I don't know if its been posted but whatever.

"After receiving word that Taiji Ishimori - Minnamino's arch rival from Toryumon had signed to compete in H2 Pro-Wrestling, the colorful resident from the fashion district in Mexico City had a fit and called the H2 Pro-Wrestling offices. Access the article. Minnamino sent word that he was was not only petitioning to compete in H2 but challenging the Japanese pop idol himself Ishimori to continue their on going feud in H2 for Ishimori's UWA World Welterweight Title. Yes, delusional Minnamino of Toryumon's Los Salseros Japonaises has arrived in H2 and Toryumon and H2 officials have signed the contract for Ishimori to defend the prestigious UWA World Welterweight Title for the first time on American soil in decades! "-h2wrestling.com

We have the first match of the card. I like the storyline for the match. Hopefully the card is good as well...

Welllp, you can thank Toryumon for that.

Of course, those prats stole images from the Nameless Toryumon Fansite without giving the site credit or getting the webmaster's permission, which might have something to do with why he currently has the gallery section of his site closed, so that takes away from the whole thing a bit.

I don't get why they're just referring to Takeshi Minnamono by his last name, though. Feels too WWE.

On June 26, 2004 for the first main event in the history of H2 Pro-Wrestling, two of the people's greatest will wrestle to determine who the best truly is. The grounds for this battle will be a one-on-one best of three match series where the winner will be the next in a long line of Opera Cup championship winners, which includes: Jim Londos (1933 winner), Ed Don George (1935 winner), George Lurich (1915 winner), Stu Hart, and many others. The second match of a possible three match series will occur July 31st back at the Roxy in Boston, MA.

In addition to winning the Opera Cup, the winner will receive a check for $2,500 (USD) and ranked the number one seed for the heavyweight championship tournament held later this year.

The competitors for this one-on-one encounter will be determined by you, the fan via fan votes. The two H2 superstars with the most votes will be signed to compete for the above prize. Starting May 27th and ending on May 30th at midnight, fans can e-mail H2 Pro-Wrestling at: [email protected] to decide who will battle to claim the rights as the best in H2. Note: You may only pick from the active list of H2 Superstars on the H2 roster page:

About the Opera Cup:

Held annually for nearly 50 years at various turn-of-the-century opera house locations from New York City to Boston, the Professional Wrestling Opera House Cup was a grueling multi-day tournament that was based around a complicated round robin system (which H2 hopes to bring back down the road). The best of the day competed in the tournament and would often be an entree to more success, including the World Heavyweight Championship of the day. For years the cup has sat in the attic of the Hart Mansion in Calgary until the tragic passing of the last cup recipient, Stu Hart (1948 winner). Ted Hart inherited the Opera House Trophy Cup upon the passing of his grandfather. Inspired by the legends whose names are immortalized in plaques on the sides of the cup, Hart has donated the cup to H2 Pro-Wrestling to reignite the spirit of the greats who preceded today and tomorrow's greats.

The Professional Wrestling Opera House Cup is dedicated to the great men who have fought valiantly before us to ensure our passion, professional wrestling be cemented and respected in the annals of time.

The Opera House Cup? This company sure does some goofy shit. That being said, I've already ordered my tickets and I'm interested to see what they do.

From the Newest Newsletter: H2 Pro-Wrestling and H2Wrestling.com would like to thank

its fans for the overwhelming response to the Opera Cup

poll to determine who would compete in the first main

event in the company's history as well as participate in

the return after a 56 year hiatus of a pro wrestling

classic: the "Professional Wrestling Opera House Cup."

After several days of online e-mail voting the company is

proud to announce the leading candidate and headlining

match for June 26 in Boston, MA at The Roxy will be "the

Loose Cannon" Teddy Hart versus one of his best friends in

and out of the wrestling business, The Shady Show" Jack

Evans. In what will be a match that epitomizes what H2 is

all about, Evans will battle his teacher Hart in a bout

which will be the definitive showcase for both to show

just who is the superior wrestler on the mat and in the

air as they strive to go above and beyond to get the first

win of a possible three match series.

Both men guarantee a classic one-on-one encounter as they

put their friendship on hold in pursuit of one of

wrestling's true treasures - the Opera Cup. For more

information on the H2 Opera Cup, please visit:

http://h2wrestling.com/view/v.php?a44.

H2 has also signed for 6/26 the Japanese Daredevil Kaz

Miyamoto to lock up with the leader of Heronetics - Chris

Hero in what should be a brilliant technical encounter

between two of H2's best in the extreme sports adrenaline

junkie Miyamoto and a profound cult-like figure in Hero,

leader of a suspected movement known as Heronetics. When

reached for comment about this match at his compound, Hero

stated he had signed on for the match to save Miyamoto

from his reckless ways outside of the ring with Miyamoto's

love for the extreme. June 26 at the Roxy - a building

which will be full of Japanese photographers, H2 match

makers, and Heronetics, Hero prophesizes of a massive

sacrifice when he will virtuously save Miyamoto and his

young career from his own recklessness by waking him from,

as Hero puts it "Miyamoto's fearless ignorance and

addictions to that which is impure." Before hanging up

with Hero, the self-proclaimed philosopher alleged he had

been wrongfully persecuted by those behind H2 and the fans

for failing the Opera Cup voting process and would address

that issue in the near future as well.

