Anything important happen on Raw?

So, I didn't watch Raw (Uh, Baseball with a toe hold~!), but I did catch Chris Benoit walking to the ring to absolutely no reaction (so I changed it. Pissed me off) and then saw him get beat down a few minutes later.

 

Can someone just give me a little bullet list rundown of anything of importance that happened on Raw (if at all). What new matches, besides Benoit/HBK, was scheduled? Any? Thanks.

 

(I'll read full reports later, I just want a quick rundown.)

Shelton defeated HHH again, this time by countout. Afterwards, Evolution (who were all over ringside as trainer, time keeper and ring announcer) beat the hell out of Shelton and left him a bloody mess before Michaels, Crippler and Foley finally decided to run down.

 

Bischoff announced Michaels-Crippler-Foley-Shelton will take on Evolution. After the announcement, Evolution laid a beatdown on the three guys and then posed after the match.

 

In other news:

-William Regal returned, only to be stuck as a manger of wrestlecrap EUGENE who made me want to cry.

 

-Gail Kim returned but she was eliminated during a commercial, but we did get to see a replay of her fall out of the ring. She looked like she fell like one of those women in Most Extreme Elimination challenge.

 

 

I can't really think of anything else.

Oh, Jericho vs Christian was changed to Jericho vs Christian and Trish.

Lita vs Victoria was added to the PPV as well.

EUGENE would be OVW's Nick Dinsmore, moving down from being Doink to becoming....I don't know what the hell he became.

 

Odds are he became Gerwitz's personal play thing and will be fired before the end of the month.

 

At least Regal is around to try and make him tolerable, but it didn't work.

 

So yes, Eugene would be new.

Benoit has been champion for 3 weeks now but the focus is still on HHH. that's the most important thing regarding Raw.

No, Crippler didn't get much of a reaction the second time he came out but no one really gets much of one the second time they come out.

 

They did give him a nice sized pop when he came out.

 

And I wouldn't put any stock into a crowd's reaction when they chant "USA" during a match with a French character and a Canadian wrestler.

Oh, I forgot the beatdown at the end (cringeS). I really hate skimming posts and not reading every word. I thought he meant the match in the firs thalf hour, because the crowd was pretty hot (and gave the guy from ATLANTA, GA) a USA chant. YAAAAY!

 

 

But Benoit's third time to the ring wouldn't pop anyone I guess, since they cheered alot when he, HBK, Foley made the save for Benjamin.

if anything we did get a nice build up to what should be a SPANKTASTIC match next week...

 

Smart Money says they fuck it up by Putting Botchistia in there for the duration.

 

I'm feeling a 20-30 minute match along the lines of the classic 10 Man Tag in Dallas back in 2000. The crowd heat in Chi-Town should make this even BETTER.

 

Likely Benoit gets the crossface tap out on Batistia with Orton and Foley brawling on the outside...Shawn and Trips fighting...Benjamin taking out Flair.

I thought people never took wrestling seriously because it was a fake sport made up of shaved guys in tights rolling around, hitting each other with chairs, etc.

 

A gimmick like Eugene won't generate enough attention (from actual mainstream news sources) to give wrestling a bad name. We heard that same complaint after things like the Katie Vick angle, and I really don't remember seeing any real news stations saying "now this gives pro rasslin' a bad name".

Funny thing, mine does the exact same thing! I thought my tv was malfunctioning during the WM XX build because I could have sworn I heard people cheering him and I saw peoplestanding up when he entered or won!
