EVIL~! alkeiper Posted April 24, 2004 Author Report Posted April 24, 2004 I couldn't see the Upper Deck, but the stands are filled, and its a solid crowd for baseball.
treble Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 I wish I was at home, since I'd have 4 games that I could watch (Jays/Orioles, Expos/Phillies, Marlins/Braves, Yankees/Red Sox).
razazteca Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 So they spent the whole wad on Vasquez and Brown who do produce but the pitchers the team thought would be the Aces are actually a pair of deuces?
Kahran Ramsus Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 And Brown is always an injury concern.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted April 24, 2004 Author Report Posted April 24, 2004 I don't see Brown as the injury risk others do. He missed time in 2001-02 with back trouble. Outside of those two years, he has a long string of 32+ start seasons.
Kahran Ramsus Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Delgado drives in Wells, but ends the inning trying to stretch it into a triple. 2-0 Toronto.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Well if the Blue Jays bats are going to have a collective mini-streak let it happen now. Red Sox don't face them again till Mid-May so I'm all for them beating up the pitching of the rest of the league.
Kahran Ramsus Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Baltimore is putting together a rally and have tied the game.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 I don't care if the Jays beat the Orioles, just tire out their pitching staff to put them into a slide.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted April 24, 2004 Author Report Posted April 24, 2004 Good to see the Braves lay a beat-down on the Marlins. The Phillies don't see the Marlins again until July, thank god.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Its 10-0 Red Sox and raining pretty hard. They should just call the game before somebody gets hurt.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Holy shit, the Tigers had an 11 run inning
Guest Choken One Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 and do what with them? Â Do they even have a Minor Leauge Farm system? Â I thought they traded them all away for Georgie's Cheese Spread from The Brewers.
Guest OctoberBlood Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Its 10-0 Red Sox and raining pretty hard. They should just call the game before somebody gets hurt. Pokey Reese has 2 hits. Â That's hilarious.
Guest Anglesault Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 and do what with them? It was a joke. Â "break up ______" is used when an allstar team is dominant. Since the Yankees are an embarssment, I was being sarcastic. Â Perhaps it's time to drop the excuses and "give them time" HORESESHIT and just admit that the 2004 New York Yankees are simply not a very good baseball club. They're one of those "Worst Team Money Can Buy" deals. The sooner we accept that, the sooner we can get to work on maing 2005 a success.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Matsui homers making it 10-2...and Derek Lowe is done
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted April 24, 2004 Author Report Posted April 24, 2004 "break up ______" is used when an allstar team is dominant. Since the Yankees are an embarssment, I was being sarcastic. Â I'm as tired of that phrase as you are of the _-Rod phrase.
Guest Anglesault Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Here come the Yankees. Â Or something. Â Who the hell cares at this point?
Guest Anglesault Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 "break up ______" is used when an allstar team is dominant. Since the Yankees are an embarssment, I was being sarcastic. Â I'm as tired of that phrase as you are of the _-Rod phrase. What?
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted April 24, 2004 Author Report Posted April 24, 2004 *checks* Ok, that wasn't you. I'm just tired of hearing "BREAK UP THE TIGERS!" or whatever else whenever any underachieving team wins more than 2 in a row.
Kahran Ramsus Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Well, Jays are throwing this game away now. Three straight runs scored off of a throwing error and HBP.
2GOLD Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Josh Towers just helped out the O's, tossing one into right field on a little tapper by Tejada and the Orioles now lead 6-2 with the bases loaded and 2 outs in the bottom of the fourth. Â Palmerio singled, and it's now 7-2 Baltimore.
Guest Anglesault Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 This season is just in general very unpleasant.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Manny homers and gets our lead back to 9
Guest Anglesault Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 Graman is in. I guess they figure eight more runs won't change anything.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted April 24, 2004 Author Report Posted April 24, 2004 Glanville pinch runs for Burrell. FIRE BOWA.
Guest Choken One Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 The Reds, led by another Monster shot by Adam Dunn takes this one 6-4 over the pirates.
