one of the few cookie cutter stadiums I liked. :(

My brother used to work at the Vet back in the day. I remember the time he got me an Eagles practice ball signed by a few of the players.

I wonder whatever happened to that ball?

I'm sure Michael Irvin will be glad to see it go.

Tomorrow (Sunday) Morning at 7am Eastern, Veterans Stadium will be imploded. One of the Philly news organizations will doubtless air it live, and I can't wait for the fun.

How many knees will be destroyed during the implosion.

What's the over/under?

One less ugly as shit stadium to look at.

Its all over. Fun times for all. Greg Luzinski and the Phillie Phanatic did the honors, and the stadium refused to go down. Actually, it took the planned 62 seconds, and its all a pile of rubble. It'll take them about six months to completely clear the rubble.

EDIT: I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Philly spectators dropping the F-bomb in the process.

Somehow I managed to drag my ass out of bed at 6:30 to get down there on time to see it. It was fucking amazing to see come down. Looked like it was clockwork. Tons of people out too. Quite a display.

I'd like to get a stray brick from the aftermath of something like that.
