HarleyQuinn Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 I'm 3-4(Got South Carolina upsetting Memphis wrong) so far on the day
MarvinisaLunatic Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 Im in last place. I've lost 3 Sweet 16 teams, but no Elite 8 or further teams, so at least Im ok for that.
Guest Jimbo Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 so...when are we gonna get some real upsets? This year has almost been predictable so far. ....although I'm doing poorly in the brackets. I'm kicking myself for picking Florida (just to be different)...
razazteca Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 Miss St. and Xavier will lose the evening games.
ant_7000 Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 @ so called experts predicting Murray St over Illinois. That ETSU-Cincy was pretty entertaining especially Tim Smith, he went into Iverson mode on Cincy, but Bobbit's 3pt shot gave Cincy the win.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 I know Florida has no chance of not getting beat by 20, but watching them hang with Kentucky for a few minutes has been highly entertaining.
Guest Jimbo Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 Richmond is leading Wisconsin by 3 witha minute left in the first half. ....and this is after going FG-less for 6 minutes. Providence is also getting manhandled by Pacific, down by 7 with a fwe minutes left in the first half as well. Shall we finally see some upsets? Let's hope not, otherwise my, and other people's brackets will be fuuucked
sfaJack Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 I know there's little chance of it happening, and it would completely wreck my Midwest bracket, but I hope Florida A&M pulls it out over Kentucky. The reality of seeing a 16 finally beat a 1 (and the 'overall' 1 seed, especially) would be really, really great.
sfaJack Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 what the fuck Wisconsin?... Over-rated! Over-rated! The Big 10 was garbage this year. I have no idea why Wisconsin was getting all this hype as a "Final Four darkhouse" and such. They deserved the 6 seed they got.
Guest Jimbo Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 Bleh, Wisconsin is solid, but they depend on Devin Harris too much, and when he's playing poorly as he is tonight, they don't do so well. But you're right, the Big 10 was garbage this past year. But it should be better next year. Michigan, MSU, Minesota, and Indiana all will be much better.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 lol, I know people who had Wisconsin in the final 4. The're gonna be pissed.
Guest Jimbo Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 Aww shit, 48-46, Wisconsin is back in this thing. C'mon Spiders!
Guest Jimbo Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 Aww shitcakes, it's 61-50...it was fun while it lasted, Spiders. 32-8 run? Ouchies Me thinks it's time to change the game to Providence/Pacific, CBS.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 Well, I got the Pacific game right, but then again just about everyone probably had Pacific.
Guest Choken One Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 I've jobbed Six Games. And Amazingly, Fucking mole has only jobbed 2 teams but one was a Sweet 16 team...I've lost NONE of those yet. I'm not happy about this as the defending champion here.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 The good news is Im not in last place anymore.. Bad news is Im 2nd to last..but its early.
Der Kommissar Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 *sigh* I finally have time to watch a game, and I get Xavier vs. Louisville, the least enthusing game of the four for me.
Guest Choken One Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 X Vs 'Ville is a big game for me, for obvious reasons but X isn't off to a great showing.
Bored Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 I guess I should be excited about Pacific since I live in the city where the school is located but I honestly can't name one player on the team. Washington/UAB game is great. All offense, no defense. The way basketball should be. Damn outside shot that both team get to 100 at the current pace.
Guest Choken One Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 Basketball shouldn't have Defense? Go watch street ball then. I like Defense in my Basketball damn it.
Bored Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 If you want slow down basketball with 55-50 scores in college and 70-65 scores in the NBA then be my guest. I should clarify by saying some defense (gambling, pressure defense to force turnovers for easy baskets) and teams that actually know how to run a fast break. I love a great pitcher's duel in baseball, can apperciate a defensive struggle in football, but basketball needs to be wide open. Go watch some 80's NBA on ESPN Classic and you'll see real basketball not this over coached, walk it up the floor every posessesion crap. 53-51 Washington at the half.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 I don't watch during the season, but if college basketball is always like this, I'm starting to understand why high school kids keep getting drafted.
