Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2004 Hey, Leafs/Sens is on ESPN2!! I actually get to watch my team play!! And this game has had almost nothing being called. It's absolutely insane. And I'm sorry, I want Calgary vs. Toronto now. So... GO LEAFS GO~!!!
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2004 HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! 1-0 Leafs by a Tie Domi goal that was actually scored by the Smolinski! This is a great game for all the wrong reasons. Worst goal to be scored. Low shot totals. Practically no calls... I will so remember this game.

No calls, in the playoffs? Colour me shocked... Not a pretty goal, but I'll take it. Oh, and is the crowd chanting "Alfie?"

Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2004 Oh, and is the crowd chanting "Alfie?" Yes they were. 2-0 with 4:03 in the third thanks to a goal by Joey Newy.
starvenger 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2004 the ice seems to be really shitty in Toronto It happens when you've got events all the time at the arena. Hopefully, with the Raps done for the year (again), the ice will get better. Niewendyk's goal makes me feel better about Domi scoring...
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2004 Domi and Belfour should've gotten stars. I'm sorry but they should've. I mean Chara gets on the ballot? FOR WHAT?
Red Baron 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2004 Eh...Toronto isn't getting past the second round (if the get to the second round).
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2004 (edited) NA NA NA NA~!! NA NA NA NA~!! HEY HEY HEY HEY~!! GOOD BYE ISLANDERS~!!! Martin St. Louis scores the OT winner and the end to the series! 3-2~!!! Edited April 17, 2004 by Lightning Flik
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2004 Domi and Belfour should've gotten stars. Why? Neither of them did hardly anything. I am flabbergasted by the Sens' lack of drive in this game. The had a chance to put their foot on the Leafs' throats, and didn't do it. If this is how they play in Game 6, it's over for them.
Red Baron 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2004 FBI Involved with Blues Player Wow... Now thats something different. And the only hockey highlight on ESPN tomorrow
LaParkaMarka 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2004 Man, if someone told me at the beginning of the season that the Lightning and Sharks would be the first teams to advance into the second round, I would have laughed and/or dismissed the person as some kind of drunk. Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2004 Why? Neither of them did hardly anything. Because Domi scored the winning goal and Belfour got the shutout. And don't give me any crap about "oh, they didn't do anything". They did. And if it was the Sens who won like that, and it was like Bondra and Lalime who did the same, I know their names would 2 of the 3 stars.
treble 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2004 Maybe you could have given Belfour a star, but you can't give one to Domi because he got a lucky bounce off of Smolinski's skate.

Domi got credit for an own goal (he did NOT score the goal), and Belfour made 21 of the easiest saves you'll ever see. Hell, the three best Sens scoring chances fell of their sticks before they could get the shot off. Lalime had just as good a game as Belfour...he just happened to be the one victimized by the fluky goal. Personally, I wouldn't have given anyone a game star. The game was that shitty. Drury37 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2004 A big thanks goes to Martin St. Louis for making sure that this night did not completely suck because even though the Yankees lost to the Red Sox Martin St. Louis and the Tampa Bay Lightning made things a little bit better because they eliminated the Islanders!!! Thanks.

Guest Wildbomb 4:20 Report post Posted April 17, 2004 Section 308, row 10...directly behind the cage. Usually it's the back entrance, elevator to level 9, and then post-game to level 3. Anyways--Bruins played like shit, Montrael continued to dive like no tomorrow, and the refs continued their schizophrenic behavior. Let's hope that a better game can be had tonight. Thanks. Midget power rules all, just remember that. In all seriousness I'm hoping Boston gags or Toronto wins cause I'll openly admit that we cannot beat the Ottawa Senators. Our Kamikaze offensive system doesn't work against them even when we're competitive. (see wild 5-4 OT loss in March)

LaParkaMarka 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2004 It's Elimination Saturday as the Stars, Predators, and Devils are all gone. Doesn't bode well for the Canucks and Habs tonight. I'll cheer heartily for both.

The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2004 The Devils are gone, the Devils are gone, the Devils are gone! The Stanley Cup Final will be WATCHABLE! There will be GOALS SCORED! The team that wins the Cup will have a CITY in which to hold its victory parade! (deep breath) ANYWAY...so we're probably looking at a Red Wings-Flames series and Avs-Sharks. I like Colorado and Calgary from the West. In the East, it's too hard to figure out for me.

CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2004 Wow. Canadiens/Bruins goes to a Game 7. I'm dead in my hockey pool if the Habs complete the comeback...but at least I'll still be able to watch live playoff hockey.
LaParkaMarka 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2004 Was it me or was the last empty net goal unnecessary? There was like 3 seconds left and a two goal lead, just dump it in the corner. Raycroft is playing pretty well...that save on Zednik was great. I have no idea what is going on with the Bruins D...they should be way better than this.
