TNA paying for missed ROH dates

Recommended Posts

Hey Slapnuts...Colt Cabana is better than probably 90 % of TNA's roster.

Good for him. I'm sure Rob Feinstien video has his latest match avaliable, why don't you go buy it?

You make some really good points, but you might want to drop that TNA goes the extra mile for their fans stuff.

I've recieved nothing but prompt, friendly replies from everyone in TNA I've ever contacted. I've recieved several great gifts like signed AJ Styles photos, posters, t-shirts and videos as a thank you just for ordering. I've been told to send in my receipt for the first X-cup which had technical difficulties so they could send me a clean tape free of charge (other on the board have recieved their tape already). They have offered a monthly package plan which saves up to 15 dollars a month which is nice for fans who order every week anyway, and by getting on TV they're trying to give their fans more exposure for less money. As a long time fan, I've seen nothing but first class from the people that run TNA. But, but OMG...Samoa Joe is better than Jeff Jarrett!!!!!! 111111

But to be honest with you, you should realize that first off TNA hasn't cost any worker(if that's what you meant) thousands of dollars.  I don't even think that they have even missed a show yet.......

That's not entirely fair. Wrestlers take bookings far in advance. Let's use Jerry Lynn for example. Let's say he was booked for this coming weekend in December. Since then, he might have been offered 3 other shows that he turned down because he was already booked. Now if TNA hadn't come through, it might have been too late for Jerry to pick something up as everyone's shows for that weekend would have already been booked. Now TNA did come through in the end, but up until now, these guys could have been operating as if they had lost thousands. Maybe AJ Styles had made a purchase because he knew he was getting $2,000 lets say for the double shot. The last 2 weeks he might have been freaking out about it. That kind of sucks for the boys, but it the end it doesn't matter because TNA came through. It's hardly an injustice. Once again, they didn't have to sign the contracts.

You make great point, and it's nice to see people are being objective. Also looking at what you said objectively, then I am sure that they could take those bookings that they turned down. I think that the workers could call the promotion and tell them that "my schedule is free now if you still want me to work" or something to that effect. Oh, and nice that some people realize that it is partly the workers faults for signing in the first place.

They should give you something for being able to last through their programming.

And if you honestly believe that Jeff Jarrett, who has been nothing since 1995, is better than Samoa Joe, I feel bad for you.

Enjoy Jarrett vs Harris in a cage, or whatever the hell the weekly main event run in fest is for this week.

Boo hoo. Stop being so bitter just because your company fucked itself over. You still have Coco Cabana or whoever still works for your favorite sleazy indy promotion.

Hey Slapnuts...Colt Cabana is better than probably 90 % of TNA's roster.

And explain to me how ROH fucked itself over?

Colt would be a star if he changed his look and physique a tad bit.

As far as ROH fucking themselves over, do you honestly TNA would want to pull the workers off the shows if ROH had handled themselves well when the incident occurred?

I totally agree with Slapnuts' post, maybe just not TNA going the extra mile for the fans

What's bad is that a lot of your hate on the situation of TNA pulling the workers is that OMG TNA SUCKS, and not what TNA was doing is wrong, which it isn't.

And while I enjoy ROH more than TNA, I'd honestly rather see a company like TNA succeed.

Yes, the Feinstein thing was just their opportunity to do so. TNA didnt like that some of there workers enjoyed ROH more than TNA. It was their opportunity to play off their contracts (which stated they could work anywhere but WWE but magically changed) ROH however will still run, good and strong, despite the fact that they lost 2 of their major players. This weekend's shows will blow the Midwest away.

EDIT: Sorry, one additional comment. The document asked for the signee to be personally responsible. What would it matter if Doug at money in the company at that time or not then?

I missed this the first time through for some reason. This would be like the CEO of a company grabbing some guy out of the mail room, naming him President of the company and then having him sign such a document. While said mailboy has the title he has no real stake in the company and therefore can not be held responsible for what the company does.

You are wrong. The contract said they couldn't work for competition. It didn't say WWE.

And that's great that their shows will blow everyone away. I will enjoy watching them 2 months down the road.

No, see that was my point. It's too late. These promotions that they already turned down would have booked their shows. They wouldn't then have an extra $1,000 laying around to pay AJ. That's what I mean by it's too late.

You're just speculating though, just like he was. You don't know, so your point isn't valid. It's an assumption.

Here's my opinion:

They're paying them for taking them off their bookings? Good. But I don't see the need to praise them for doing what they should do.

I still don't understand why they don't just let them work RoH at this point. Maybe when they start trying to run shows in Pennsylvania and Ohio I'll understand...but for now...I don't get it.

Also...I'm convinced that TNA could cure cancer and the negativity over it would swamp this board.

