UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2004 Now that Trips is back to putting on good matches, putting over new stars (or at least not just squashing them), and Raw has been getting better, I was thinking that now is the time to bring back Stephanie to HHH's side. The fans hate Stephanie. The marks do. The internet does. She's been doing the ridiculous "general manager babyface" crap and quite frankly, it didn't draw. I say, allign her as Evolution's manager, and have her and Trips draw massive heat again, staying AWAY from the title picture for now. It would help, with say, an Edge/HHH feud. Edge came back, was hurt, and quite frankly, the internet pretty much hated him for a month. Now that he and Benoit have been teaming, and having some pretty decent matches, Edge has been getting better and more entertaining. Still, though, I don't know how well HHH/Edge would go right now. Adding Stephanie to the mix almost guarantees that Edge would get a damn positive face reaction. I don't want HHH/Stephanie "This is OUR show!" promos every week. But I think Trips could benefit from adding more heat to his ever-improving ring work. Perhaps when they finally dump Flair (and it's coming...) from Evolution, Stephanie could help get the next Evo. heel over, too. Any thoughts? Please don't bring up Lucy the Dog, Jericho's abortion of a World Title run, or "the wedding", because the WWE right now is a lot different than 2002. I think she should be used. reign 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2004 Maybe as a post-Evolution HHH manager but I just don't see what place she would have in Evolution...and only if we didn't get screechy Stephanie promos with her yelling...honestly it seems as though the WWE has been much better with out the McMahons on screen

2GOLD 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2004 Are we sure she can even walk anymore? Her implants seemed to grow and sag each week she was on tv. And you know Stephanie won't stay away from an open mic. She likes to hear her own voice on tv more than HHH.
UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2004 Actually, I want sexy, skinny Stephanie accompanying Evolution, and not being a mouthpiece. But she's far from skinny and sexy now. So I dunno if itd work.

So you have seen her recently? They showed her at the "Hall of Fame" and she didn't look fat at all.

Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2004 Unfortunately, the type of heat that Steph garners isn't "Eddy Guerrero WCW 1997" heat, it's "We fucking legit hate you and don't want to see you" heat.

Guest Choken One Report post Posted May 2, 2004 Here's the thing... These two were amazing in Early 2000, which was WWE at their peak with creativity and Sales along with ass kicking matches on a weekly basis (we're slowly getting back to that point...at least with the matches) but I really doubt they can revive that magic again. However, I never thought HHH would return to the good side of work-rate and quite frankly...He has been kicking ass straight up since 12/29. That match clearly unleashed some hidden motivation in him...
JN News 0 Report post Posted May 3, 2004 They should've done that on Smackdown after the draft lottery. They should've brought Steph back as the Smackdown GM, instead of Kurt Angle. When HHH was drafted to Smackdown, he should've stayed there, and I'm sure that Steph wouldn't have traded him back over to RAW. It would've made that draft lottery actually mean something. Here's how I would play it out. HHH chases after Eddie the WWE Championship all the way up to Smackdown's Vengeance. Stephanie plays Face GM up until Vengeance where she helps turns heel and helps HHH beat Eddie Guererro and become WWE Champion for the 6th time. Then, the happy couple could rule Smackdown with an iron fist, while Edge, Benoit, Jericho, Christian, & the remaining Evolution members could live happily ever after on Eric Bischoff's RAW. Scroby 0 Report post Posted May 3, 2004 To be honest about Steph and I don't really know about the rest of you, I really don't want to see her on TV again! She has personnally always annoyed the crap outta me since the ministary days. She doesn't need to be on tv now or ever again as far as i'm concerned. She isn't a ratings draw, she isn't good on the mic nore in the ring, the only reason she is even on tv is because of her last name. At least when Linda comes around it sorta means something and Vince can give us some entertainment but Steph is just pointless.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted May 3, 2004 I found her delightful to look at till she had those beach balls installed into her chest and started screeching like a banshee. Then I wanted her gone. Very very quickly.

SamoaRowe 0 Report post Posted May 3, 2004 I don't want HHH/Stephanie "This is OUR show!" promos every week. Unfortunately, that's what we'd get. That's what is was back in the late DX days... and I was still in mark mode and hated them for it. But it did make me cheer for whoever came out to interupt. So it works, so I wouldn't bitch. Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted May 3, 2004 I never hated Steph as much as the rest of the board...most of the time. But that her vs her dad just felt so forced onto the audiance. It was an awful pointless angle. Plus I got sick of the "You're defying me!" promo Vince would cut every week so the marks would cheer.
