Renee Dupree is one of the most worthless pieces of shit on the roster.

If it weren't for THE DANCE he'd be the most worthless piece of shit.

Somehow, I don't think so.

Somehow, I don't think you know what you're talking about.

The proof is on tape...

See ANY footage of Rene PRIOR to the introduction of THE DANCE~! and he didn't get any reaction other then small brief cheap heat...now...THE DANCE~! and FiFi get the reactions...

It's like Test and Stacy...Test came out by himself...no reaction...With Stacy...reaction

Same here...Rene NEEDS FiFi and The DANCE~!

I love Duprée. He may not be the greatest wrestler, but he can hold his own. He knows enought to stay entertaining in the ring.

The Dance rule, his charisma is excellent and like someone said, it takes a lot of it to make a overused gimmick work. Sure, I think that Fifi is cool, but I'm not sure it really helps him.

But yeah, Duprée is great.

Don't take the belt from Cena yet. He chased it for so long, just to lose it right away? Rene has all the time in the world.

Faces rarely get long reigns. It's just not the WWE Way!

Actually I've always felt that the WWE is/was a promotion dominated by strong faces. The dominant heel champ was something more popular in the NWA/WCW.

WWF/E WAS a promotion dominated by strong faces, but in the last few years it's been very much a heel-dominated wrestling promotion.

Dupree is solid in the ring and should be really good once he gets a few years under his belt. I think it's clear he loves the business and will give it his all. Once he loses the French gimmick, he could be the next "Model."

I mark out for the "YES, I AM A MODEL" button.

I agree. I can see him putting on a shiny, black leather jacket, slicking his hair back, and going the Rick Martel route. After all, he also does have that cockiness.

The funny thing about Dupree was that he was the first wrestler I ever met in person (last year in June at my first RAW house show). Surprisingly, he was nice to us and signed some autographs. Sylvian was just a dick though, another reason why I hate him.

Dupree did get THE DANCE~! from Rick Martel. And he changed his tights since coming over to Smackdown to pink, Martel-esque ones. Maybe WWE can even get Martel back as a manager...

I think what he was trying to say that Dupree isn't a worthless piece of shit.

Which he is.

Youth. Charisma. Moderate ability in the ring. An established gimmick. Crowd heat. The ROBE~!

Take a glance over the roster. Calling Dupree a worthless piece of shit and not mentioning the numerous people far, far less useful and with far less worth is pretty stupid.

What has he done for the company? What memorable matches has he put on? Memorable promo's?

Say it with me now: WORTHLESS PIECE OF SHIT.

Just because your standards are so low that "moderate ability" is acceptable, doesn't mean everybody elses are.

Um, the guy's what? 20 years old?

He's got YEARS to improve.

Like Austin really set the world on fire his first year and a half in the company. Or Shawn Michaels. Or HHH.

Give the guy a chance to work singles, for crying out loud.

Oh man, I would totally dig that.

MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Memorable promo's? Tajiri's had none of them. 'Oh, that's different'.

Memorable matches? How many of them has Funaki had? 'Oh, that's different'.

You don't like him. We get the hints. But I'm pretty sure worthless means the guy has no worth. It's obvious he has some worth. I'm not saying I'm his biggest fan and I tape all his matches and have posters of him on my wall or something. I'm just saying he obviously has worth. Hell, he has more fanbase on this board than most guys on the roster, which must count for something.

I re-iterate...

Like Austin really set the world on fire his first year and a half in the company. Or Shawn Michaels. Or HHH.

And add the Rock to that list. And Bret. Correct me if I'm wrong, but none of them were 20 either.

Did I mention or praise Tajiri or Funaki in my post? No. So why did you feel compelled to bring them into this argument?

Chris- It's called OVW. Let him "improve" there. The odds of him "improving" under the WWE style are slim to none. And slim is about to leave town.

'Cause you're criticising Dupree for not having memorable promos or matches in a year or so, when they for example haven't set the world alight in 3 years and 5 yeas respectively for the same reasons.

Or, in other words, if by your reasoning Dupree is worthless, then a vast number of the roster is too.

To be fair, Tajiri has had many ***1/2+ matches while Funaki hasn't had the chance to. Funaki also had those awesome #1 announcer promos.

Posted

Tajiri/Eddy vs WGTT was some good stuff, infinetly better then anything Dupree will ever do in the WWE.

I haven't seen Funaki on TV since his infamous 5 second appearance at Mania, so I can't really comment on that. But he is a better mic worker then Dupree.

And I wholeheartedly agree. A vast number of the roster is worthless.

Posted

I wasn't critiquing Tajiri's in-ring work. Far from it.

And yes, Funaki hasn't had the chance to work awesome matches.

They were only examples. I could have picked many people to fit LOTC's description of worthless. Many of them, like Funaki, Tajiri and...I don't know, Molly and Rico, are popular. My point is that must be some sort of worth.

But, yeah. I realise the point is Dupree isn't about workrate or great matches, which is why he's 'worthless'...so I'll shut up

Rick Martel!

Do you read threads before you post in them? Because that's been mentioned already...

Anyways, I like Dupree's charisma and his gimmick, but his in-ring skills aren't something to write home about. Not bad, and he has a lot of time to improve, so I'm not too worried. As long as they don't push him too hard, too soon, he'll be fine.

No need to get defensive about it. I was just wondering if were saying it as a new point or just concuring with another poster.

Dupree is painful to watch in the ring. The guy is so fucking bland and uninteresting that he makes Sean Staziak look like Rey Mysterio Jr. crica 1997. What you call Charisma, I call crap. This is the WWE, charisma ain't exactly rare. Give me one reason to like him. The dance? Old. Fifi? Grow up. The robe? You want me to like him for his fucking clothes? Do you know how stupid that sounds? Fuck, there are so many whores around here, no standards at all, you'll cheer anyone; they don't even have to deserve it.
