Guest Anglesault Posted March 13, 2004 Report Posted March 13, 2004 (edited) What kind of deal does Chavo Sr. (The man carrying Smackdown on his back. ) have with the WWE? Does he have a pay per appearence deal? Does he have an actual long term deal? You have to assume he has something, though, right? He isn't just on three Pay Per Views and lord knows how many SD!s out of the goodness of his and McMahon's heart. Edited March 13, 2004 by Anglesault
Guest Astro Posted March 13, 2004 Report Posted March 13, 2004 Acccording to Metz, he was supposed to do 2 shows, but they keep asking him back
Youth N Asia Posted March 13, 2004 Report Posted March 13, 2004 He's defintaly the most entertaining non worker they have right now. Hm and Junior play off of each other very well.
Downhome Posted March 13, 2004 Report Posted March 13, 2004 I wouldn't mind if they keep him period, for as long as they have him someone to be with.
Jebus Posted March 13, 2004 Report Posted March 13, 2004 About Chavo's match at WrestleMania: "This is a shenanigan!!!" GOLD!
Mecha Mummy Posted March 13, 2004 Report Posted March 13, 2004 Chavo Sr. is the man. He's like Smackdown's Teddy Long; a guy you'd never think you'd see come back and manage, but he did and he's HILARIOUS in the role.
King Cucaracha Posted March 13, 2004 Report Posted March 13, 2004 Chavo Sr. is the man. He's like Smackdown's Teddy Long; a guy you'd never think you'd see come back and manage, but he did and he's HILARIOUS in the role. Plus he can still wrestle if needed. Chavo Snr's done more to put Chavito over in the past month than near enough anybody...the Eddie angle only really got itneresting when he came along, and now he's adding that extra element to Chavito that he needs. Here's hoping he gets/is soon on a permanant deal.
cynicalprofit Posted March 13, 2004 Report Posted March 13, 2004 But if the company is cutting back, why hire this guy and let kanyon go? That just doesnt make sense to me. They can find a role for an old wrestler who has probably 1% previous expsoure with the WWE fanbase, but they couldn't figure out what to do with kanyon....oh wait Im using logic, forgot that doesn't apply in the wrestling world.
King Cucaracha Posted March 13, 2004 Report Posted March 13, 2004 Personally, Chavo Snr. over Kanyon. Plus, it's not hard to find something to do with Chavo Snr. when his son and brother work for the company. Kanyon was already dead in the water after the Taker incident(s).
Guest Anglesault Posted March 13, 2004 Report Posted March 13, 2004 Plus, it's not hard to find something to do with Chavo Snr. when his son and brother work for the company Exactly.
Lord of The Curry Posted March 13, 2004 Report Posted March 13, 2004 All they need to do is give him the nickname "The General" and have him wear THE HAT and we're good to go.
AndrewTS Posted March 13, 2004 Report Posted March 13, 2004 It's a shame Chavo doesn't have his pop's charisma. He does seem to be improving lately, though...
Scroby Posted March 13, 2004 Report Posted March 13, 2004 But if the company is cutting back, why hire this guy and let kanyon go? That just doesnt make sense to me. This your first time watching WWE or something?

ChrisMWaters Posted March 13, 2004 Report Posted March 13, 2004 I really like Chavo Sr. If possible, I'd say they should give him more people to manage than just Chavo Jr. Don't know who though.
Shooting Star Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 I really like Chavo Sr. If possible, I'd say they should give him more people to manage than just Chavo Jr. Don't know who though. They should hire some mexican cruiserweights and have Chavo manage them

Vern Gagne Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 What kind of worker was Chavo Sr back in his day? I've heard good things, but did anyone see any matches during his prime years.
Guest Trivia247 Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 I guess with Chavo Sr. Chavo Jr is STILL not considered a 3rd generation wrestler in the WWE. Not unless they dig up old Gory's bones and make him debut or something
