UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 Hey everyone, I just picked up a really fast 2004 model computer, that's just amazing me, basically because I had been running on like, Windows 95 for the past 8 years. LOL, was about time. Anyway, I love downloading stuff, and found the entire Monday Night War DVD and Extras online at another forum, and downloaded it to CD in a few minutes. However, the one or two sites with "media downloads" seem to always have broken links or servers that crashed. Do you guys have any places you can reference me to, to download matches/shows that are frequently updated if the server crashes...reposted? Updated often? I don't want to DL of Kazaa, quite frankly I don't have time to sit around and search and wait to download the next day. If anyone could help, I'd appreciate it...I'm a bit new to DLing full shows/matches.
Ultra Violence Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 download mIRC... once you learn to use it you can get anything
Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 The last couple months Suprnova.org has been getting the weekly shows of WWE and TNA and ppvs along with newsletters, ufc, etc.
razazteca Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 Newsgroups is for the leetches with bandwith "issues"
Guest Askewniverse Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 I just started using Bit Torrent, but the download speeds are killing me. I turning ZoneAlarm off, but that didn't seem to help. BT does seem pretty cool, however. You just have to figure out how to use it, so that you can get high download speeds.
Karc Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 Bit Torrent > mIRC Here's the one problem with BitTorrent. While is it one of the cleanest and fastest P2P programs ever, ISPs (specifically universities) are catching on and thus cutting the use priority of BT so low that it isn't worth it. mirc and the like are pretty much laissez-faire with them, however. So here's my recommendation. If you have your own line (like DSL or above that gives you unlimited, and more importantly, UNRESTRICTED use), then use BT while you can. Everyone else use irc.
Guest bort Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 BT gets most of there stuff from MIRC channels. The way to go for Media is IRC channels, there are 2 good channels for WWE and TNA and 1 good channel for Indy And Puro and ECW shit, IRC speeds are normally atlot faster than BT and everything comes out to IRC first, there is a huge thread with media links stickyed at the top of general forum
BifEverchad Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 The last couple months Suprnova.org has been getting the weekly shows of WWE and TNA and ppvs along with newsletters, ufc, etc. I downloaded Bit Torrent earlier today, where would I find those TNAs and stuff?
Beast Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 You say you've found the Monday Night Wars DVD and extras online. I downloaded the DVD, but no extras. Where did you find them?
Guest Jimbo Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?showtopic=39202 ^have fun
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 If I'm adding a DVD to my official collection, it's purchased.
Guest M. Harry Smilac Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 If your gonna use Bt get Shareaza. It lets you control your upload speed and you can download off multiple torrents at a time kinda like Kazaa lets you download the same file off multiple users. I've gotten popular movies off 80 torrents at the same time at a meg per second on a basic cable connection.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted March 20, 2004 Author Report Posted March 20, 2004 Oh I've got a shitload of DVDs...but with so many on the horizon, college rent, a new $1300 computer, girlfriend, fraternity dues, WM 20/RAW tickets, and lack of job 'til the summer starts, I felt that maybe I could...you know...download a documentary piece like Monday Night Wars online. So $20 to me! <wastes it on beer and cigarettes> Fuck.
MixxMaster Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 Ahem....Wrestling Torrents As for SuprNova, the Wrestling vids are either in the Others or Sports Related sections of TV Shows, or Movies. have fun, and DON'T shut off your upload, once you're done downloading. Nobody likes a leecher!
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 and DON'T shut off your upload, once you're done downloading. Nobody likes a leecher! Whenever I do that on KaZaA Media Desktop (for different reasons), they just keep comin' back!
