WWE Wrestlers Want Part-Time Status + more

Expect the Big Show to be absent from WWE for around 8-12 weeks to recover from his injuries. However, he has informed WWE management that he is willing to work through his injuries for as long as he can in order to help WWE recover from the losses of big names such as Goldberg and Lesnar.

 

- Those in the WWE Executive Offices are starting to get concerned about some of the main event wrestlers wishing to start working part-time schedules. Apparently they feel one of the reasons that Lesnar left the company was so he could one day return in a part-time capacity. Additionally, since the Undertaker has made the move to a seemingly part-time role due to nagging injuries, it could be possible that Kurt Angle is positioning himself in a similar fashion due to the severity of his injuries.

 

There continues to be a lot of talk backstage in the SmackDown locker room about Paul Heyman returning to the company at some point. However, according to those close to him, he has been avoiding most all wrestling related phone calls.

 

The former ECW owner still speaks with the Big Show, who continues to tell other wrestlers that Heyman will return only when he and Vince McMahon can agree on something, obviously joking.

 

A-Train has been working matches before RAW goes live each week. WWE creative is trying to come up with something for him and when they do he'll be on television for yet another 'push'.

 

WWE management is very happy with the in-ring work of Batista at both house shows and RAW each week. They feel he has the look and the potential to be a huge star someday.

 

Christopher Nowinski is still recovering from very severe headaches due to a concussion he suffered several months ago. Some people close to Chris question whether he'll ever be able to return to a full-time wrestling schedule.

Big Show is definitely a trooper dedicated to help WWE. Risking even more serious injuries to help them through tough times like these...and they rightfully tell him to take the time off to recover....and give BRADSHAW a push.

It wasn't. It was a work designed to bring Heyman back as a heel manager. At least that's what pwinsider and some other sites said about it after it happened.

Yeah no way the Heyman Raw quitting was a shoot and it went this long without being reported. Maybe Heyman's role in the WWE just got further reduced and thus the shit-o-city Smackdown has become. Smackdown desperately needs Heyman in control.

It's un-fucking-believable that they are using a real trooper like Big Show to build heat for a fucking BRADSHAW feud.

Sure, it's been a selling point that they never have an off day, but maybe they SHOULD. And with the vault of material that they have in their archives, what's stopping the WWE from putting together classic compilation shows and pulling in ratings that would convince Spike to keep them on the air?

 

It'll never happen.

I don't ask for an offseason, but please, after WrestleMania, just give the boys the night off. Run a week or two of WWE Classics in place of live programming and then get everyone rested up to start the wrestling year anew.

They don't have to give everyone time off at once. Give a few guys a week or two off and when they return give others time off. Let it be up to the guys if they want to take it off or not. Some may be fine with getting the time off to rest and only getting their down side, but others may not want to lose the bonus' from house shows and TV.

 

This would also lead to politics backstage. There will always be the guys who won't take the time off and point out the ones that do take it are weak and not team players. You can guess how Vince, the writing team and other agents will think. "We don't take time off so why should they?"

But I just don't think it's unreasonable to give the boys a week off to recharge the batteries. I'm sure I could wait a week for Wrestlemania fallout.
