Highland Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 I'm curious to know if this poor soul in dire need of therapy would have gotten the same sentence if she was a he... Of course not, don't be silly.
Secret Agent Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 So, if Michael Myers lived in Texas... and they caught him... he'd get off scotch-free than?
Astro101 Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 I'm tired of people down here committing crimes like these. Can't we go back to Enron, pollution, and fatness?
nl5xsk1 Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 My only question is when she crossed the line back to 'sane'. Her lawyer argued that she showed no emotion when killing her kids (which proved that was crazy, I guess). But it seems like she shows emotions just fine now: Laney broke into tears as the verdict was read. Her husband, Keith Laney, sat emotionless So, I guess the excuse is that she was crazy, but managed to regain her sanity while on trial for killing her kids. Phew, good thing that case of the crazies managed to go away. And why exactly would God be looking to divinely choose a mother to off her kids on Mother's Day?
Guest MikeSC Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 And why exactly would God be looking to divinely choose a mother to off her kids on Mother's Day? They gave her a crappy blender as a Mother's Day gift? -=Mike

Damn devil children.
LaParkaMarka Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 PLIF is all kinds of awesome. Check it out at www.plif.com.
lomasmoney Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 If I ever decide to commit a capital crime in Texas, I'll just use God as my defense, it seems to work every time. and you will get off too because of all the fucking Bible-Thumping rednecks down there. You're a moron. Cite me more cases where we (meaning Texans) have been known to be particularly soft on folks. Have you ever been here? Do you know ANYTHING about juries in Texas? We don't lead the nations in executions by a mile and a half for nothing, you know. Shit, we got pissed off when the U.S. SC declared the execution of retards to be unconstitutional! We blew this one, I'll give you that, but I promise you it had nothing to do with all of us being "Bible-thumping rednecks." No actually you are a moron, I was refering to the fact that she said that God told her to do it and since many Texans are very religious people who believe in the Bible very heavily, I was simply making an amusing comment that was trying to say that she like she is in a "God-Fearing" state like Texas. The bitch is crazy, God didn't say shit to her, and she should never see the light of day even if she is very very mentally unstable, which I've learned through my education, is very possible.
Dr. Tom Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 "Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones." -- Psalms 137:9 Well, it IS in the Bible. It doesn't change the fact that this woman should be executed for what she did. Of course, the whole thing could have been stopped had her husband done what he should have done and shot her in the face for murdering his children.
Perfxion Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 The Husband thought the jury would take care of this, since they didn't shooting her in the face point blank with a 12 gauge sawed off shotgun is in order.
Guest MikeSC Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 The Husband thought the jury would take care of this, since they didn't shooting her in the face point blank with a 12 gauge sawed off shotgun is in order. That is actually a good point. We're always told "Vigilante justice is bad. Let the system work." Well, this man did it. His wife killed his kids and he didn't do anything to her. And she is getting nothing here. Why SHOULDN'T he have unloaded a few rounds into her, if THIS was going to be the final result? -=Mike
Guest Anglesault Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 And it's not even like the OJ case, we're he can get the wrong verdict, but still milk her dry in wrongful death.
chaosrage Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 "Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones." -- Psalms 137:9 Well, it IS in the Bible. It doesn't change the fact that this woman should be executed for what she did. And God told Abraham to kill his son. So who's to say he didn't tell her the same thing? (if you believe in the bible)
