Wild Summertime Musical Predictions

Recommended Posts

Guest Agent of Oblivion

So what's going to be the song that everyone is going to be blaring this summer whenever one happens to go out in public? Will it be any better or worse than any other year's summertime hit? What do you think is going to be the best tour this year, etc etc..basically, play Criswell and make some predictions.

I think there's going to be a high-profile tragic death sometime in July. Either Gene Simmons or Prince, I haven't decided which one yet.

Wait, I got my lines crossed. It's going to be Dolly Parton, last week of July.

The song everyone has been and will be playing throughout the summer will be Usher's "YEAH!". Damn that crazy hip-hop.

Ozzfest 2004 is MUCH MUCH MUCH improved over past years and I can't wait to go.

"Yeah" won't be at the top of the charts much longer. Usher's probably going to knock himself off - he already has the #5 song in the country now too, "Burn." My guess is that'll take us into the summer pretty nicely. With this huge tour and the fact that the new album is poppier (and better) than anything he's done since the mid-90's, I think Prince actually stands a chance of getting some heavy airplay too, which'll be weird.

For the number one summer jam, though, I'm putting my money on some new material from Hall & Oates. Fuck 'em up, Darryl.

Gene Simmons will NEVER die. He's a roach, much like Cher, Scott Hall and Mickey Rooney. Gene will survive the Apocolypse and find a way to make money of of the second coming of Christ. Just wait and see.

Lacuna Coil will get HUGE while on Ozzfest, some major label will sign them and get them out of their current contract with Century Media, and be on the way to stardom.
