Its quite simple. The media never gives my team the credit it deserves. They're always hating on my team, just because they've got a beef with our star player. However, they're in LOVE with our team's hated enemy. They can't stop giving their star player verbal blowjobs. Meanwhile, they ignore his obvious shortcomings, such as his lack of talent, and propensity towards fornicating with other men.

Hope that clears everything up.

The Media doesn't like my Yankees.

Correction, the "opinion" side of the media hates your Yankees. The broadcasters, pre/post game hosts, Sports Center anchors, local anchors are all Yankee lovers.

Its the radio hosts, newpaper columnists, talking head "baseball" experts that are Anti-Yankee

As was discussed earlier in here, about the media 180's, the Patriots were shit on by the media for a loooooooong time. Even when they beat the supposed "Greatest show on Turf", what did FOX do? "Hey, let's go to a nice long piece about Pat Summerall, seeing he's gone after this game." Couldn't that wait? Of course, this year with them going 15 straight to end the season, the media was all on their nuts once the wins started piling up, but the fans of other teams became big time haters. I guess I know how Yankee fans feel now....

The media simultaneously loves and hates the Yankees.

The Media tends to hate the "idea" of the Yankees and like team itself, I guess.

UNC and Duke are two major media darlings and Dukie V made me sick when he was calling the game tonight calling UNC one of the best and all that other rubbish when in actuality, UNC is just middle of the road while Duke continually proves they belong near the top(despite how much I hate them, they *are* good) and deserve the hype they get.

God, I love watching Roy Williams and his squad of under-achieving kids screw up every year despite having most opinion writers all over their sacks. It just warms my heart when they fail and continue to fail, heh.

For football anyway, the national media loves any team with a charismatic/lovably quirky coach, but only if/when the team is winning, and even more so if that coach has ever won a national title or Super Bowl. Recent love affairs have been with the Buccaneers (Gruden), Cowboys (Parcells), Chiefs (Vermeil), Patriots (Belichek), Giants (Fassell), Jets (Edwards) and Steelers (Cowher).
