" Sucks there wasn't a funny write up for each match again... but still that looks like a hell of a card. B-Boy Vs. Daniels and AD Vs. Joe should be awesome. JustJoe2k5 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2004 Very good looking card. Disco Machine vs. Scorpio Sky, B-Boy vs. Christopher Daniels, Hardkore Kidd vs. The Messiah, and Bryan Danielson vs. Samoa Joe should all be great. I'm especially looking forward to B-Boy vs. Daniels. When did X-Foundation lose the Tag Team titles, I don't remember ever seeing a match between them and Chris Bosh and Quicksilver signed for a PWG show. PsychoDriver 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2004 When did X-Foundation lose the Tag Team titles, I don't remember ever seeing a match between them and Chris Bosh and Quicksilver signed for a PWG show. It was at the last show, they lost the belts to Bosh/Silver after Lost superkicked Joey Ryan by mistake.
Sandman9000 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2004 The idea of Samoa Joe in a legit musical would be entertaining to the ninth degree. Either way, him vs. AmDrag should be fun.
thuganomics 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2004 I love PWG's press releases. Danielson v. Joe should rule.

Guest Jay Z. Hollywood Report post Posted April 8, 2004 (edited) Mixed feelings on this one. The 2 big singles matches should be good, but man is Hardcore Kid vs. Messiah going to everloving suck. Um, Messiah is an excellent worker when he wants to be, don't be hatin'. His SoCal stuff is SO MUCH BETTER than him slumming it in CZW like he's been lately. Check out Messiah vs. B-Boy, Proctor Championship Wrestling, it RIPS SHITE UP. Messiah vs. Adam Pearce from MPW, great old school back-and-forth brawl. Messiah vs. Nick Mondo from EPIC, best deathmatch ever in the US. Messiah/Daniels vs. Punk/Hero was arguably the best match of Night 1 of the Tango and Cash. And I keep hearing stories of excellent Messiah/Daniels and Messiah/Kazarian matches in SoCal, but I've never been able to find out exactly where/when they are. Edited April 8, 2004 by Jay Z. JustJoe2k5 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2004 I believe one of the Christopher Daniels vs. The Messiah matches is on either Smart Mark Video's or Alternative Wrestling Shop's shoot interview with The Messiah. And I agree that his deathmatch against Nick Mondo was one of the most entertaining matches I've ever seen anywhere. Definitely blows any of the stuff I've seen from him in CZW away. And if someone broke into my house and chopped off one of my thumbs, I think it would have an effect on my in-ring ability as well as my mentality.

And if someone broke into my house and chopped off one of my thumbs, I think it would have an effect on my in-ring ability as well as my mentality. It's gotta be the AWS comp then, since I have the SMV one and it's not on there (the Pearce and Mondo matches are though) and even though he hasn't been great lately in CZW, his body of work there ain't too shabby either, if you're into the crazy brawl variety. Messiah vs. Flash (Out with the Old, in with the New) - One of the better "old format" Iron Man title matches vs. Justice Pain, Answering the Challenge, is one of the best title matches in CZW history, behind only Pain/Jay Briscoe and Pain/Acid. Their COD4 match is solid too, but drags at points. Messiah/B-Boy vs. H8 Club from Divide and Conquer is an excellent tag brawl, and the 3way cage match at Truth or Consequences is tons of fun (although on retrospect I waay overrated it in my review, it's more like ***1/4) He was also of course involved in COD5, one of the craziest matches in indy history. And he had a really good deathmatch against Corporal Robinsons at Night 2 of the 2003 IWA KODM. Honestly, not many people would look great wrestling a guy he doesn't click at all with (Nick Gage), Nate Hatred, and Zandig for most of the past year. Give Messiah a good opponent and he'll deliver every time. Edited April 8, 2004 by Jay Z. Hollywood
Guest DeputyHawk Report post Posted April 8, 2004 it's nth degree, not ninth degree. b-boy vs. daniels makes me very happy indeed.
JustJoe2k5 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2004 Personally, I found the Nate Hatred vs. The Messiah match from Then And Now to be pretty entertaining. I've also heard good things about the Cage match from Truth or Consequences, but I've never taken the time to watch it in full.
