BoboBrazil 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2004 NWA-TNA Notebook: Several wrestlers and even members of the office have been lashing out against C.M. Punk following his fight with Teddy Hart. One TNA wrestler took offense at Punk supposedly telling other wrestlers at indy shows that he won the fight with Hart. "If he kicked Teddy's ass so bad, why was Teddy dancing in the street while Punk was wiping the blood off his face?" asked the wrestler. Meanwhile, TNA wrestlers and office members are taking offense to Punk complaining to others that he wasn't given a chance to get over in TNA. "That's just stupid," said one source. "Punk and Julio (Dinero) were given five or six wins in a row. They didn't catch on because they didn't look like stars." A second wrestler chimed in on Punk's appearance issues. "His whole gimmick is that he's drug free and doesn't do steroids," said the wrestler. "Just because he's drug free doesn't preclude him from going to the gym." Wrestlers have also taken offense to Punk putting Ring of Honor over in his online commentary. "Punk is again showing his arrogance and how clueless he is by going on the net and burying the company that gave him national exposure and a weekly paycheck. It shows how stupid he is to want to put all his eggs in the basket of (ROH)"... That is all that was there this week...

Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2004 Actually, CM and Julio didn't get over because they were booked to win over NOBODIES in SHORT, MEANINGLESS BRAWLS. Was CM ever given time to have an interview that meant shit? No. All he'd say was "I'm going to beat you, Sandman." That's it. And it doesn't help that when Raven comes back, CM is squashed two weeks in a row. Sorry, but The Gathering didn't get over because YOU BOOKED THEM TO BE FAILURES. And CM has every right to pimp RoH and not TNA in his livejournal. First off, it's HIS livejournal. Second off, RoH is the better (and more profitable) company. In three years, I'm willing to bet TNA will be either dead or stuck in the same position while RoH is holding shows in Japan (seeing as how they already held a show in England with the FWA). Where will CM Punk be? Near the top of the RoH card while hundreds of PAYING fans chant for him. In TNA? If Punk is still there? He'll be jerking the curtain with a meaningless hardcore brawl that doesn't show any of his true talents (the guy really is a great mat worker, and can sell like a motherfucker) while 200 people, barely half of which have paid, sit in boredom. Michrome 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2004 The hit-the-gym comment is borderline retarded, I've met Punk, and he's ripped. He's not thick and roided up, but he's definitely believable. I'm sure the "national exposure" Punk got from TNA has really helped him so much. He puts over a company with good wrestling and no glass ceiling in his livejournal. He doesn't put over a company that gives him worthless 4 minute tag matches and a FUCKING MOUTHPIECE for each show. Unbelievable, one of the best talkers anywhere given a mouthpiece. What's next, Abyss gets a bodyguard? Punk will be a popular wrestler here, in Europe, and in Japan far after TNA dies.
Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted March 17, 2004 Seriously, Punk is one talented guy, particularly on the mic. His commentary on RoH FB2003 is AWESOME, so giving him a mouthpice was retarded. He's also being horribly misused in the aformentioned quickie tag matches. Shit, he's been misused from his first DAY in TNA.
Sandman9000 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2004 CM Punk doesn't go the gym? I never knew that you can just get off the couch and go for 93:13 in the ring. Or when Samoa Joe talks about a workout in his live journal and says that he wished Punk was there, since Punk "could have pushed him even harder." That CM Punk. He's never worked out a day in his life, obviously.

He may not be superman in strength but he's conditioning is damn good for him to wrestle 90 minute matches.
BoboBrazil 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2004 Yeah whoever said that is pretty childish. It would be interesting to see who says this stuff to the Torch.
Michrome 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2004 Probably Teddy Hart.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted March 18, 2004 Probably Teddy Hart. I think Hart calling Punk a crack-head is a little bit worse than saying he doesn't work out.
Guest Deviant Report post Posted March 18, 2004 Feinstein mentioned in one of his public statements that Punk is involved in the running of ROH. Now if I was running the training school, being pushed and used very well, doing commentary AND involved in the running of the company, I'd put that motherfucker over!!! Besides, if you read Punk's journal you can tell that this news was made up, as none of the things Punk supposedly said sound anything like him.
Michrome 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2004 That "public statement" was actually a fake. It was tracked to Europe.
Guest TDinDC1112 Report post Posted March 18, 2004 You know what, I know Punk is a hard worker and has been totally screwed in TNA, but that doesn't change the fact that he was running his mouth and he was the one that ended up on the ground bloody because he thought his tough buy pro wreslter persona somehow applied to real life, while Teddy Hart who is a trained boxer took him out.
