Funaki: I know it sounds strange, but you have to believe me.

 

KID OUTRAGEOUS: Funaki, it doesn't just sound strange, it sounds absolutely crazy, man. How can you even prove that?

 

Funaki: With this...

 

*Funaki pulls a bottle out of his pocket marked "Formula H2X"*

 

Hurricane: Hey, that looks like...

 

Funaki: Hurrijuice... vastly improved Hurrijuice, actually. In the future rebel forces and scientists were able to finally create a formula more powerful than the original Formula H and eventually we took DOOMSTORM down.

 

Hurricane: So why are you here, then? In the future you've won...

 

Funaki: No... there were too many lost... too many people dead... No Sports Entertainment left... I had to come back to prevent it from ever happening. But I came back too early and my mind was effected by the time travel... I randomly went around trying to find my way and after a few years I finally remembered my mission but I forgot who the target was... all I could remember was one word and that was "Storm".

 

Lady Insane T.A.: DOOMSTORM

 

Funaki: Yes...

 

KID OUTRAGEOUS: So lets pretend you are telling the truth.. what do you want US to do?

 

Funaki: I want you to drink this and I want you to continue fighting.

 

*Points to the Hurrijuice*

 

Funaki: It should be enough to beat them..

 

Hurricane: Well, I don't plan on giving up...

 

*Hurricane takes the Hurrijuice and drinks and passes it to SuperRosie*

 

SuperRosie: I'm with ya Hurricane!

 

*SuperRosie drinks*

 

*KID OUTRAGEOUS looks at Lady Insane T.A.*

 

KID OUTRAGEOUS.: Well, it won't be the first strange liquid I'd swallow and it won't be the last.

 

*KID OUTRAGEOUS drinks*

 

Lady Insane T.A.: Oh, TAG.

 

*Lady Insane T.A. tags KID OUTRAGEOUS and then drinks the Hurrijuice*

 

Lady Insane T.A.: Well, I don't feel any different.

 

Funaki: Don't worry, you will soon enough...

 

*Hurricane screams as a really cheap, fake, computer generated light begins to glow around him*

You could probably make it into a neat angle if a face went on a losing streak, then snapped, turned heel, and cheated to win all the time, but I doubt that'll happen.

The Freedom 4ce face off against the Sons of DOOM in 4 separate singles matches (the stipulation being, if they can win 2 of the 3 matches, Hurricane would get to fight DOOMSTORM):

 

SR Sinister vs. KID OUTRAGEOUS

SuperRosie vs. Hide

Princess Doom vs. Lady Insane T.A.

 

All 3 matches are very quickly and very easily won by 3 of the 4 and when it comes time for Hurricane vs. DOOMSTORM, DOOMSTORM skips town.

 

The next week, back in the White Castle of DOOM, DOOMSTORM finally gives SR Sinister his wish and lets him drink from the Flask of DOOM which contains the Hurrijuice. He also gives some to Hide and Princess DOOM and looks into the camera and challenges the Freedom 4ce to a 4 on 4 match up. Hurricane responds to their challenge and accepts, with the stipulation being that DOOMSTORM must unmask if he loses and disband the Sons of DOOM.

 

After Hurricane accepts the challenge, Lance Storm -someone who was on a bit of a losing streak himself- asks if he can join the Freedom 4ce. Hurricane, knowing there are strength in numbers, lets Lance join; but says he can't drink Formula H2X unless they really need him.

 

The next week DOOMSTORM accepts Hurricanes stipulations and the match is made. A brawl ensues inside the ring between the Freedom 4ce and the Sons of DOOM and it seems to go the F4ce's way until DOOMSTORM attacks Lance Storm and takes him hostage (Storm having been the official "cape holder"). This forces the F4ce to stand-down and for the Sons of DOOM to escape. The week after DOOMSTORM offers Lance Storms' safety for another stipulation; if HE wins, then he gets Formula H2X. Hurricane reluctantly agrees and Lance is let go unharmed.

 

The 4 on 4 survivor series style match has the Freedom 4ce dominating already eliminating Princess Doom and SR Sinister. Hide and SuperRosie brawl to the back where Rosie is taken out mysteriously and Hide returns to the ring with a smile on his face. Lance and Funaki see to Rosie and he's done. The Sons of DOOM cheat and get KID OUTRAGEOUS DQ'd as well and then take out Lady Insane T.A. Only the Hurricane is left. Storm pleads with Funaki to give him Formula H2X so he can go save Hurricane and prevent the Formula from going into the wrong hands and Funaki eventually agrees. Lance drinks from the bottle and they cut back to the ring. Lance runs down and gets in Hurricanes corner "officially" taking Rosies place. Just when Hurricane is about to make the tag, Storm jumps down from the apron and grins. DOOMSTORM and Hide continue to beat up Hurricane as Lance leaves the ring much to the disappointment and bewilderment of Lady Insane T.A. and KID OUTRAGEOUS. Hurricane eventually gets pinned and Sons of DOOM celebrate.

