The latest on Edge is that it appears that Raw has won out and will get him as a top babyface when he returns to action after WrestleMania. The Smackdown brand had been fighting for him, but as of right now, it appears that Raw will end up with his talents. Edge, who is coming back from neck surgery and a foot injury, is scheduled to be back in action for WWE by April.

 

With Brock Lesnar leaving after WrestleMania, and the loss of Edge, many on the Smackdown roster are starting to feel as if the company views them as the second class promotion in the company. They also point to the fact that their show, which was named for the Rock, has lost him to Raw as well.

Okay. So you lose one of your top stars on Smackdown, but another is coming back.

 

So logically, the best choice would be to put him on Raw. They're really asking for a miserable death, aren't they?

Well, at least WWE is preparing for the future. Putting Edge on a roster that doesn't need him considering they already have so many potential Main-Eventers....and taking him off a roster that just lost their top guy. Sometimes I think the intelligence of the WWE staff is terribly underrated.

 

Here's to hoping that Van Dam winds up jumping to Smackdown.
