The South Park and Chappelle's Show Thread

Recommended Posts

Yeah, I didn't see one on the first page, so I figured I'd start it up.

The comment by Stan about holding bad filmmakers responsible and getting money back from BaseketBall was funny.

So let it begin

I have a feeling Comedy Central will be getting flooded by mail over all this.

I think so too.

On a slighlty unrelated note, does the movie theater guy remind anyone else of the guy who was taking care of the Squirts and the Jewbilee meeting?

Looking forward to Silky Johnson and Buck Nasty going back in time...

Showing an episode full of crappy rejected skits is not the best idea ever. The gay KKK is one of the most offensive things I have ever seen. The playa haters time traveling is actually a horrible idea, never cross genres like that. I did like Silky explaining the Jeffersons to the slaves. And I don't remember Beautiful being so gay in the original sketch. I loved the "let me holla atch ya'" guy. Him and Charlie Murphy are my two favorite people on the planet right now.

The Time Traveling Playa Hatas was funny to me. I think Dave should've gone farther with it, like hating on dinosaurs. Well, I'm probably just thinking about the dinosaurs from Ryan North's dinosaur comics at qwantz.com.

And yes, Frost, I thought that Beautiful might have been visiting the gay butcher and such, too.

South Park seemed underwelming this time around. maybe because I was expecting the second coming of Christ (can't believe I said that).

The "Snout" episode was hit or miss. Playa Hatin Through Time was mostly hit, but there were parts that were just not funny at all. Gay America was funny. Holla wasn't. Mandela was just out there. Also, a lot of "inside" humor that probably seemed funny at the time.

Well that's to be expected, as it was a "skits that went wrong" episode.

The last episode was a big let down after the last two kicked so much ass. The Mel Gibson thing was pretty good, and Cartman as Hitler was kind of funny, but not as much as I would have thought. And you'd think JC would have made an apperance considering he's a reoccuring character.

South Park was a lot better than last week. The Mel Gibson just had my laughing my ass off. And when he yelled for his $20 back I lost it.

Chappelle was very good this week. The Player Haters should return more often. The part with Buck Nasty and his great great grandfather was funny as hell.

The South Park episode was very funny but...

Over the past 8 episodes or so, I have started to feel that Cartman's character, specifically his feud vs. Kyle, has become stale and shallow. He is just a little bitch now and thats all.

I thought the Mendela one was awesome. Especially after the kid thought that Mendela had swiped his weed, and the next scene Mendela is blazed and has everyone singing. That had me laughing till my sides hurt.

I'm under the impression that Cartman is gay. There are so many signs that point to him being in complete fucking denial about it that i'm just waiting for it to be revealed (and it better be done during the final episode of the show).

Not that there is anything wrong with that...it's just that there are soooo many signs that point to it.

NAMBLA, sort of anyway.

The tea parties

Being a homophobe (as Mr. Garrison always was)

the Wild, Wild West thing was kinda fruity

The ENTIRE J'Lo episode seems to point to it, though again with some denial

Cartman has never had a love interest...while the other three main characters have (even Kenny during the rainforest episode)

It's just that for some reason I see him coming out on the last episode, even in an ambiguous way... like having Stan or Kyle tell Cartman "Damn it Cartman, you are SO GAY!" and then having Cartman follow with "I know" - then go straight to the credits.

As previously stated, it's the same character. The guy did say the movie made you "want to change your life." I assume he converted after seeing it.

They really should've had Jesus see the movie--and throw up. That would've been classic.

Of course, we all know that Jesus died during a rescue mission in Iraq. ;)

well, there was the time Wendy was hot for him and then at the end when she broke it off, he seemed more then a little disapointed. but, you never know...

my running theory is that the reason Matt and Trey have Cartman go out of his way to hate Kyle and give him shit for being Jewish is all a set-up to tie-up the one loose end in the show's history...the identity of Cartman's mother...

we know that Cartman's "mother", Liane Cartman, is actaully his father, being a hermaphrodite, and she got a woman pregent on the night of the "Drunken Barn Dance"...it was never revealed who...

my guess is that it's Sheila Broflovski. which would make Kyle and Cartman half-brothers...but my theory runs deeper...not only do i think Kyle and Cartman are brothers, but TWINS.

now, here me out...

here's my case...Cartman's mom is a dirty slut...it's been hinted at more then once that she's willing to fuck anybody, so another woman is no big stretch...however, Sheila doesn't strike me as the type who would been in for that...but i've already thought of that, too...she was drunk.

it is established that Cartman was concieved on the night of the "DRUNKEN Barn Dance", and it is established that Liane was with quite a few men that night...among which was Kyle's dad, Gerald Broflovski. here's what i think happened:

both Gerald and Sheila attended the Barn dance together, and evenutally get separated...Gerald gets accosted by Liane, but, as the saying goes, "the spirit was willing, but the flesh was weak" (it's been established that Gerald has a problem with male impotency), and couldn't "rise to the occasion"...and this is when Sheila catches them...however, by now she would be so shit-faced she might not even care, and JOIN them, making it a 3-way, leaving Gerald the odd man out. she might even be so drunk, she wouldn't even notice that Liane had a penis at all... none of the other men she was with that night seemed to notice (remember how they all threw up when it was revealed that Liane had a dick?).

the next few weeks or so, Sheila finds out she's pregant, and naturally assumes it's Gerald's...but Gerald knows different. he couldn't get it up and didn't participate, which leaves only one candidate left.

the Broflovski's confront Liane on this and she admits it. over time, Sheila realizes she's pregent with twins, and, to avoid a scandal and give Liane some comfort, they decide to split up the babies, giving Eric to Liane and the Broflovski's Kyle, and promise never tell anyone, not even the boys.

now it's far-fetched, i know, but goofier shit then this has happened on the this show, so it's possible...plus there a lot of little hints:

-Kyle's younger brother Ike is adopted, which might mean Gerald Broflovski is truly impotent and can't produce children at all.

-Cartman's various 'get-rich-quick' schemes. if my theory is true, that would make Cartman Jewish, and obsession with money is a stereotypical Jewish trait (and it's quite clear that Matt and Trey aren't squeemish about using stereotypes).

-they're the same age, their parent's could've just lied and said they had separate birthdays.

-uh...they're both caucasian (i'm really reaching at this point"

if this is all true, and really, the only ones who can say for sure are Matt and Trey themselves, if indeed they even bothered to think up a solution at all, they may even have hinted at it: in the episode where Cartman's 'father' is revealed, at the end, when Cartman asks who his mother is, the voice-over guy goes "Who is Eric Cartman's mother? is it Mrs. Crabtree?...Shiela Broflovski?...the Mayor?".

of course, i could just be full of shit.
