Well, I cringed at the fact that now HHH has poisoned SD. After seeing that match with Eddie, I thought to myself, "If Eddie is supposed to be a long term champ, those plans are done." I can feel HHH killing SD, with his infinite title reigns....or maybe the new GM of SD will trade him off?

Heres hoping to that....

He makes a good point. He did drop "his" belt by tapping out totally clean on THE BIGGEST show, more or less, of the decade. When he had plenty of opportunity to have HBK tap out in his stead to avoid "losing heat". No one would have blinked an eyelid had he gone over there, but he tapped out in the centre of the ring in a great match, give the guy something for that.

Well he is getting something out of FINALLY doing the right thing, a new WWE world title belt.

That's good cause I don't want a sloppy, botchy and shitty wrestler as WWE Champion.

His offense has to be more than lame kicks, punches, trips and flips.

I'm against the inevitable Batista main event push myself, as well.

So, he gets a free pass for us to not bitch about anything he does for the next year or so like people were doing after his good several months in 2000?

If he shows consistency in unselfish behavior, then people will have more faith in him, but for now, it just looks like it was a temporary thing. I won't mind if he even takes the SD title as long as he doesn't bury everyone, hold it for a year, and make Eddy look like absolute shit.

Batista has improved a lot recently.

Just...you know...saying.

And this threads just goes to show defending HHH is pointless. So he dropped the belt cleanly to Benoit...he MUST be looking to make Eddie his bitch. Right?

I'll believe it when I see it. 'Till then, it's just more anti-HHH feuled speculation.

Seems to me like Triple H has mellowed in his desire to bury the enitre world since the second Shawn Michaels feud began... mostly because I can't remember what happened before then anymore. Ah the Goldberg feud. Was either guy even on the shows enough to be burried around that time?

We certainly have different outlooks. You say "innocent until proven guilty," I say "the bastard's done it how many times, so why should I believe all of a sudden things have changed?"

If HHH's pedigrees Eddie then Vince will have to deal with the sudden thunderous drop of morale on the Smackdown side. It's really that simple.

If he does it, I'm not shocked. Hell, wait till you get that The Undertaker vs HHH for the World Title match.

Anything this company does anymore doesn't shock me. If Trips pins him, he pins him. That's the bed the WWE makes then they will have to lie in it. I barely watch Smackdown anymore so if it gets destroyed then what can you do?

If we get a Triple H / Eddie feud then I think that ultimately helps Eddie far more than it does Triple H. Getting a few wins over Trips - even if it's on house shows - further establishes Eddie as THE top guy.

I don't think that belt is going anywhere anytime soon nor is Eddie's push. And so what if Triple H EVENTUALLY takes the belt? Eddie can always win it back. There's a PPV in Los Angeles this summer and there's WrestleMania XXI next year ... you think Eddie won't be main eventing with the belt or challenging for the belt at those shows?

I agree. Some people are too quick to jump on HHH's back. No matter what HHH does, several people always seems to make a big deal out of it. Shortly before WM, some people were bitching that HHH would retain the title, then lose it to Benoit at Backlash. That didn't happen. In fact, the exact opposite of what several people expected happened. HHH tapped out clean. When's the last time that a World title changed hands on a submission, at a WrestleMania no less? When Benoit won the title, some people were bitching that HHH would win the title back at Backlash. That doesn't look like it's going to happen for now. When the Eddie-HHH match was announced on Raw, people were bitching that HHH was going to bury Eddie and win the WWE title that night. That didn't happen.

I can somewhat understand why most people don't like HHH. However, I think it's stupid to bitch about stuff that he hasn't even done yet. It seems that no matter which roster HHH ended up on, people would have been bitching. If HHH stayed on Raw, some people would have said things like "fuck, fuck, fuckity, fuck, he's going to hold down (insert name here)!"

I think an Eddie/HHH feud from now until Summerslam would be great if booked correctly...I just don't know that I have the confidence for them to do that...and I _really_ don't want SD turning into the Hunter/Steph show again.

HHH made his own rep and you don't get it changed by doing the right thing once. Wow, he did the right thing for business once in like the last 2 years. Well pop open the champagne.

If anyone has earned his hate, it's HHH.

Fool me seven times, HHH, shame on you.

Fool me eight or more times, shame on me.

Hey, I was one of the few optimistic souls when it came to the three-way. But Trips has a proven track record. And he just let Benoiut go over squeeky clean. That's alot for him. Though I am hoping that Guerrero wins and HHH can go film some movie in the meantime.

Eddie/HHH...if that feud does happen, should be awesome. Of course, others agree, that it will benefit Eddie more than HHH. I just don't want the damn show to revolve around HHH.

HHH going to SD reminds me...for some odd reason, about that Stone Cold/Eddie feud that was going on, before Austin walked out.

Anyone remember when HHH was the Smark God instead of Smark Satan??

Anyone? HHH 2000? Anyone?

I guess it's safe to assume that HHH on Smackdown will be the end of Angle and Big Show's usefulness on that show, right?

An Eddie-HHH feud really could be good but to say that Eddie taking a Pedigree will drop morale in the SD! locker room is so stupid. You're suggesting they have any kind of feud without one of the wrestlers getting his finisher off??? Yes, Hunter will have to come out on top of some confrontations, one of them might be a transitional belt change to get Eddie the big pop winning it back on PPV.

I'm pretty sure he meant, you know, nine out of ten HHH feuds that END in the guy taking a Pedigree.

Right, now this is purely a question, as I honestly can't remember. But what was the last example of WWE taking the belt off someone getting HUGE crowd reactions only a couple of months into their reign without giving it straight back??

Probably Hulk Hogan in his last title run I think.

I refuse to complain about Hogan having the belt taken off him. I'm as sick of HHH dominating people as the next guy, but after WM I am willing to put him on probation for one feud. If I'm wrong, then I won't pretend to be surprised.

Define a few months.

Eddie carried him to a decent match before, so if we can get another month or two transitional fued between them, I'd be cool with it.