PsychoDriver 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2004 And I keep hearing stories of excellent Messiah/Daniels and Messiah/Kazarian matches in SoCal, but I've never been able to find out exactly where/when they are. Messiah Vs. Daniels was from PCW in Nov 2002 and Messiah Vs. Kazarian - Ladder match was from PCW/AWS April 2003. Both are available on The AWS Messiah Shoot. Both were very good and well worth checking out. Messiah also had a very very good match with Super Dragon in PCW that sadly will probably never be released due to poor lighting (The "arena" (parking lot) was lit by car headlights!) He also had good matches with Kaos and Hardkore Kidd in PCW. Really Messiah's PCW work is very underated. IMO His 2003 PCW Title was far better then his 2003 CZW title run. And don't forget Messiah's excellent 2000 XPW match with D that was considered XPW's best match ever for a time. Thought it's probably not the best way to showcase his talents (I'd book him against Bobby Quance myself) I'm sure his PWG rematch with Hardkore Kidd will turn out just fine... Guest Jay Z. Hollywood Report post Posted April 8, 2004 (edited) Did PCW go out of business? They only put out two shows on SMV and then stopped. Plus, Aaron Proctor agreed to a deal to comp me and then disappeared. Just curious- I only have "Impact" (where I saw the GREAT Messiah/B-Boy match) Edited April 8, 2004 by Jay Z. PsychoDriver 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2004 Did PCW go out of business? They only put out two shows on SMV and then stopped. Plus, Aaron Proctor agreed to a deal to comp me and then disappeared. Just curious- I only have "Impact" (where I saw the GREAT Messiah/B-Boy match) No, they just took a little break after a bad show in November. They recently returned on March 26th 2004 and also stripped Messiah of the PCW title (which was then won by Joey Ryan) And I hope you weren't counting on that Proctor deal, because he retired/left/was fired or whatever from PCW and then went crazy on the SoCalUncensored boards and started bashing wrestling fans in general. I have no idea what he is doing now....
PsychoDriver 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2004 Since the show is this weekend I figured I'd waste some time by doing yet another installment of my PWG: Thoughts and Predictions!!! On to the card: Phoenix Star & Zokre vs. Charles Mercury & Top Gun Talwar Thoughts: This should be the standard fun PWG opener.. that's all I can really say about this one. Prediction: Mercury/Top Gun Disco Machine vs. Scorpio Sky Thoughts: Now I'm not sure I understand this booking as I think Scorpio should be in a higher profile match coming off his Main Event appearances at the last two shows. But still I'm sure this will be a very good match against his Teacher Disco Machine. Just as their last match was in RevPro (which BTW is available to Download at ClickWrestle.com: http://www.clickwrestle.com/modules.php?na...._Disco_Machine ) Prediction: Scorpio Sky Apollo Kahn vs. Ricky Reyes Thoughts: I've never been a huge fan of Apollo but I know Ricky Reyes is more than capable enough to make sure this is a solid bout. Hopefully Apollo will surprise me here and show what he can do. Prediction: Ricky Reyes X-Foundation (Funky Billy Kim, Scott Lost, & Joey Ryan) vs. The Thomaselli Brothers (Brandon, Sal, & Vito Thomaselli) Thoughts: I'd say this is my pick for the sleeper match of the show. As the Thomaselli's have really impressed me lately in PWG and I'm interested to see how they perform with Vito's brother Brandon thrown into the mix. Plus of course the X-Foundation are always top notch as a unit. Another reason I'm looking forward to this match is to see if they build apon the angle from the last show that had Lost superkick Ryan by mistake and cost them the tag titles. I have a feeling this match could be the end of the X-Foundation.... Prediction: Thomaselli Brothers after the X-Foundation break up B-Boy vs. "Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels Thoughts: Despite appearing in alot of the same promotions over the years I don't think they have ever met One on One before (I could be mistaken though). If everything clicks I truly think this has all the makings of a classic. Prediction: Very tough one but I'll say Chris Daniels Hardkore Kidd vs. Messiah Thoughts: This is a rematch from the PCW June 2003 show and while that one wasn't too highly regarded... it certaintly wasn't bad either. I'm sure both have improved since that time and will produce a good match here and just maybe Messiah can silence a few of his critics. Prediction: Messiah PWG Tag Team Championship Match Chris Bosh & Quicksilver © vs. S.B.S. (Excalibur & Super Dragon) Thoughts: I have really high hopes for this match as SD and Excalibur have always delivered as a tag team. Every match where they have teamed has been mind blowing and I think Bosh/Quicksilver will be perfect opposition