I think they will move Orton back to SD! anyway.

Oh, God, please no. Because we all know who will be Orton's new Flair/mentor

don't forget that he's likely going to get A shitload of Movie and Japan Deals...

He's better off leaving the bullshit politics of WWE.

If Austin did stun both guys and declare himself the winner. He would get even more over than he is.....come back for one match to say a John Cena or someone of the like, put them over and there's your new star. I think they will move Orton back to SD! anyway.

if that were to happen, the crowd shit all over it... I very seriously doubt the MSG crowd would want a non finish like that to a match that has been hyped the way it has

What we have here, folks, is proof that Brock is smarter than Kurt Angle.

Yuh huh...cause a written contract and financial security doesn't come close to unemployment and an uncertain future.

Yeah but Brock's a millionaire now... if he's smart with his money, and invests, he could retire now and do nothing the rest of his life and live well

Didn't he just buy a private jet? That's smart money

And what makes you think that Austin will come back for one more match against someone like Cena? Last I checked, the only way Austin was going to do a singles match was if it was with someone that could protect him well. No offense, but I'm not sure Cena would be one of those people that Austin would consider could do so.

it was when he was a traveling performer...(cut down on overall payments)

Not anymore though. I'm sure he can sell it right back though...

The scary thing is if WWE decides to have Orton(Another no due paying rookie) RKO all 3 of them and then turn SD into the Orton show. Or replace one overpaid prima donna(Brock) by paying tons of cash to another overpaid prima donna(Shitberg).

If SD turns into the all Orton show, then the WWE will lose a HELL of a lot of their fanbase immediately. Although it would get the HHH vs. Randy Orton at WMXXI storyline rolling, that Triple H wanted at WMXX.

And frankly if Goldberg gets resigned instead of Brock, does he stay on RAW or go to SD? If he stays on RAW, then we still end up with the same problems of who the hell is taking Brock's place on SD (assuming we still have all the problems, like Edge heading to RAW as well, and the fact nobody is getting traded).

Brock leaving WWE does not guarantee he can work in Japan. I don't think they'd outright release him to go work matches in Japan.

New Japan/NOAH pose no threat to the wwe so why wouldn't Vince? if the NJPW/NWA TNA deal had gone through then i'd understand.

Vince doesn't want to see anyone else get the Sapp/Lesnar match that will without question be HUGE...like Hogan/Andre levels.

Why not have Edge go to RAW and have Goldberg go to SmackDown! and announce it as an official trade? It would make sense from the Goldberg standpoint anyhow... actually...

Bischoff hates Goldberg storyline wise, so he can announce the night after WM that he traded Goldberg to SD for an unnamed "free agent", due to the fact that he hates Goldberg and Heyman would want Goldberg on SD!. Heyman thinks he traded away some no-name talent until the "free agent" is revealed as none other than Edge!

Pwinsider just said that since Brock and Sable were a couple they are not sure how this will affect her.

Odd, seeing as how Brock is married and has a young daughter.

Apparently true..not sure where you got that Lesnar is married and has a child.

If you do that, you'd also have to have the WWE willing to promote Goldberg as bad ass monster like Lesnar. Please excuse me while I have no faith in that whatsoever, since Lesnar didn't get that when he needed the build into this match against Goldberg.

Since Lesnar wants time off I doubt that TNA can actually provide him with enough incentives to swiftly come back and shock us all.

Besides, Lesnar is locked up with Vince for 7 years regardless. Unless Vince waives that contract there is no chance in hell that he'll work for TNA or practically anyone else (maybe MMA since that isn't wrestling).

WWE needs to start having the famous WCW 60 second Goldberg squash matches. Against Cruiserweights.

Hey... at least they'd get on TV. :P

And then we end up with the problem of Goldberg once again being that "unstoppable force". Except, this time Triple H will get him in a match at Wrestlemania XXI against Orton and when Orton goes over Goldberg, it'll be played up as that Orton is better than Goldberg and the rest of the SD roster. Which then makes Smackdown which looks inferior right now, to down right pathetic in that situation in the eyes of the marks.

He could pull a Sable and show up sitting in the audience.

Tenay: Look, it's a big guy! What a big guy! What is the big guy doing here?

More from Meltzer

There are a lot of people suspicious of the Brock Lesnar story because of the idea that everyone "knew" he was pinning Bill Goldberg and now there is question. I don't put that out of the realm of possibility, but by working the company's work force, it will create a terrible environment and nobody will ever believe anything anyone says, just look at WCW at the end. The seeds of this have been building for some time, really since the beginning of the year. I'm aware of several conversations Lesnar has had with friends, including those not in the business that are consistent with his current plans. Lesnar's final match, according to what he was telling everyone last night, will be at Wrestlemania. He talked about trying out for the NFL, which is an admitted long shot, since he never played in college, although he is certainly an NFL caliber athlete. When you look past Mania, you see Foley and Rock gone (there has been talk of Foley staying another month but I don't think that's a definite), HHH leaving soon for a movie, Lesnar and Goldberg gone, Undertaker back with no heels to work with (unless they change plans with Lesnar gone and put Undertaker and Kane on the same roster) and Flair in question. Besides Undertaker, the only addition is Edge. And both champions are at this point unproven as headliners. The company also just released a trade ad campaign trying to up its corporate profile, with Lesnar as the focal point of some of the ads. Lesnar told people last night that he was through with wrestling, and that he liked performing, but he didn't like the travel and the other aspects of the business. At 26, most expect him back at some point even if he himself doesn't.

WWE is going to shit. pwinsider just said Sable and Torrie had a screaming match which spilled into JR's office and Ron Simmons and the Big Show had to be seperated, as the big show was standing up to the office.

Who wants to make a bet that Torrie was making some absolutely nasty comments about Lesnar that Sable took offense too.

Shit that makes me want to know if the woman's tag match can go off ok.

Simmons and Show go at it? Show standing up to the office? Why do I get the suspesion that the office said something that was particularly unfounded and Simmons, which got Show involved.

Geezus, this is like the ultimate breakdown of the WWE at works from the looks of things.

This is all amusing, but I really don't want to see the company go under because of politics.

WWE has been trying to patch their roster since 2002 with proven talent (Hogan, Goldberg). That backfired, and now the undeveloped/underdeveloped talent is left to shit on itself with Rock/Austin/Foley unable to carry the company anymore.

Not good at all.
