Guest reshad974 Posted April 28, 2004 Report Posted April 28, 2004 the dream match fans will pay good money to see and that will appeal to casual viewers too. IMO, there's nothing better than Hulk Hogan vs Steve Austin. What do you think ?
deancoles Posted April 28, 2004 Report Posted April 28, 2004 Bob Sapp vs. Brock Lesnar or Bob Sapp vs. Goldberg would be big in japan.
WhenDanSaysJump Posted April 28, 2004 Report Posted April 28, 2004 I'd pay good money to see a shootfight featuring Hogan v CroCop and Bob Sapp!
k thx Posted April 28, 2004 Report Posted April 28, 2004 Austin/Goldberg. From a smark view, Angle/Michaels.
Guest NCJ Posted April 28, 2004 Report Posted April 28, 2004 If the WWE would have played their cards right Benoit vs Michaels for the title at WM with the proper build would have been huge in North America. Especially if they would have involved Bret Hart somehow. Cena vs Rock could do big money, and Austin vs Hogan and Austin Goldberg are two matches with money written all over them. I just don't think either one is really possible because of injuries. In Japan Brock vs. damn near anyone from Bob Sapp, to Goldberg, to Vader would all do huge numbers. Eventually I think Cena vs. Orton will be the money match that the WWE needs to happen.
Jingus Posted April 28, 2004 Report Posted April 28, 2004 Some people are gonna hate me for suggesting this, and hell, I hate myself for it. But still: Luger vs. Savage. "YOU KILLED ELIZABETH!!!"
Guest Choken One Posted April 28, 2004 Report Posted April 28, 2004 Uh no..sounds like a shitty main for the shitty TNA brand. I have a List of the only 7 "money" matches +Hulk Hogan Vs Steve Austin +Steve Austin Vs Goldberg (pretty likely to eventully happen in Japan) +HBK Vs Kurt Angle +Bret Hart Vs HBK (Bret has openly forgiven Vince and has repatched friendship...theres still bitter bad blood between the two +The Undertaker Vs Sting +Eddy Guerrero Vs Chris Benoit (Champion vs Champion) However Brock Vs anyone in Japan may dwarf all those...Sapp/Lesnar would be the 21st century edition of Andre/Hogan.
Tawren Posted April 28, 2004 Report Posted April 28, 2004 Sapp vs Austin or Sapp vs Rock are the only two I can think of.
The Tino Standard Posted April 29, 2004 Report Posted April 29, 2004 Eventually I think Cena vs. Orton will be the money match that the WWE needs to happen. Years from now, I think that will be the feud that will define this era of the WWE.
CanadianChick Posted April 29, 2004 Report Posted April 29, 2004 That's the problem: I don't think there are any dream matches anymore, from a buyrates point of view. It's not a bad thing though. No need to see old guys who can't go anymore having a dream match.

razazteca Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 McMahon & Inoki presents: THE PRIDE OF SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT I Wanderlei Silva vs Chris Benoit Quinton Jackson vs John Cena Coleman & Randleman vs Benjamin & Haas Vitor Belfort vs Jamie Noble Rey Mysterio vs Kendo Ka Shin Randy Contour vs HHH Cro Cop vs Lesnear Bob Sapp vs The Big Show
tbondrage99 Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 Being the big Bret Hart fan that I have I would say these three: Bret Hart vs. Kurt Angle Bret Hart vs. Chris Jericho Bret Hart vs. Eddie Gurrero and of corse Hogan vs. Austin just sends a shiver down my spine of excitement.
reign Posted May 8, 2004 Report Posted May 8, 2004 Those are all good choices...I'd mark for Rock vs. HBK, Angle vs. HBK...honestly any combination with HBK against anybody that wasn't quite around when he was WWF champ...I thought the RVD match would've been great but HHH f'd that up...I'd love to see Savage come back and take on some of the current roster...and we still have time for HBK and Eddie...it's only a matter of time...the big money match would be a Tag Match with Hogan/Rock versus Savage/Cena...of course with a proper build...And of course anything with Bret..even a damn interview..would draw HUGE numbers