Meanwhile, while in final preparations to move to Hawaii

from Japan, Miyamoto blew off Hero's self righteous banter

and via translator said: "I have picked H2 as the American

wrestling organization to make my impact in. Chris Hero

will not alter this course. I have no fear about meeting

eyes and wrestling Hero in Boston. I will take Hero past

the boundaries that he knows of in the ring and bring the

Boston fans a thrilling Japanese Daredevil style match!"

Look for these two to continue to exchange explosive words

as the countdown to June 26 continues.

The Havana Pitbulls will not be wrestling on 6/26 for H2

after pulling out. H2wrestling.com will be announcing the

Pitbulls' replacement(s) shortly. We apologize for this

inconvenience.

I don't think Hart vs. Evans has happened 1-on-1 in a major US indy yet (although someone can correct me if I'm wrong) so the match still has some appeal for me, especially since I'm an Evans mark. That said, I'm still majorly disappointed that there's no Hart vs. Hero, although Hero/Miyamoto might give Hero some looks from a Japanese promotion.

I'm not a Pitbulls fan at all (this is just judging from two PWG matches of theirs I've seen) so I don't mind them being off the show. However, them vs. the Stampede Bulldogs would have been good. Maybe H2 can get Puma and Quance instead?

I think H2 may end up as MLW lite, and I don't think that will be a good thing at all. The roster is looking just like MLW's near the end. The card looks okay, judging from teh matches announced thus far. And can we say SPOT CITY? for the Main? Sheesh. Although it looks like this may end up with a something for everyone feel. They are seriously gonna have to forge their own identity somehow...

The card looks alright my thoughts are that it was way over hype.

Black Friday Management has drafted "Mr. X", who promises to bring violence to H-2 Pro Wrestling. From looking at the shadow the first two people that come to mind are Homicide or New Jack.

They did wrestle in Stampede on 4/9/04, which was pretty solid with some way out there spots (a piledriver on a regular (non-folding) chair by Hart, Evans with a moonsault off a car in the parking lot). I'm sure they can top that in H2 if they try.

More H2 news:

They FINALLY signed another match for the debut show, as the Stampede Bulldogs (Harry Smith and TJ Wilson) will face Generation Next members Alex Shelley and Roderick Strong. However, the SAT are also off the show due to Japan commitments.

Talent has been signed for the 2nd and third shows (7/31 in Boston, 8/28 in ?) -Sal and Vito Thomaselli are booked for the second show, and AJ Styles will be at the third show (Credit: pwinsider)

Hart vs. AJ could be really good. They both have a similar style, but AJ is a little more rounded. (Facing guys like Daniels and Am.Dragon in RoH for two years can do that) THAT is a match that would be a pretty big draw for H2.

Hart vs. Styles has already happened a couple of times, out in some indy fed in Hawaii. I've seen the matches on tape, and they gave the feeling of "this is pretty good, but give these two some more experience working with each other in the future and it'll be fucking great".

WOW. Just WOW. This will be an amazing display of technical ability with some awesome acrobatics. Hopefully, Quiet Storm is ever better than before.

Whoa, big news. Super Dragon gets added to 6/26 (so has Ruckus and Sumie Sakai)

The Violence Party to arrive in Boston on 6/26

Super Dragon is not coming to simply wrestle a match. Super Dragon is coming to Boston to smash faces harder than Nomar Garciapara hits baseballs. The wrestlers of H2 has better rent their tuxes, hire babysitters and RSVP now because on June 26th, they are all invited to a Violence Party whether they like it or not.

Wow! Super Dragon wrestling on the East Coast again. Then is great. H2Wrestling is slowly becoming a dream roster for me.

I'm thinking Ruckus vs. Sonjay Dutt could be signed for the debut show, and Super Dragon in H2 can be nothing but good. I really hope this company stays around a long time.

Me too, but their business practices seem suspect so far. They're bringing in guys like Dragon and Hero, which I assume means plane tickets. Plus they're using the Roxy in Boston, which just has to be expensive, at least compared to the armories that ROH uses when they come up this way.

Due to situations beyond our control H2 was forced to change venues from the Roxy in Boston to the Somerville Theatre (at 55 Davis Square Somerville, MA 02144) which is just 5 minutes from Downtown Boston in Somerville, MA. All tickets will be honored for this event from the old location. Bell time is 6:00 PM. Tickets are available at www.H2Wrestling.com at $18 for will call pick-up as well as at the door for $20 the night of the show.

In addition, H2 decided due to the Democratic Convention in July, that the Somerville Theatre would be a more convenient building to run to ensure the fans face virtually no transportation challenges which they would be faced with in Downtown Boston. As such, H2 was given an excellent opportunity to give the fans a stable location that easily accessible via the T rail system as well as car. Reserved tickets for the July 31st show are on sale now at: www.H2Wrestling.com.

We apologize for the inconvenience and look forward to delivering the H2 Experience on June 26, July 31 and in the future at the Somerville Theatre. [::Buy Tickets::]

Eh, it's still T accessible, so it won't be a problem for me. Throws a wrench in post-H2 partying plans though.

On the plus side, I got my tickets today, and it lists the event as an "International TV Taping" -which means Toryumon will probably use the Ishimori/Minnamino match for their TV show.
