Why the Hell are these guys left out of Backlash ?

Just wondering why the following are left out of Backlash and WHY the HELL "The Coach" has a match (and a good payday) but not these guys;

 

* Matt Hardy

* Test

* Batista

* A-Train

* Chuck Palumbo

* Lance Storm

* Rhyno

* Rob Conway

 

 

I thought the idea behind both the original brand spilt and the one right after mania xx was to get new guys on tv and on ppv's !!

 

REMEMBER what killed wcw; The lack of new guys elevated and put on tv...

 

Shame on you wwe for letting Matt & Lance stay off ANOTHER raw ppv !

Matt Hardy vs. Tajiri = possible *** match

Coach vs. Tajiri = Dud, possibly a fun DUD.

 

No one wants to see coach on PPV unless he's interviewing or comentating (and even then, not many want to see him).

* Matt Hardy - Hasn't had a consistent storyline since he came to RAW. When he doesn't have a storyline, why would he get a PPV match? Sure, it's a shame that he doesn't have a major storyline, but I understand.

* Test - Isn't he injured?

* Batista - He's Evolution. He will be involved.

* A-Train - Has yet to show up on RAW. He's going to come into the picture, and you'll have plenty of time to whine about A-Train sucking the heat out of your PPVs.

* Chuck Palumbo - to my understanding he's being retooled for a singles push, which hasn't taken fruition yet. So...no PPV. I'm sure he'll be around for the next one, so no worries. Patience.

* Lance Storm - Rhino. 0:30...tops. Why would he be on a PPV again? He has talent...there is no room for talent at this PPV.

* Rhyno - He's arrived, but not really done much on RAW. He'll be a major player before long...don't worry.

* Rob Conway - I'm expecting Frenchie/Eugene comedy to ensue at Backlash...don't worry.

 

 

The real question is: Why isn't Val Venis on this one? What more does he have to do? He had a good match with Randy Orton, then gets squashed by Kane and shoved into job duty for GARRISON FUCKING CADE. WTF. Call him Sean Morley and push him. STAT!

Maybe one or more of the aforementioned Workers will appear on tonight's Pre-PPV edition of Heat. I'm also betting that either A-Train or Chuck Palumbo will get involved In The Coach vs Tajiri match, setting up a possible feud between Tajiri and A-Train/Palumbo that almost nobody wants to see.

Matt Hardy isn't going anywhere, and his only obvious feud will be with either Lita, which will get the WWE in trouble with the NOW again. Or, he will feud with whoever shacks up with Lita. Call me crazy, but I think it might be Jericho.

 

Test is going nowehere, and he needs to go to OVW or something.

 

Batista is part of Evolution. He will be on the show whether we wanted him to or not.

 

A-Train is a heatless vacuum, and he'd just kill the heat of anyone he had a match with.

 

I don't give a flying crap about Chuck Palumbo.

You know, as much as I don't really care about either man at this point, I can't even fathom the logic of moving A-Train and Rhyno to RAW to....well, pretty much do nothing at this point, when Smackdown is in dire need of credible heels and both men could easily fit well into the midcard / upper midcard in that role.

This is the most confusing one. Batista has had quite a few decent matches since Survivor Series (with help admitedly, but still)...I'd prefer him to Flair against Shelton.

I'd say its a lot more likely that Storm will never get a good push because creative keeps giving him horrible character direction and not booking him to his strengths (which is WWE's fault), and because of his weak looking offense (which, it has to be said, is Storm's fault).

There's no conspiracy here. The guy just simply has a hard time getting/staying over, and the WWE wants to give TV time to other folks for a while before they try and push him again.

The last Apperence of Test on screen was when Orton sneak Attacked Foley and Test wanted to 'break off a piece"...

Storm actually can and has been very over, just not in WWE. He's one of those guys that needs to have a solid push behind him, or he'll bomb out there. In other words, he has to be "shoved down our throats" as people here say when the recipient of a push is someone they don't like *cough Orton cough*, although they don't seem to mind when its someone generally liked on here like Storm. Funny how that works, isn't it?

 

I don't understand how at one point WWE had Lance Storm, Justin Credible AND Dawn Marie all under contract doing absolutely nothing, and still refused to have an Impact Players reunion. They could've been big if booked properly. And they could've come in handy today now that the tag division sucks more than ever before.

No...Lance Storm needed to steal Bret' 1997 routine, Steal all the titles, Shove Canadian Pride down America's throat and that didn't work...so they turned Jim Duggan anti-american.

 

It took 6 months to get that miserable sack of unover heat.

Because he's 35 years old and has on MANY occasions said he wants to retire soon. Why invest time in a guy like that? Personally, The fact they keep this completely over rated worker employed flabergasts me.

 

Lance clearly isn't happy in WWE and WWE Doesn't care for him, Lance has said that he feels comfortable enough to retire and he can always work a couple ROH shows here and there. Why doesn't he just pull a Spanky?

Agreed, no one wants A-train. I don't even know why you reminded me of him. who wants to see Test? Batista is an evolution, I doubt he'll be in the Orton Match beacuse their not allowed in it but he'll have a promo. Lance just can't get over and has nothing to do with storyline. Well, it could be due, in large part, to the Impact Players bringing a whole lot of suck to the table as a team. God, they were awful.

 

Hurricane and Storm --- now I did like them.

 

BTW, the Hardy v Venis match --- did that finish look botched to anybody else? Seemed to fighting for an off-the-top-rope spot for WAY too long a time.

Then again, these guys came to Raw right when they needed to start building for Backlash - maybe WWE wanted to try and keep the show's credibility, even if I would've liked to see that Hardy/Venis match, which would've actually made it a 9-match card.
