Reason Why Joanie Laurer No Showed TNA PPV

Apparently she is still a stuck up b*tch...

Joanie Laurer did not appear on the TNA PPV this past Wednesday because she made some last second demands that upset the promotion. After already agreeing to a coach flight, Laurer demanded a first class flight at the last moment. She also made other last second demands. Because of the demands, TNA opted not to deal with her. It is unlikely she will appear with the promotion in the future.

TNA Proving Unable To Secure Top Stars

Hogan, Chyna, Savage, Nash, etc...

NWA: TNA has again postponed the Bound for Glory PPV from the April 4th date. No new date is scheduled. This marks the third false date that TNA has passed on to cable companies, which is ruining the promotion's credibility.

One problem is that TNA is proving to be unable to secure top stars. Hulk Hogan backed out of his proposed involvement, as did Joanie Laurer. TNA advertised both without signing them to contracts. Randy Savage, the latest big name expected to join TNA, is now apparently having second thoughts and is delaying signing his deal. Kevin Nash, who was considering working TNA, is starting to think otherwise after watching a few TNA shows and feeling that it was minor league. Roddy Piper also never mentions TNA in any of his mainstream appearances.

Wrestlers Losing Faith In TNA

Morale going down...

Many wrestlers are starting to lose faith in TNA as a company and are looking at it now as more of a job. Before, wrestlers took pride in the promotion and helping it grow. The reason for this is frustration with the storylines and booking. Most wrestlers believe that Jeff Jarrett and Dutch Mantel are still writing the shows, but some signs indicate that Vince Russo is getting more and more involved.

1. No Chyna makes me happy.

2. They have to stop telling the PPV people they plan on a show until they have signed contracts. OR EVEN BETTER...don't use those wrestlers. You want to get the wrestlers faith in you back? Tell them you're going to go ahead with the show and showcase their talent. Nash/Hogan/Savage...they aren't TNA. Styles/Sabin/Raven...that's TNA. Run the show with Raven beating Jarrett for the title in the Main Event. You might not get as many buys as you would with Hogan...but there's a better chance that your show won't suck and people will actually like the product.

3. I always figured that the wrestlers would like Russo. He tries to get everyone over, and when he's in control...you collect a paycheck for 4 minutes of work.

At least TNA is smart enough to tell Joanie LOW-er or however you pronounce it to Fuck off in not so many words. She's nothing and she can deal with it.

I for one don't want Grandpa Savage who might break his hip doing an elbow or Brittle Bone Nash who can tear a muscle walking. Piper can go back to being an alcoholic and Hogan can do whatever he wants because TNA can't afford him for too many shows if he ever comes in.

Shouldn't this have happened, like, six months ago?

Well, if TNA want top stars, they should go for stars that fit in with the whole 'Total Nonstop Action' philosophy and the current fan base. Lyger, Scorpio...hell, if they're dead set on this whole Jarrett/Hogan thing, bring in Chono...he was there to save Hogan at that press conference.

I actually like the Chono idea.... he's probably way cheaper than Hulk too.

The only "big name" star out there that might help TNA is Scott Hall, and I doubt he'd ever be able to keep his act together that long. The focus needs to return to 2 things: building up TNA's own roster and the greatness of the X Division. Doing these 2 things will help TNA. Much of the current crap they're booking will not.

Are Jarrets feelings on a match against Hogan known?

Something gives me the impression that he has his mind set on wrestling (and beating) a name like Hogan on a PPV, no matter what good/bad it does TNA.

Funny how Kevin Nash doesn't realize that his workrate is minor league though......

This is not good.

Honestly, I lost total interest in TNA after AJ lost the belt. Jarrett has done NOTHING with it since then, and without a strong top program and direction I don't blame the wrestlers for losing morale.

It's time for somebody new from the X Division to get a strong, concerted push to the top. Sabin's been connecting with the crowds bigtime practically since he debuted, so put the X belt on Daniels or somebody and start having Sabin challenge JJ.

Or pull the trigger on an Abyss title reign and make him a dominant monster heel.
