Guest Choken One Report post Posted April 2, 2004 I just saw that ROH is coming to Dayton Ohio on the 12th of June...any one know anything about it and if it's worth the (short) trip?
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted April 2, 2004 They haven't announced any matches for it yet. But tickets are pretty cheap. I'm hoping to be there for it.
Guest OSIcon Report post Posted April 2, 2004 Early list of wrestlers scheduled to appear (a lot more will be added in terms of the "big" names): Former ROH Tag Team Champions Trent Acid & Johnny Kashmere, The Backseat Boyz, will make their Ohio debuts!!! Plus: ROH Pure Wrestling Champion AJ Styles, Chad Collyer, Matt Stryker, BJ Whitmer, Jimmy Rave, CM Punk, Colt Cabana, Alex Shelley, Jimmy Jacobs, Austin Aries with much more to be announced soon!!! Their last two Ohio shows (8/9/03 in Dayton and 1/10/04 in Wilmington) were both really good from top to bottom.

Michrome 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2004 Well, Choken, their 1/10 show in Ohio probably ranks in the top 5 ROH shows ever. Hell, maybe even top 3. I would go on down, it should be fun.
Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted April 6, 2004 Samoa Joe and AJ Styles are also announced. I should be there.

Guest The Notorious CRD Report post Posted May 9, 2004 It really sucks that both WWE and ROH are going to be within driving distance of me and I'm not going to be able to go because I'm having surgery on 6/2. Them's the breaks I guess.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted May 9, 2004 well...I don't know the surgery...but there is 10 days between that...What surgery will require that much recovery time?
JustJoe2k5 0 Report post Posted May 9, 2004 There is also a Six-Man Mayhem match signed for the show, although the participants haven't been announced, these matches always deliver some insane spots. And a Four-Corner Elimination Stipulation match, where the first elimination is under Tap-Out rules, the second fall is under Scramble match rules, and the final elimination will be Anything Goes. The teams are B.J. Whitmer and Dan Maff, Briscoe Brothers, C.M. Punk and Colt Cabana, and a mystery team with the Tag Team titles on the line. That match could easily steal the show, and possibly be a MOTYC if everyone is on and depending on who the fourth team is. The final match in the Alex Shelley vs. Matt Stryker series that will be starting at RoH's next show will also be on 6/12. Add Daizee Haze, Danny Daniels, Delirious, Matt Sydal, Nigel McGuinness, and Special K to the list of people signed for the show. The Backseat Boyz have been removed from the show. I could *probably* go but I'm going to have stitches and stuff for a while so I'm just playing it safe. Plus I'll most likely be on bed rest for at least a couple weeks. I still can't decide if that's enough to use the gas to drive to Dayton and back home just to reload the next day to drive to Columbus (unless I crash at some fleabag hotel for the night...which would be the same price as filling the gas tank neways)... Michrome 0 Report post Posted May 9, 2004 For what it's worth, there are some changes for the better (IMO). 1) CM Punk is getting a world title shot against the winner of Joe/Cide. If it's Joe, you may be seeing the big world title change. If it's Cide...well, you'll be getting a kickass match. 2) Steele will replace Punk in that tag. I think Steele is better suited for this kind of thing anyway. 3) The Stryker-Shelley series will continue. 4) Ray Gordy and Superstar Steve of NOAH are appearing for the first time. (Unnanounced): Spanky's tour ends 6/8, and he will likely be on this show. I think they're just waiting to do something with him at their Boston show to set up his match here. Guest Choken One Report post Posted May 9, 2004 Great...Now you said the trigger word... SPANKY. I have to purchase now. I wonder if the fact Raw is in town that weekend...if we'll be seeing any WWE workers there (not as part of the show but to chill or whatnot) and if WWE officials will be scouting. Is there nething I should know about? Like anything involving ROH...like rules of conduct/code or whatever...like a DONT DO THIS type of deal...Ive never been to a minor leauge company...only the big "three". So I'm not sure how Indy shows work.
Michrome 0 Report post Posted May 9, 2004 Just have fun. Don't bring signs, it's not an arena, nobody can see if you do. From my experience...just don't be the asshole that tries to be really funny and tries to make himself the show. I hate people that do that. If you go, cheer the faces, boo the heels, and enjoy the great wrestling, you'll have an awesome time. Nothing like guys busting their asses for 500 people. Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted May 9, 2004 I wouldn't go JUST to see Spanky, becuase he may not be there... But it looks like I may not be there either. ::sigh:: oh well. I'll just get the tape.

Slingshot Suplex 0 Report post Posted May 10, 2004 I'm planning on going while on my way to Michigan for vacation. It's a bit out of the way but not that bad. Then I'm gonna hit Highland for IWA-MS the weekend after that on the way back to Missouri. Unless Youth N Asia goes to IWA with me. Then we have to drive back to Michigan and then I'll just extend my vacation a couple days.
