Anakin Flair Posted July 5, 2004 Report Posted July 5, 2004 yesterday, I watched Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone 7/10 Reservoir Dogs 9/10 And today I'm watching Blazzing Saddles 9/10 Funny how you finally get most of the jokes in he movie once you get older. EDIT- Two bad things about the new Blazing Saddles DVD- the deleted scenes weren't included into the movie, but are on a seperate menu, and ther is no incert, which I find weird.
The Mandarin Posted July 5, 2004 Report Posted July 5, 2004 Spiderman 2- 8/10 Easily my favourite super hero movie.
nogoodnick Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 Jay and silent Bob strike back 8.5/10 I like Kevin Smith movies and while it may be dumber than shit its fucking hilarious Dodgeball 5.5/10 Cant really complain about a movie I saw for free
HarleyQuinn Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 American Movie - 7.5 Dario Argento's "Trauma" - 8.5
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 Spider Man 2 - 9.0/10 Bad Santa - 7.5/10
Youth N Asia Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 Spiderman 2 9 out of 10...slightly better than the first
Youth N Asia Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 Just adding onto Spidey 2. more J.K. Simmons = better movie
Insane Bump Machine Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 Tears of the Sun - ***1/2 Shrek 2 - **** The Negotiator - ****
Hank Kingsley Posted July 7, 2004 Report Posted July 7, 2004 Jackie Brown - 8/10 Robert Forster and Bridget Fonda were great.
MrRant Posted July 7, 2004 Report Posted July 7, 2004 Logan's Run 10/10 Logan's Run owns both you and all your relatives living, dead and yet to be concieved.
Insane Bump Machine Posted July 7, 2004 Report Posted July 7, 2004 My Sassy Girl - **** really funny and charming korean comedy. It's getting a Hollywood remake with Jennifer Lopez as the female lead, which means it'll probably suck.
Insane Bump Machine Posted July 7, 2004 Report Posted July 7, 2004 not a movie, but I watched The Shield Season 2 finale today. *****, just an incredible show. Can't wait to watch the third season now.
Youth N Asia Posted July 7, 2004 Report Posted July 7, 2004 not a movie, but I watched The Shield Season 2 finale today. *****, just an incredible show. Can't wait to watch the third season now. Best show on tv! I think season 3 was just as strong as season 2.
nogoodnick Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 Farenheit 911 7/10 Very entertaining. Made me hate Bush more but not as good as bowling for Columbine.
Si82 Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 Election (9/10) I loved that film. A brilliant black comedy.
Insane Bump Machine Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 Elf - *** When The Last Sword Is Drawn - ****1/2 absolutely brilliant. If it wasn't for the overly long and sentimental ending it would get five stars.
Insane Bump Machine Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 Hellboy - ** surprisingly boring. Well, maybe not that surprising since it's from the same guy as Blade II which also nearly brought me to sleep. The character has potential, but please let someone talented do the sequel. PS: Oh crap, I just checked and del Toro is making the next one as well.
Jingus Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 The Stepford Wives (remake): 4/10. Yawn. Not as good as the original, and I wasn't even a fan of that one. Nicole Kidman continues to be about the most boinkable woman on earth, but this was just manipulative crap. Spiderman 2: 8/10. Doc Ock is a HELL of a lot cooler than Green Goblin.
spiny norman Posted July 10, 2004 Report Posted July 10, 2004 In the past few days: The Professional - 7.5/10 I was a tad disappointed after all the hype. It probably should be an 8 or so, but I was expecting a certain 10/10, and it was merely very good rather than cinema classic. I thought Gary Oldman was a bit over-the-top and I thought the relationship of Jean Reno and Natalie Portman was not as interesting as it could/should have been. Spiderman 2 - 8/10. Very good superhero movie... X2 - 8.5/10 ...but not as good as this one. Still the best.
Insane Bump Machine Posted July 10, 2004 Report Posted July 10, 2004 Blind Swordsman - The Tale of Zatoichi **** The new Kitano film was my introduction to the Zatoichi character and I loved it. So I sought out the original movie from 1962 and it's just as good. The acting by Shintarô Katsu is amazing and even better than Kitano's performance.
