thuganomics 0 Report post Posted May 5, 2004 Supposedly, Corino and Hart had been turned in to a work, so you never know about appearances from him. However, I'm thinking we won't see a lot of bigshot stars. A lot of indy high-flyers instead. If the shadows on the main page are any example, we only have 5 more members of their roster to announce...
JustJoe2k5 0 Report post Posted May 5, 2004 Add Jamar Cunningham (Jay Lethal) and Matt Martel to the roster. Jay Lethal is a great pickup in my opinion, and Matt Martel is decent.

thuganomics 0 Report post Posted May 5, 2004 According to the DVDVR board, Sonjay Dutt and the Amazing Red are next to be announced, they found their profile pics in the website somewhere. I guess the shadows could be them but I doubt it. I'm pretty damn sure that Blackout (Ruckus, Joker, and Sabian) are three of the outlines on the main page though. JustJoe2k5 0 Report post Posted May 5, 2004 The shadow behind Harry Smith does look a little like Amazing Red to me, but I doubt the shadows really mean anything but place-holders. I would love to see Amazing Red and Sonjay Dutt in H2, though.
JustJoe2k5 0 Report post Posted May 5, 2004 H2 marks Hart family's return to wrestling The legendary Hart family is making a return to wrestling, and they're kicking it off in Boston. H2 Pro Wrestling will hold its debut show at The Roxy on June 26. It's a new venture co-owned by youngest brother Teddy Hart and former Major League Wrestling owner Court Bauer. Bauer has been named President of H2, while Hart will serve as Executive Producer -- and, much like Jeff Jarrett in NWA-TNA, resident big name. The company is being funded by a Chinese company called WGO, who purchased the rights to MLW from Bauer earlier this year. Much of the talent will come from both MLW and the Hart family's former venture, Calgary's Stampede Wrestling. Already signed to appear at the first event are Hart, of course, and the Stampede Bulldogs -- T.J. Wilson and Harry Smith, son of the late British Bulldog, Davey Boy Smith. Other talent slated to appear includes Jack Evans, Jillian Love, Los Maximos, and the Havana Pitbulls, Rocky Romero and Ricky Reyes. According to sources, a few other big names have been signed, with more names to be announced in the coming weeks. Any chance big brother Bret "The Hitman" Hart might show up? The plan is for H2 to be based around a mixture of several styles of wrestling and feature wrestlers from around the world. It's also been confirmed that H2 will feature the United States debut of the six-sided ring, but it's not known yet if they'll have it in place for the Boston show. For more information and updates, keep checking www.H2Wrestling.com. Bell time for this first event is listed as 6 p.m., but it's suggested fans show up early. Tickets are available from H2's site and, beginning this weekend, through Boston-area Ticketmaster outlets. Besides the goof with Teddy Hart being billed as the younger brother of Bret Hart, this is a pretty interesting article and with WGO backing the company I doubt money is a problem for the time being. JustJoe2k5 0 Report post Posted May 6, 2004 Dave Prazak - Chicago's most devious manager has arrived in H2 Pro-Wrestling after being granted a manager's license following his lawyers going the distance with H2 officials to prevent the move. H2 management has heard the stories of Prazak's work in the Midwest and his office's ability to "over lawyer" and cause great chaos in the brokering of matches for those he represents. But the above is just the beginning as H2Wrestling.com has confirmed that Prazak caused some serious havoc open being issued his H2 license to manage, disrupting the Open Draft by contacting several signed H2 Superstars as well as many high impact freelancers/free agents on the wrestling circuits. In addition to throwing the Open Draft into mass chaos, there is talk that Prazak was able to maneuver a deal to possibly serve as an analyst in the broadcast booth. How will Prazak's aggressive and obnoxious power plays in H2 effect the Open Draft and behind the scenes in H2 remains to be known, but one thing is for sure, June 26 will see the arrival of one of today's most underhanded and despicable minds in Dave Prazak. Dave Prazak + Eric Gargiulo = Commentating Greatness!

