NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2004 By the trailer alone, one would think this is just another teen comedy toned down for the masses, however one thing that kind of has me interested is that this is Rated R. Does that mean for the first time in a good while we will get a teen comedy that isn't handicapped in it's effort by a PG-13 rating? Or is this just a deceptive R rating for possibly containing a scene or two of breasts? I dunno, but here is a link to some clips from the movie.......judge for yourself~! treble 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2004 This should help. Apparently, there are some breasts, but not the ones that most people would like to see the most.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2004 Dont get your hopes up too much: The Girl Next Door Rated R for "strong sexual content, language and some drug/alcohol use" Im guessing that the main character (Elisha Cuthbert) playing a PORN STAR would have you believe there might be some nudity, but alas, no. Studio: So, get this, the main character,Elisha Cuthbert, turns out to be a PORN STAR! MPAA Person: NC 17! Studio: But, there isn't any nudity. MPAA Person: R! Studio: But thats not fair! MPAA Person: NC17! Studio: Alright its fair! Its fair! MPAA Person: R! eh, so theres some nudity, you've seen em before probably..
NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2004 well it's not only just nudity itself that is drawing me to this film. Just the content itself seems a little more edgy then most teen movies. I dunno, my mind still isn't made up on it yet, but I feel more drawn to this then lets say umm.......Euro Trip.
NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2004 I enjoyed the last of the clips the best. The one where he saw her undressing next door, as I can relate because almost the same exact thing happened to me when I was approx 16, and yes it was the girl next door, only I happened to already know and go to school with her, so it was an even worse feeling when she saw me.......bwahaha.... Guest OctoberBlood Report post Posted March 4, 2004 Eh, saw a clip of the movie months ago and have been hyped ever since. Yeah .. months. Come out already.
Max Danger 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2004 I've been hyped about this movie for awhile, mainly because I intend to make Elisha Cuthbert my wife someday. But you don't get to see her naughty bits, although I read in an interview with her that you do see her ass and the side of her breasts, if that interests you. She says it wasn't a body double, save for the porn scenes. So, eh.
Guest OctoberBlood Report post Posted March 9, 2004 The Girl Next Door. Not your typical teen movie. This was fantastic! Not sure how to describe the film, but it was great in EVERY aspect. Emile Hirsch, Elisha Cutherbert, Chris Marquette, Tim Olphant, and Paul Dano were great. The direction of the film was so much better than any other teenie film I've seen in a long time, and I hate to put this film in that category, but in the publics eyes, that's what it is. Everything down to the GREAT choice in music (through out the whole movie, and ending with Teenage Wasteland by the Who!), to the hilarious dialogue and scenes. I love this movie. I like it more than American Pie (highly overrated), I will say that. Score: 8.5 - Go see it on April 9th, for sure!
