Question: Why not nominate a horror flick for best makeup? I mean hell, from the clips I just saw, it takes 100x the work to do all the makeup for a horror flick. Plus over the years makeup jobs on horror sets have been pretty imaginative.

I can't imagine another movie matching the work the makeup artists put into the LOTR films.

I'm not bitter, I thought ROTK was a good movie, but just that good. I didn't get caught up in this LOTR-fandom, OMG THE BEST MOVIE EVER, bullshit.

Last Samurai was great as far as art design, costumes, cinematography are concerned, but it wasn't as good as a film as Master & Commander.