 

The next week the Sons of DOOM enter the ring holding Formula H2X and each take a sip of it.

 

DOOMSTORM: I was once Matt Hardy, the sensei of Mattitude... a real loser. Then I became Professor Doom and I learned something; that being evil feels real good! And then, after I drank the Hurrijuice, I learned something more; that winning feels good. And I have to say that winning last week and winning this Formula H2X feels damn good! And I'd like to say that this was all part of my masterplan. That I was the mastermind behind every step. But I was but a mere pawn in the game, hahaha... because the real master... the real master power behind it all was...

 

*the lights go dark*

 

*lightning strikes inside the arena and thunder claps*

 

*A light hits the entrance way and a figure is revealed*

 

DOOMSTORM: MASTER! MASTER! HAAHAHAH! MASTER!!! YOU'RE HERE!!! HHAHAHAHA

 

*The figure moves towards the ring*

 

*The Sons of DOOM move to let the figure in*

 

*The lights turn on again and a fog is in the ring*

 

*An almost Skeletorian figure is in the ring*

 

DOOMSTORM: Ladies and Gentlemen.. THE STORM MASTER!!!!!!!!!

 

StormMASTER: Thank you kind DOOMSTORM, you're loyalty will be well rewarded in the future... hehehehhahahhahahahaa.

StormMASTER: You see, I was never a loser. NEVER. I just played my part like everyone else. But I knew, I knew my time would come. My TIME would come. heheh... and that time came when you, Funaki, revealed who you truly were. And that is when I realized my true destiny... so I came to the Hurricane and asked for a spot on the team, and I knew you wouldn't give me the Formula right away, but I knew that if I secretly alligned with the Sons of DOOM, that I could use my mind... my mastermind... to trick you all into giving it to me. Irony can be so Ironic sometimes, eh Funaki? You came back to stop a "Storm" from brewing, all this time you thought it was DOOMSTORM, when in reality, you created it and it's me! ME! THE StormMASTER!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAH!~ THE WORLD IS MINE!

This feud is fully of shitty workers: John Heidenreich, Rosie, Lita, Stevie Richards... it's not like the focus is on work here. This is a story-driven feud and Jeff Hardy returning to save his brother makes sense.

What's sad is they just stuck Matt in the same gimmick they had Jeff in, only difference being Matt is a heel.

 

It's hard to believe that you have a situation, where Matt "DUMPS" his girlfriend on RAW to get a decent heel reaction and then you follow it up...by having him lose every match after that.

 

They literally went, "Ok, we fired Jeff Hardy. But Matt has the same last name. I doubt the fans will notice, a Hardy is a Hardy."

But now that I think of it...

 

This is probably my best creative work. I weaved together the "Funaki: Scientist from the future", "StormMaster - super-villian", and managed to merge it successfully with the "Matt Hardy: Big Stinkin Loser" storyline and actually kept the concept of "losing" throughout. The play-on names, I felt, didn't get the respect it deserved. John Heidenreich as "Hide" is a stroke of genius as it plays off his name "Heid" and his character (Bi-Polar) in a Jeckyll & Hyde sorta way. Lady Insane T.A. is a personal favourite of mine. Acronyms R.O.K. (Rule Our Kingdom). DOOMSTORM has so much potential too it, as he can play up both Doom and Storm elements in his promo. The twist with Lance Storm at the end, I felt, was extremely well done and really fit into the storyline; it's the crown jewel of the storyline and Funaki causing his own future's downfall is a mindbender. But what I am most proud of with this DOOMSTORM storyline, it could honestly go on for a while. There's so much stuff to it and so much potential and so many characters and plot twists that it could go on for almost a year. Staring off with Matt Hardy losing, then him trying to be Hurricanes lackey, then trying to take out Rosie, then trying to take out Hurricane, then becoming Professor Doom, then becoming DOOMSTORM, then Rosie becoming a Superhero, then Jeff Hardy coming in, then Lita... etc. etc. etc. It keeps going and it's seamless with each plot twist and turn enhancing the story. Each character has his/her motivation and the themes of loss and following and destiny run throughout.

 

Is it a classic? I don't know, it's all me and Classic threads should be about a group of people creating something. I think it's really good work that should deserve some recognition, but a classic?
