Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted April 24, 2004 Just a case of Jacksonville staying true to their board from what the ESPN crew are saying. Says it worked for the Jax guy when he was in Baltimore. I'd like to point out how Michael Irvin said "In order to win in today's NFL you need two quality RBs. You won't win anything without them". Evidently he was too busy snorting cocaine to pay attention to last season.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Report post Posted April 24, 2004 How is a man who suffers from Manic Depression with suicidal tendancies labeled a "CrackHead"? I'd really like an answer to that. He went on a drinking and drug binge in Mexico which was caused by his bi-polar disorder. I'm seeing all of these people get drafted who the Raiders could really use. Boulaware woulda been nice. So would've Greg Jones.

That comment epitomizes his stupidity.

Then its safe to say you're an uneducated Bumpkin. Smoking Crack makes you a Crackhead, being born with a legit mental disorder does not. I didn't hear about the drugging, I thought he just went down to a Tiajuana strip club and drank alot to drown his sorrows.
Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted April 25, 2004 Banky, I don't think anybody actually believes anything Irvin says. Either way the drafts were better with Dennis Green's commentary...Irvin is horrid. Tenn replaces The Freak nicely with Antwan Odem. Good pick

Good pick They replaced the Freak and whoever else played DE for em last year. They've taken both Travis LaBoy and Antwan Odom, as well as Ben Troupe in this round. Really excellent haul IMO. Either way the drafts were better with Dennis Green's commentary...Irvin is horrid. My dad is convinced that Deion Sanders is as bad as Irvin but really, its not even close. I'm surprised Michael Irvin has all of his basic motor skills from all of the coke he was snorting of off the prostitutes he was banging. Deion is a family man who has found God.... well maybe not But Deion can be quite entertainign and insightful when he wants to be. Irvin's dissing of Roy Williams for staying in school for his Senior year just summarizes Irvin's dope-fueled haze.

Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Report post Posted April 25, 2004 just a quick question. Its kinda embarassing since I'm supposed to be a Raiders fan I know Lincoln Kennedy was planning on retiring? Is it official? I've heard that he has since changed his mind. Can anyone fill me in?...with knowledge....
Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted April 25, 2004 He announced his official retirement after the Super Bowl and since then I've seen nothing indicating that he's had a change of heart.
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2004 This segment is terrible without Romanowski. They should just invite Chavous to the main set (he seems to know his stuff) and dump this idea.

Another good pick for Arizona, as Dockett is a first-round talent. And SD grabs a kicker and a center.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Report post Posted April 25, 2004 I know Rod is getting old, but damn. We need another viable receiver.
Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted April 25, 2004 Gotta wonder if the Pats are going back to a 4-3 base Seymour, Wilfork, Traylor, Hill with Jarvis Green taking over for Traylor in long passing downs and Ty Warren giving Hill and Seymour a break.

Der Kommissar 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2004 What is it with this Purdue love all of a sudden? That's 3 Boilermakers taken in the past 4 picks, and the 5th straight Big Ten pick.

Drury37 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2004 I was looking through this thread from earlier and when the trade was announced everyone was talking about how bad it was for the Giants but I wouldn't say that yet. It is only bad if they have a crappy year this year but if they are decent or good the deal is fine. If you give them a pick next year that is in the top 10 in the draft yeah maybe they gave up too much for Eli but if they have a decent year not even so much make the playoffs but just a decent year and you have like a number 20 draft choice then no I don't think they gave up too much for Eli. I think you will know if they gave up too much after next season. Oh and yes I know this is a thread about this but I was reacting to something that was discussed in this thread. Thanks. Purdue the last few seasons was ranked in the Top 3 in overall defense in the Big 10. Schweigert should have no problem playing with his former teammate at Purdue Rod Woodson. the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2004 The pick of Matt Ware in the third round made me feel a lot better about the first day's picks. I am liking the Andrews pick more and more. By the second round pick they gave up the top tier of LBs, RBs, and WRs were gone. And they ended up getting a good CB in round 3. I especially like the fact they grabbed a tall CB as Brown and Sheppard are smaller guys. They needed OLine help as their line is going to be in a state of flux in the near future (Mayberry is hitting 30, Welbourn's is a bitch, and one of Runyan or Thomas are likely to be released after this season).
