Ted the Poster Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Hmmm... I guess Neeson will be alright. Still would've preferred Rickman, though.
Guest El Satanico Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Neeson may not be what you consider ideal casting, but the important part is that Neeson is a good actor.
starvenger Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Hmm, was Lucius Fox a comic character, or was he created specifically for TAS? Glad that they're taking a cue for Spider-Man, and getting ACTORS for the villain roles as well.
Guest thebigjig Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Jesus that rocks the planet... Neeson is one of my favorite actors and Freeman is just fanfuckingtastic... when this project was first announced, I was skeptical, but the more I read and hear about it, the more excited I get

Too bad they haven't figured this out for Superman yet. I'd so mark out for a "World's Finest" if it was done right...

I've never been high on superman, but if the right cast was chosen, I'm sure I would definitely be excited... and it looks like that is NOT going to happen god I hate Ashton Kutcher
Guest El Satanico Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 What the hell is with the random "I hate Ashton Kutcher"?
Guest thebigjig Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 What the hell is with the random "I hate Ashton Kutcher"? He's heavily favored to take the role of superman
bobobrazil1984 Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Now... for anyone who's keeping score: BATMAN: Director Christopher Nolan of Memento and Insomnia. Christian Bale, fanboy favorite for ages. MORGAN FREEMAN! LIAM NEESON! Katie Holmes! MICHAEL CAINE! SUPERMAN: Director McG of Charlies Angels (:-D) Beyonce Knowles the POP SINGER Rumored: ASHTON KUTCHER as Superman.
Guest El Satanico Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 There's been all kind of rumors for superman...they should be taken with a grain of salt. Besides the Ashton Kutcher rumors are extremely old and he hasn't been mentioned anytime recently.

Tony149 Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 Nesson isn't Ra's after all. From Superherohype.com In a bit of a blunder, Variety reported yesterday that Liam Neeson was playing the villain, Ra's Al Ghul, in Christopher Nolan's Batman. The trade has now issued a correction, saying that Neeson instead is playing Henri Ducard, mentor to Bruce Wayne in the Warner Bros. film. This brings us back to square one with the villains. All we know is that Cillian Murphy is a villain in the film, but the studio has not disclosed who.
Guest El Satanico Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 Cillian Murphy better be "Scarecrow"
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 Here's the article: For those who weren't aware, Christopher Nolan (Memento) will be directing the new Batman movie. Christian Bale stars as the Caped Crusader in the project which will start shooting March 16 in London. Also cast are Michael Caine (as butler Alfred), Cillian Murphy and Katie Holmes. Morgan Freeman and Liam Neeson are confirmed to have joined the cast of Warner Bros.' new Batman film, reports Variety. Freeman will play Lucius Fox, a respected businessman and the CEO of billionaire Bruce Wayne's mega-conglom, based in Gotham City. Liam Neeson plays the villain, Ra's al Ghul, a wealthy international terrorist.
2GOLD Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 Are any mainstream comic villians in this one? I'm not dogging it, I'm actually just curious. It sounds like an awesome project but I'm wondering who the villian is in terms of name dropped BATMAN comic foe. Is it Scarecrow? Clayface? Who is it?
Anakin Flair Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 Hmm, was Lucius Fox a comic character, or was he created specifically for TAS? Glad that they're taking a cue for Spider-Man, and getting ACTORS for the villain roles as well. He's a real character- he ran Wayne Enterprises while Bruce was in Gotham after Cataclysm and during No Man's Land.
Guest El Satanico Posted February 21, 2004 Report Posted February 21, 2004 Are any mainstream comic villians in this one? The guy who becomes Scarecrow is in it, but I don't believe Scarecrow appears in this movie. Ra's Al Ghul is the only main villian as far as we know at this time.
Sass Posted February 21, 2004 Report Posted February 21, 2004 Based on the reports I've read, these are the Bat villains who appear to be in the running for the movie. Possible villains: Main: Ra's Al Ghul Lower-tier villains (possible henchman to main): Scarecrow and/or Reaper spin-off.
2GOLD Posted February 21, 2004 Report Posted February 21, 2004 I'm not really sure who Ra is. Can someone fill me in on what the story is with him?
The Fett Posted February 21, 2004 Report Posted February 21, 2004 http://batman-on-film.com/b5news.html It sounds like Ken Watanabe could be cast as Ras. Anyone else think he looks exactly like The Rock?
Guest El Satanico Posted February 21, 2004 Report Posted February 21, 2004 No...it's just his eyebrows