Yeah, but those who received Jerry Jarrett's cure for cancer have occasional headaches from the medication. DEATH TO TNA! ROH ROX MY SOX

I admit I was speculating on that and I wasn't saying that should be set in stone. Also, is there anyone here that knows the answer to this or someone they could ask........

This whole TNA/RoH deal is pissing me off, more because of the incessant bickering from EVERYONE on this.

I like both companies, RoH more than TNA admittedly, and I think both are to blame for certain things.

I wish TNA had let Styles work one more show so he could drop the Pure Wrestling title as opposed to pulling him out while he still had one of RoH's titles. It's also sad that Chris Daniels, a guy who had been with RoH since its inception, will no longer be working RoH's shows since he was a big player there as well.

However, RoH's actions continue to completely baffle me. This should have been resolved WEEKS ago but instead RoH fans have been denied a lot of their top guys because of RoH management's poor handling of this.

TNA IS justified in what they're doing, but I still wish a couple of concessions had been made.

And Michrome, shit, could you possibly have missed Slapnuts' point a little more? I mean, the Colt Cabana joke was pretty lame, but you're coming off really ignorant here.

Yous guys this gettin very childish. Stop. Please. OK. :bonk:

TNA is just doin whats good for the business of them and ROH cant hang with the big boys (they used to play in WCW...ok not funny :( ) It's mean to keep money from people, you gotta earn your daily bread but they had some sick guy runnin them like for real. If you want shows when wrestling aint popular you gotta suck up to the newtorks and havin wrestlers who work for a pedo  isnt gonna help you.

(PS Sorry for the bad spelling guys, I'll try and make it better, just lazy I guess :P )

.............hmm...(gets note-pad, and scribbles down something to be announced later)

Really, this is how I see everything...

(RF is caught in a pedophile sting)

ROH Fans: boo RF. But ROH still rules.

(no evidence proves RF is gone)

ROH Fans: Boo everyone. They signed a paper that my grandmother could've written. Thats enough proof for me.

(TNA removes workers from ROH shows)

ROH Fans: This sucks. Unless they pay them for not working the shows they would be doing, they Suck.

(TNA pays wrestlers of ROH for having them taken off shows)

ROH Fans: Boo. TNA Sucks. They should do more shows to compensate.

(TNA announces weekly PPV's and weekly TV deal)

ROH Fans: Boo. Tna sucks. They have a world champion who is known world wide while a random WWE fan would call Samoa Joe a fat ass Samoan with no future and use him as Samoan Swat Team Member #3 in Fantasy booking.

False.

Uhhhh is Jeff Jarrett known worldwide?? And Samoa Joe works for Z-1 and various European promotions so I think he is known worldwide.

And your point is.....

Oh wait that's right. You don't have one.

I'm still very pissed that TNA took the ROH workers off the show but I applaud them for at least compensating them for what they would've made. I'm still not gonna order a TNA show but at least they did the right thing

You did ignore the SERIOUS ones I meant about the taking wrestlers off shows.

I seriously don't care about Jarrett or Joe so making fun of Jarrett won't bother me at all.

I did because I have no issue with them.

I also have no problem with someone still thinking that Ring of Honor kicks ass despite the Rob Feinstein allegations. Does Rob Feinstein liking 14 year old boys take away all the ****+ matches they've had? No.

Vince is a scumbag but that doesn't mean Wrestlemania wasn't one of the best shows I've seen live.

(And yes I know there's a difference between Rob and Vince)

This TNA v. ROH thing sucks and I love AJ Styles so it REALLY sucks but with TNA compensating them I really have nothing else to bitch about. Everyone should move on.

I just don't see what you mocking Double J or Samoa Joe really adds to the topic. It just pointlessly adds more fuel to the fire

Well I wasn't making fun of either really. I just meant a normal WWE fan (who doesn't follow anything else) would be puzzled on who Samoa Joe is. I didn't say he was shit.

I applaud Jarrett for allowing CHRIS HARRIS (a midcarder) to possibly be the next champ, but I think it's stupid, so thats the only insult I'll throw at him.

While it's nice of Jarrett to elevate Chris Harris- it doesn't sound like the kid has what it takes. Based on what I've read here (Keep in mind I haven't seen TNA in forever so I could be wrong) it sounds like he's just a bland midcarder who no one takes seriously.

I guess they're holding off Jarrett v. Raven II for somethng big

Why would a WWE fan give two shits about anyone from NWA:TNA or RoH? That's why they're a WWE fan, they follow the WWE.

NWA:TNA & RoH needs their own fans....

I disagree with the Samoa Joe comment.

Outside of that, though, this is the most accurate representation of ROH marks that has ever been written.

Or possibly ever will be.
