Who else was LOL when Julian was screwing his wife and damn near drove her head thru the wall. :)

That was funny. If he didn't knock her up then he's never knockin her up. Sadly she'll probably get pregnant and then he'll leave her because he goes gay again.

Anyone else hear that this is a 15-episode season instead of the normal 13?

haven't heard that....would pwn though, Nip/uck starts June 22, that's 5 weeks away, so that leaves enough time for 5 more episodes.

I have heard something about a 15 episode season this time around. I'm hoping it's true.

And I can totally see Mara buying it before the season's up. She's just dying for it.

This show is fucking fantastic! It's like a basic cable equivalent to the Sopranos......you know, back when the Sopranos didn't start sucking.

BTW, did you notice that Avendca (sp?) wife didn't say that she was sorry for the way she was acting to him. I so wanted for David to bitch slap for being such an asshole to him.

And as for Mara I can see her buying it before the end of the season AND her mom from the looks of things.

Actually, The Sopranos has only had one shit season, the fourth season (last year). The third season wasn't perfect but it was still better than 90% of the rest of television and the fifth season (current) is going good so far.

There haven't been any wide and unexplaned plot shifts, unlike last season (the wide swing in Meadow's behavior from whiny, selfish, bitchy "Hell-OOO! My boyfriend was killed!" Meadow at the start of the season to the well-behaved, idealist future lawyer Meadow about three eps later for example).

The main reason that The Shield is better than The Sopranos, is that the actually PAY-OFF their numerous set-ups. Where as the The Sopranos leave story lines dangling or end them abruptly and anti-climatically. The Carmella/Furio story, for example, would have had some resolution other than Furio just leaving had it been on The Shield.

For the most part, the episodes of The Sopranos could happen in any order. As a result the season ends up being less than the sum of its parts and feels dissapointing, even if each individual episode was good. The Shield is much more cohesive from start to finish.

Have to say, I didn't like last night's episode too much. Somewhat medicore by Shield standards...not enough Vic for one thing, and a kind of dissapointing way Claudette & Dutch catch the rapist (parking tickets? Come on...) I got a feeling this isn't the last of the BJ angle, its just not like the writers to end such a hot arc with a whimper (we could see him reappear like Julien's gay lover did last season). And I gotta say about Shane's fiance's mother: Like mother, like daughter, like son-in-law. What little shame this woman must have to blackmail her own pregnant daughter.

I was sort of disappointed with this episode at first. It felt like a good episode, but it also felt like they rushed the conclusion to a bunch of short seaon arcs. I'm going to really have to see how things pan out in the long run. Dutch has been the shit this season, and him starting to lose his edge is going to play out so well.

I liked the Acevada parts of this episode. I was expecting, from the previews, that he was going to make him suck dick but this paid off much better and I could do without the male sex scenes.

I'm disappointed with the rape scene, but I like that it totally flew against Dutch's expectations and profiles, especially if this goes like it seems the previews are hinting at.

Julien's just strange. On a lot of levels. But I think they're moving towardsa a much darker, more violent character rather than back to gay. Or back to super gay. He's gotten as lot more violent and assertive, and I'd hate to see them lose that.

I'm still waiting for Shane v. Vic. And they've still got the black dude hanging around in the background. With everything else, I figure the shits going to hit the fan.

a Shield video game?

Just as everyone thought, the Season 3 DVD has been approved for production and release. Current release date has been set to be around Christmas, but that could change.

Meanwhile, at the recent E3 event, a demo version of The Shield video game was shown to spectators, and a ton of info was given out. The game will play like an episode of the show in a 3rd person view, giving you the option to do what you wish to get the results you need. Do you do things the legal way, or do you use your heat and a little force to get your way? From what was shown, you'll get to play as any of the 8 stars and Ronnie, following the case that's given to you. We also know that it will be released for both Xbox and PS2 (that's what you get Game Cube fans), with the earliest release date set at February 2005. Click More Info to see pictures from the trial version showing Shane and Vic, brought to you by ign.com.

Damn phoneline...damn no internet.

I was just hoping David would gap that toothless shit as the Strike Team were walking in the room.

Although I am sad that the picture looks to be out of play now though.

Personally I would love to see them release it sooner but I guess that before XMas might be better than having to wait until January

Wicked! I'm glad they are including Ronnie as a playable character. One more reason for me to possibly buy the game when it comes out...

Cool concept but I have to wonder if the game will have penalties that affect the flow of the game depending on what choices you make.

After watching Tuesday's episode I wouldn't be suprised if the photo was always planned on being a red-herring and the video tape of Acaveda going medival on that one suspect's ass being the real smoking gun that gets used on him.

After all, Vic is the king of manipulation so I have to think that he was smart enough to make a copy of the tape before handing it over to Acaveda. Especially given the bad blood between Vic and David...

Just finished watching my season 2 DVDs again...it's a small thing but something Vic and co forgot about when looking for the marked bills, some of it could have been in the brick they stashed at that armenian's place to make it look like he was in on it to get him to leave town....not a big deal, would've been a nice little reference in they mentioned it, if only once even if it didn't go anywhere.
