Justice Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 The fix is in. "It's too late! The fix is in and the noodles are boiling, boiling I tell's ya!" And both teams are hangin' in there. Neither team has really pulled away for a good period of time...
Justice Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 Whoa. That looked close to a tech for Sheed... Edit: Nm, was a double tech.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 With the game the way it is going into the 4th, Id pretty much be willing to guarantee the Lakers win the game now.
The Czech Republic Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 I wouldn't say the Lakers have won it just yet. I'd say it's close but the Pistons can still win this for sure.
razazteca Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 Fear the last second shot by Kobe or Fisher.
Justice Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 This is way too close for my liking. If the Pistons can pull it here, though, I think they can get it in 5.
The Czech Republic Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 And Luke Walton fouls out with six minutes left. Where's Daddy to go "CLLLLLEARLY that was NOT a FOUUUUL"?
razazteca Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 Pistons need to be careful with the 3 point shots.
TSA09 Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 Pistons know what needs to be done and are executing everything well. They are out-playing the Lakers. I'm loving every minute of this, I'm loving the fact that Payton and Malone have done nothing to contribute.
The Fett Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 The Lakers are completely falling apart. I love it.
TSA09 Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 At times like this, I miss not having Johnson aren't just so we could harass him about this.
razazteca Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 Pistons know what needs to be done and are executing everything well. They are out-playing the Lakers. I'm loving every minute of this, I'm loving the fact that Payton and Malone have done nothing to contribute. "Quicker and more athletic" Doc Rivers explains it perfectly.
TSA09 Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 Ys, yes they are. Shaq is going to score, you know that. The key that the Pistons have figured out is let him score, go after the other guys. They are getting to the basket quicker and are just out-playing the Lakers in every aspect. Even when they lost Game 2, they beat themselves, the Lakers did not beat them.
The Robfather Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 I am still nervous. 10 points isn't that big.
razazteca Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 SHEED is on Fire! What a great shot with seconds on the shot clock, too bad there was a foul in the next play.
Guest OraleHolmes Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 Jerry Krause split up the Bulls, and the league (read: officials) will split up the Lakers. Simple as that.
TSA09 Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 It would please me so much to see Malone not get that ring. And to see Kobe's face when the lose, hell too bad Jack isn't center stage to see the Pistons win.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 Lakers in 3. I can see it right now: Game 1: Lakers 105, Pistons 65 Game 2: Lakers 97, Pistons 59 Game 3: Lakers 110, Pistons 55 Game 4: Pistons forfeit the championship, and can be seen frolicking off the coast of Jamaica fishing with Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith. For ol times sake, figured i'd post that. Then... Pistons in 5 Why the sudden change of heart, sir ? Does anybody realize that the Pistons have just taken a 3-1 lead over the MIGHTY L.A. Lakers ? I FUCKING LOVE THIS GAME.
The Czech Republic Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 Al Michaels's best call: "Do you believe in miracles? YES!" His second best: "The Lakers look like a 4th-place team in the Atlantic division."
razazteca Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 And to think the Lakers lost the game because of Karl Malone's bum knee.
TSA09 Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 This is great! The best said, "The Lakers will be going home after Game 5, question is will they take the Pistons with them"
The Electrifyer Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 Whenever I see Malone's face, I can't help but to smile from ear to ear.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 Funny thing is... The series could've been over had Kobe not hit that shot.
Justice Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 YES! YES! YES! PRAISE SHEED HE SHOWED UP AND PROVED HIS WORTH TONIGHT!! :D :D
Guest Seven Sins Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 Guys, don't celebrate too early. Here's 2 reasons: 1. - NO team has ever swept the middle three games. 2. The lakers are capable of coming back ( The Spurs/Lakers series anyone?) Yes, i do know this thing is basically over, do to the Pistons being better and wanting the title more but don't celebrate till the clock hits 0.0 in the fourth on tuesday. THEN you can pull out the rioting gear, the fine wine and join everyone in the streets for a fucking party.
Bruiser Chong Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 Oh hells yes. It hurts that tonight could've been a sweep, but there's no point in living in the past. The Pistons certainly aren't, as they've looked like the more dominant team almost every minute since Game 2. They want it more right now. Simple as that. Lakers fans are making excuses for this and that but no excuse in the world is going to change the fact that their season is on the line from here on out. The Lakers have shown their true colors by complaining on virtually every call against them. Some were justified, but hell, they weren't so upset when those unfair calls were working in their favor all these years, were they? Great teams don't need to bitch and moan constantly. They overcome the challenges and get the job done, regardless. The Pistons are one game away from proving all the cynics wrong; all the so-called experts wrong; virtually everyone. And it's something truly once in a lifetime, to see David slay the might Goliath in sports, especially basketball. Here's hoping they close it out Tuesday.
