Guest glennsoe Report post Posted March 30, 2004 Shelton Benjamin's win over Triple H on RAW last night shocked everyone backstage. Nobody expected Benjamin to get the pin. The win appears to have boosted morale and also seems to have gotten Triple H some respect for "doing the right thing" and putting someone new over. Mole 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2004 If Triple-H keeps his workrate up and keeps on putting people over, then I will have no beef with him.
Guest Daddy X Report post Posted March 30, 2004 HHH was awesome last night... proving that he really does have a lot left when he's willing to give it. He made Shelton look like a million bucks and did it better than a lot of other guys on the roster probably would have. I loved the match and was very impressed with HHH's performance and ability to get Benjamin over.
BifEverchad 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2004 I was SHOCKED to say the least. I assumed HHH would pull off his usual make someone look decent in a near falls-fest match like he did with TAKA awhile back, but I didnt think Benjamin would get the W. Well, he did. Color me impressed.
Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted March 30, 2004 And next week the whole show will be HHH matches Beating the locker room in squash matches using a Sleeperhold.
Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2004 If HHH could work like that more often and put someone over every now and then I won't mind him so much. And assuming he doesn't stop doing RAWs again and just work ppvs

Guest JMA Report post Posted March 30, 2004 Did anyone else get a Flair/Sting vibe from the Triple H/Benjamin match? Triple H did the Flair flop, a young guy was put over, and Benjamin won with a "Stinger Splash." In any case, putting over a young, talented, and charismatic guy like Shelton Benjamin was the right thing for Triple H to do. I'm not surprised it's improving morale. If Hunter loses at Backlash, we may see the end of HHHate. Of course, that's a big "if." I also found JR's last line very funny: "BUT TONIGHT IT'S ALL ABOUT THE BENJAMIN!" Guest Anglesault Report post Posted March 30, 2004 If Hunter loses at Backlash, we may see the end of HHHate. Of course, that's a big "if." For me, it will end when he puts over at least one guy for each guy he buried.
Guest JMA Report post Posted March 30, 2004 Wait... JMA... are you saying that HHH is trying to be Ric Flair? No, that would be stating the obvious. I believe this was the first time he ever did it in such a blatantly obvious way (besides dressing the same). I'm pretty sure even the casual fans noticed it. Yea, I believe THAT source. Anyone else remember that 5-star classic Randy Orton vs. Triple H World Title Match from Wrestlemania XX? And Benoit vs. A-Train in the opening match? Oh you don't? why? Cause the IWC is full of shit.

Guest Mulatto Heat Report post Posted March 30, 2004 Anyone else remember that 5-star classic Randy Orton vs. Triple H World Title Match from Wrestlemania XX? The most anyone (i.e. Meltzer, etc.) said about that was that it was a possibility. So what. HHH vs. Hurricane at WM XX could have been possible as well. You and I just don't know. And Benoit vs. A-Train in the opening match? OK, now you're just making shit up. No one of any significant importance predicted that.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted March 30, 2004 And Benoit vs. A-Train in the opening match? OK, now you're just making shit up. No one of any significant importance predicted that. OK, so it might have been other mid-carders. Before the RRumble match, no one was saying Benoit vs. Any World Champion.
Guest Mulatto Heat Report post Posted March 30, 2004 No one as in who? Message board mental midgets? Why are you bringing up their idiotic comments and blowing them up to massive proportions to try and prove a point? Yes, I agree that people predicting about the future as if they know what they're talking about are troglodytes. It's not my point though. The only rumors about the future that should be considered with any validity should come from Meltzer. He knows his shit. He knew that Benoit was winning the Rumble and the World Title since early January. It was KELLER, the 'Taker Rulz' moron, who said that Benoit was moved to RAW only so he can give HHH the match he wants and then lose quietly to him. The only gray area at the moment that Meltzer has talked about is the Mania ladder match thing but should it happen at Backlash, then it doesn't exactly discredit him. HHH or HBK in a Raw power pay.
