Adam 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2004 Loved the show, and thanks for the Main Event spot man. The Zack/Sly stuff was awesome, the Hoff 'kayfabe' joke was legendary, and the Dama/Drek stuff was also really, really good. I hope everyone liked the X Title match, I tried to write my past wrongs as a writer and put a fair bit of effort into it. Looks like LA is going to be a great Pay Per View, and I for one, am really looking forward to it. Top show.
CanadianChick 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2004 Sorry about the 24/7 match being a bit short. I'm not sure why, but I had a hard time with this match. It's strange to do a pure cruiserweight vs. a non-cruiserweight where the cruiser is the heel.
Adam 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2004 I know exactly what you mean CC, I tried to write AJ-Fly last week. I forgot to mention something very, very important: *MEGA MARK OUT* for the return of a well-loved part of the OAOAST roster.

Thumbs up. Did anyone think Tha Puerto Rican's speech about how much the belt meant to him was a little OVER dramatic? And did you think the "Master Plan" was too out there? KingPK 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2004 A few things: - Just some advice to PFL: you should really do something visual to seperate the segments. When I'm scrolling through the show, they seem to bleed into each other. I suggest something like a dashed line across the screen, like this: Segment 1 ends ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Segment 2 begins or, if you're going to commercial, bold the word *COMMERCIALS* - A little too heavy on the promos for my taste. A lot of them were real good, but it kind of got dull reading promo after promo. And I really don't think the PRL/Cappa confrontation needed 6 different segments (by my count) - Blurricane's return surprised me, but it's good to see LPYC back in the fold (hope you don't mind that I used Parka two weeks ago). - Sly is the man. I lost to him, but he's the man.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2004 So what did everyone think of my return? I hope I can put enough time into it to make it work. EDIT: PK how did you use Parka?
KingPK 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2004 Two weeks ago, after I lost my Anglemania match, I was taken off the active roster for April by Northstar, since I wasn't performing well. You surprised me in the locker room and just told me to do what you did a while back: go home and recharge. That's all.

NYU 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2004 Great show all around, despite the fact that it may have been a little promo-heavy. I loved the Sly interview with Hack Malibu, and it's pretty intense to see how much more personal the feud is getting every week. From the sit-down interview to the training session in the ring, it was really well-written. The kayfabe-breaking commentary that Hoff wrote was classic, and got a pretty big laugh out of me. Once again, I have to make a mention of the genius that is Jivin Jim Ross. I also liked the last match between Flaire and Gunner. Nice Guy, it really was very fun to read, and it turned out to be a great way to end the show. The PRL stuff was entertaining to read, but I'm going to have to agree with the idea that too much of that angle was pushed onto the show tonight. Some of it could have probably been saved for next week. Besides that, those confrontations were very well done. All around, it was a very good show tonight. And I can't be the only one HIGHLY anticipating the Drek Stone/Damaramu match at Living Anglelously
Hoff 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2004 You're not. NY, your stuff has been great week after week, and this week was no different. You can write, boy. That's for sure. Anyway, yeah, great show if a little promo-heavy. Hack Malibu was the best thing I've seen in a long, long while, and I marked out for Gunner finally turning on Axel. Good stuff all around, and might I say I'm really looking forward to Flaire/Black at LA.

Hoff 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2004 I didn't mean to slight you, Dama. You know I think highly of your writing. I was more referring to, well, everything NY has put forth since coming in, because I think he's really, really good.
