His somewhat meaningless heel turn and squash by Rhyno seems VERY familiar. Could it be the D'Lo Brown situation all over again? I don't see WWE really pushing Lance and it's not like he's home-grown talent. He seemed to be getting over with Val but they were soon broken up for no apparent reason. Is Lance being buried before being cut?

But WWE has treated him like something they scraped off the bottom of their shoes for over a year, so him jobbing in seconds means nothing anymore I guess.

Reports are that The company was unhappy with Storm's performance over the last few months, and thought giving him the gimmick of Val Venis' sidekick would boost interest. When that failed, WWE management informed Storm of his release and had him lose to Rhyno in seconds on the recent RAW is WAR. Credit: PWInsider

King Cucaracha Posted April 1, 2004 Report Posted April 1, 2004 I'm not surprised Storm was only pushed sporadically...he wasn't home grown, he's not the right sort of height and weight for Vince's liking... ...and, the most crucially of all, he wasn't the least vocal of people, and he has/had a column on the internet. That's probably the secret reason he got released. Then again, that's just a thought.

They weren't by no means GREAT, but I did enjoy the SummerSlam 2002 tag match with him & Christian Vs. BookDust, also him & Venis against Dupree and Conway on December 1st last year. How I loved it when Storm, Test, Christian (and later Regal) were The Un-Americans. Did you see the heat that Storm got then, before the stable was squashed by a blind patriot? DID YOU? He could've been used. He could've been great. If he is in fact going to be used in ECW's return (presuming that it is happening), then I'm going to seem like an idiot, but the fact that WWE have released Storm without even giving him a real chance just really gets to me.