for them. I just feel bad for Quicksilver... that guy always takes a hell of a beating when he's in there against SD. Maybe we could see the very rare Psycho Driver #3 in his match as Quicksilver has been the only one to ever take the move thus far. Very Bold Prediction: Bosh/Quicksilver retain with help from an outside source. American Dragon vs. Samoa Joe Thoughts: What can be said about this? It's Samoa Joe Vs. American Freaking Dragon. I've really enjoyed all 3 of their past meetings (The brutally stiff time limit draw classic in EPIC most of all) and I'm sure this one will no different and possibly alot better as both men have improved greatly since their last One on one match up. This will also be the rubber match in the series as they split their ROH matches and their EPIC match ended in a draw. This could be a possible MOTYC and will probably be worth the price of admission by itself.... Prediction: American Dragon So there you go another outstanding PWG card. Also keep in mind the flyer for this show promised "a surprise or 2 PWG style" Right now the clear prediction as to the surprise would be Teddy Hart. Who will be in town anyway for the Inoki Dojo show the day before. But who knows what the surprises could be! The show could indeed actually be a musical! Jon Ian could sing the ring introductions! Elvis could return from the dead to challenge to Disco Machine to a dance off for all we know. Only way to find out is to attend the show! (or well by reading the results saturday night) Anyway, you know the drill, if in the area do yourself a favor and by all means attend this show if not in the area/state/country/galaxy buy one of the many excellent PWG DVDs at http://www.prowrestlingguerrilla.com/merch/ although currently only The Debut show and Super Dragon Vol. 3 seem to be available... umm still go there and buy those!!! Now look at this awesome Dragon Vs. Joe banner:

PsychoDriver 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2004 Maybe we could see the very rare Psycho Driver #3 in his match as Quicksilver has been the only one to ever take the move thus far. What's this look like? It's a Piledriver out of Gorry Special/Widow's Peak ETC Position. It looks sick as hell. He's only hit it twice to my knowledge (both times on Quicksilver) Once in an APW tag match (AXP Vs. SD/Bosh) and once at RevPro's Pride of the Mask 3 Six Man. I keep waiting for him to do it again and so he far he hasn't.. maybe he'll do it at this show as he's against Quicksilver again.

Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2004 Here's some results from the CZWFans.com board with a little more detail. Looks like Teddy Hart's found his way to another indy fed. Before things got started Topgun's crew came out and Sky said he respected Super Dragon. The rest of the group seem beyond belief that Sky would say such a thing, then Topgun got on the mic and said he was gonna show Sky some respect by making him face Kane!!!!!! Well, Kane no showed so Topgun said he better win tongiht against Disco. Topgun Talwer and Charles Mercury def. Human Tornado and Supa Badd (Fun match) Ricky Reyes def. Apollo Kahn (Good shit, MOTN Contender IMO) Thomaselli's def. X-Foundation (Problems are brwing b/w X-Foundation) Scorpio Sky def. Disco Machine (After the match Team Topgun came out and beat up the fallen Disco. Sky vlocked them off and helped Disco to his feet. Bosh got pissed and he and Sky went at it.) Daniels def. B-Boy (MOTN Contender, lots of near falls and submissions) After intermission HKK came out an cut a promo on how his grandma used to have a cuss jar for when anytime they cussed they would have to put a quarter in the jar. So HKK brings out a jig and fans put money in there for having a potty mouth (Awesome stuff). All of a sudden Eminem's "When The Music stops" hits and out comes TEDDY HART! Crowd goes crazy and moonsaults into the ring. He cuts a promo on how he loved us and he wants SD in a match! The he said he has 2 guys who can take on HKK and out come Lit and Deranged. Teddy then sits down with his valet and coaches on Lit and Deranged during the match. HKK def. Lit and Deranged (Size diffrence made this match not good) S.B.S. def. Bosh and 'Silver to win the tag straps (good shit) AD and Joe went to a 30 minute time limit draw (MOTN) -During the match AD told Joe "c'mon Joe I thoguht this was a musical in which Joe and AD proceeded to stare each other down while going in a circle snapping their fingers). Very good shit to remember. After the match they were gonna go for 5 more minutes. Reyes came out and tried to move both of them apart in which AD shoved him away and Reyes responded by attacking AD; Joe followed in. After Joe and Reyes left AD got up and got on the mic, saying that he's not done with them and proceeded to say he was a way better dancer than Joe. Don't know why Messiah couldn't make it. T.T.R. (Taste The Radness) was available. Next show is May 22nd.
