Drive-Thru Record Fans?

Recommended Posts

Any Drive-Thru Record fans on the board? I know Drive-Thru just signed two bands, any comments on what you've heard or even may have seen?

Definitely, Drive-Thru is one of my favourite labels. Finch and Something Corporate both bring the emo-rock goodness and the likes of Homegrown, Fenix TX (RIP), New Found Glory and the now departed Midtown have all released fantastic records for the label. I haven't heard about the two new bands (I'm kind of out of touch with music over the last few months), but as long as their better than Steel Train, I'll be happy

Something Corperate is beloved by all the Freshmen Girls at my HS.

So they must really suck.

Every band I've heard on that label is awful. I marvel at their commitment to sign so many terrible acts.

I always thought you liked New Found Glory?!

*waiting for the Laz hate to flood the thread*

I like a lot of those kinds of bands. Fenix TX was my favorite on the lable. Too bad they split, I thought Lechuza was even better then their first album, they came off as a much more polished band from just their first album to their second

I've heard one of the new bands they signed, called Hellogoodbye.

It's absolute the gayest fucking shit I've ever had the displeasure of hearing. If they band died in a gruesome car crash, I'd laugh.

Yeah, I will say the average emo/whatever you want to call it name is usually just as bad as the average death-metal name

It's not emo. It's not pop-punk. It's just gay. I dare you to even take a listen.

Shit, I'd take a day of listening to Mortician (the worst death metal band ever) over Hellogoodbye. Actually, I'd take anything over Hellogoodbye.

If you can listen to Hellogoodbye and say with a straight face that you like them, then I'd like to take that straight face and smash it with a lead pipe.

I was charged with a class-two misdemeanor (Harrassment) this year for making fun of some girl who liked Something Corporate. Not only do they like horrible music, but they can't argue worth shit.

And I have no idea if Yellowcard is signed to Drive-Thru, but they're god-awful.

ELECTRIC FIDDLE SOLO~!

Their roster, according to allmusic.com:

RX Bandits

A New Found Glory

Steel Train

Finch

The Starting Line

The Movielife

Midtown

Allister

Hidden in Plain View

Senses Fail

Early November

Something Corporate

The Benjamins

Dashboard Confessional

Riverfenix

Absolutely terrible.

What I love about threads like this.

If it's hip-hop or metal, people who don't care, just stay the hell out. But when it comes to pop-punk/emo people just get the "I HAVE to let these people know this sucks. It's my DUTY!" need to post.

And I like Fenix TX, and Yellowcard. And even a random Dashboard song isn't bad.

Don't you ever speak ill of Mortician.

Necrophagous is far worse.

Then you've never heard Necrophagous. Have you ever heard Lividity? They fucking suck. Every track is a gross sample, then two minutes of gore n growl with boring chugging. At least Mortician tunes down below A to do their simplistic riffs and gurgles.