Guest Jay Z. Hollywood Report post Posted May 24, 2004 (edited) After a long delay in new announcements, Kaz Miyamoto from All Japan's Tumeric Storm has been added to the debut show/roster. I've never seen him, but I heard he's by far the weak link of the TS crew. Still, the announcement of another puro star might drive up tape sales when the show is released, especially if he's given a high-profile US opponent. I also heard he's moving to the US before the show happens, which'll save H2 the fly-in cost. Minnamino vs. Ishimori for the UWA Welterweight title is confirmed, which ripped it up in Toryumon. Finally, there's some weird angle with Gary Hart's "Black Friday Management" going on, which I don't understand in the slightest and will probably go over like John Kerry's "trial balloon." JustJoe2k5 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2004 I would think Black Friday would be the Homicide and Low Ki team Gary Hart managed in MLW.

HollywoodSpikeJenkins 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2004 They have a packed roster. Once I see a card for sure, I'll fork over $50 to take the bus trip to wherever it is.
Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted May 24, 2004 Even with the talent they've rounded up, which to me seems a bit scant on big names, I don't think this will work. I hope I'm wrong, since more good wrestling means... well, more good wrestling for me to watch. I just have a bad feeling about this.
Guest Jay Z. Hollywood Report post Posted May 24, 2004 I would think Black Friday would be the Homicide and Low Ki team Gary Hart managed in MLW. I think you're right on this one, since one of the black outlines looks a LOT like Low Ki. Based on the current roster and rumored additions, here's a rough online of what I think the debut show card will be: Takeshi Minnamino vs. Taiji Ishimori © -UWA Welterweight title match (confirmed) Havana Pitbulls vs. Stampede Bulldogs Backseat Boyz vs. SAT Chris Hero vs. Jamar Cunningham Matt Martel vs. Kaz Miyamoto Jack Evans vs. Sonjay Dutt vs. Red Teddy Hart vs. ? (I'm guessing Low Ki or Homicide) Roderick Strong vs. the guy Teddy doesn't face Blackout vs. Teddy's Special K guys (Deranged/Lit/Azrael)
Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted May 24, 2004 They don't have anyone I can see as a Main Eventer on the Indy Scene. Well, If Cide and Ki are in then that helps, but still, they are teh ONLY ones I see as legit top guys. That could be a major problem.

Well, If Cide and Ki are in then that helps, but still, they are teh ONLY ones I see as legit top guys. That could be a major problem. That's why you build stars through strong booking. Kind of like ROH is doing with Shelley, and his group. Legimate main eventers is not a problem. You BUILD your main eventers. I would go to H2Wrestling even if Low Ki or Homicide weren't there. Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted May 25, 2004 I understand what you mean, but on your FIRST SHOW you would probibly want someone with name value. RoH had Eddie and Crazy (and to a lesser known extent Daniels Ki and Dragon...) But who knows.
thuganomics 0 Report post Posted May 25, 2004 I think Teddy, Red, and to a lesser extent Sonjay and Chris Hero bring a good amount of attention to the company. And there hype machine has rolled out quite well across the internet, so most smarks already know about it. My guess is they will be a great success if they don't try to push in to doing everything right away. And they have one of the best websites for a wrestling company on the planet. JustJoe2k5 0 Report post Posted May 26, 2004 Teddy Hart will most likely be a main-eventer in the promotion, and Chris Hero could easily be one as well. Add those two to Homicide and Low Ki and any combination would make a worthwhile main event match.

JustJoe2k5 0 Report post Posted May 26, 2004 I don't think so, I was just going on speculation. Homicide and Low Ki had some potential as a heel tandem in MLW, so I'm sure they would want to continue that. I wouldn't mind seeing B-Boy added to the mix as well. Guest Corino 1000 Report post Posted May 27, 2004 I don't know if its been posted but whatever. "After receiving word that Taiji Ishimori - Minnamino's arch rival from Toryumon had signed to compete in H2 Pro-Wrestling, the colorful resident from the fashion district in Mexico City had a fit and called the H2 Pro-Wrestling offices. Access the article. Minnamino sent word that he was was not only petitioning to compete in H2 but challenging the Japanese pop idol himself Ishimori to continue their on going feud in H2 for Ishimori's UWA World Welterweight Title. Yes, delusional Minnamino of Toryumon's Los Salseros Japonaises has arrived in H2 and Toryumon and H2 officials have signed the contract for Ishimori to defend the prestigious UWA World Welterweight Title for the first time on American soil in decades! "-h2wrestling.com We have the first match of the card. I like the storyline for the match. Hopefully the card is good as well...
