nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2004 "Party hard 'till we hit the floor, cuz we're the class of '04!" The dumb bitches in student council decided that was going to be our class motto....despite the fact that "04 Rocks More" was popular amongst the metalheads and "04 Smokes More" was popular amongst the stoners, we're stuck with this stupid TRL shit. If it makes you feel better, my class was forced to use "'93 ... Way to be!" as our senior motto. It doesn't even make sense. No wonder I was a drug addict. DerangedHermit 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2004 This is life so go and have a ball. Because the world don't move to the beat of just one drum. What might be right for you may not be right for some. You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and there you have... my yearbook quote. Sit, Ubu, sit.

No wonder I was a drug addict. shit... what about the nationwide "Smoke Free Class of 2000" that was such bullshit. Especially since like at least 50% of my grad class was AT LEAST smoking, and a good number of them did drugs.
Hoff 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2004 I also hated being in the "Smoke Free Class of 2000." I also smoked. Hmm.... Anyway, our school just put in a bunch of random words and "shout-outs" and in-jokes in reference to things that happened in highschool. So mine ended up reading as follows: *clears throat* BW, CH, FB. TR. WAFFL, SuperAstros, renegade bowling, Old Spaghetti Factory, my bus, Splack Pack, Plymouth Ghetto, old people, Omega, Sable Power, Gautham songs, omelets, goats, pokemaster, Chicago RAW, Y2J, Quesadillas, HC 99, PPV's. As you can see, I was a big wrestling nerd even then. But there's a certain beauty to the sheer randomness of it, not to mention the fact that most people will have no idea what it all means, but my friends could pick the yearbook up 10 years from now and get it all. You may want to actually say something, though, in which case this is probably no help.

the max 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2004 We didn't have quotes, just hobbies. Sadly, my "Kitten Juggling 1, 2, 3, 4" and "Asst. to the VP of Coolness 1, 2, 3" didn't make the cut.

I never understood why somebody would want to mark themselves as such an obvious fanboy... I think I just had shoutouts a few folks. I hated high school and most of my friends were in college, so I didn't care about that stuff.

Guest Brian Report post Posted April 7, 2004 "O, yes, I say it plain, America never was America to me, And yet I swear this oath-- America will be!" -Langston Hughes I wish I could have used this gem: "We are now faced with the fact that tomorrow is today. We are confronted with the fierce urgency of now. In this unfolding conundrum of life and history there is such a thing as being too late. Procrastination is still the thief of time. Life often leaves us standing bare, naked and dejected with a lost opportunity. The "tide in the affairs of men" does not remain at the flood; it ebbs. We may cry out deperately for time to pause in her passage, but time is deaf to every plea and rushes on. Over the bleached bones and jumbled residue of numerous civilizations are written the pathetic words: "Too late." There is an invisible book of life that faithfully records our vigilance or our neglect. "The moving finger writes, and having writ moves on..." We still have a choice today; nonviolent coexistence or violent co-annihilation. " From the greatest speech King ever made.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted April 7, 2004 2000 was supposed to be smoke free? Haha. There were also 420 kids in my class, which is a pretty good summation of the general cheesy stoner ambiance of that school.
Mole 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2004 "Though I may be different than you, the Lord each gave us something special to do." - Amber Bigley Which is ironic because I don't believe in any of that crap anymore.
B. Brian Brunzell 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2004 Most of the guys/girls in my graduating class were into classic rock and The Rolling Stones, since Bridges to Babylon was realeased at the beginning of my senior year. It was all Stones, all year long, and the majority of the quotes in the yearbook were "You can't always get what you want. But if you try sometimes, you just might find, you get what you need." Mine was taken from "Dazed and Confused." I used Wooderson's classic line that I still use to this day, which is "You just gotta keep on livin'. L-I-V-I-N."