PsychoDriver 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2004 Show was very very good, among PWG's best ever. AD-Joe was an epic match. Not only the best Samoa Joe Vs. AD match ever but the best match in PWG History easy. Some insanly stiff strikes in this one I mean cringe worthy sickeningly stiff strikes. This match alone would be worth buying the dvd for. B-Boy Vs. Daniels was pretty damn amazing too. As was pretty much everything else.... ok well Hardkore Kidd Vs. LIT/Deranged wasn't that good but Teddy Hart's appearance made that match entertaining as hell. Def. pick this one up when it's released. They also announced PWG's next show would be on May 22nd with the following wrestlers set to appear: "M-Dogg-20, Josh Prohibition, Super Dragon, Bobby Quance, Tony Kozina, Scott Lost, Joey Ryan, Disco Machine, Excalibur, Hardkore Kidd, B-Boy, Ricky Reyes, PUMA, Ballard Brothers, Scorpio Sky, Chris Bosh, Charles Mercury, Top Gun Talwar and more" Plus according to Colt Cabana's site... he'll be back in PWG on July 10 (which should be the 1st anniversary show)
PsychoDriver 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2004 Funny PWG release about Pearce/Kazarian/Slymm in Las Vegas. "PWG Champion reportedly involved in Sin City Brawl By Peter Drippings Las Vegas, NV – Pro Wrestling Guerrilla Champion “Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce took a brief “vacation” in Las Vegas after being suspended by PWG Commissioner Paul T. for his part in a wild brawl during PWG’s March 27, 2004 event in Santa Ana, CA. Pearce had proclaimed that he’d show the wrestling world how a “champion is suppose to spend his free time” and even took a camera crew along to film some of the festivities. Without actually seeing the footage, credible sources at the scene allege that Pearce was seen kibitzing throughout Las Vegas sporting a snakeskin jacket and championship belt on several occasions. These same sources also allege that there is video documentation of Pearce’s exploits, and that some of these exploits may or may not involve at least one stripper, a mime, and possibly an unnamed Las Vegas transient. Rumors arising from members of Las Vegas’ hotel community link Pearce to the annual Cauliflower Alley Club wrestling convention on the night of April 17, which was held at the Plaza Hotel and Casino in downtown Las Vegas. Coincidentally this event took place the same night as the PWG live event in California, which Pearce was suspended from. There are also reports surfacing of a supposed “Championship Training Video” that Pearce was supposed to have been preparing to shoot following the convention at an unnamed Las Vegas Hotel. Sources at the heart of the situation claim that Babi Slymm and former PWG Champion, Frankie Kazarian were spotted near this unnamed hotel in search of Adam Pearce, and may or may not have attempted to make contact with Pearce during the filming of his “Training Video”. A witness who elected to remain anonymous reported seeing an “athletic and sexy” Caucasian, standing approximately 6’2” tall and weighing about 240 pounds “romping down the hallway wildly screaming and wearing only his underwear”. She went on to state that the “athletic and sexy Caucasian” was closely followed by “a big black rapper guy” and “Antonio Banderas”. Representatives from those who supposedly have possession of video footage from Las Vegas have stated that they may or may not make it available for release via PWG DVD in the near future. Pearce was unavailable for comment, but was spotted today at his palatial San Diego summer home berating a group of small children that apparently asked him to help get their stranded kitten out from a tall tree. More news as it happens. " Sounds like funny stuff, hope that makes it on to the DVD. And oh speaking of PWG DVDs... Taste the Radness is now for sale at http://www.prowrestlingguerrilla.com/merch/ so umm buy it or something. It is American Dragon approved afterall...
