As Mike Johnson reported yesterday, WWE had planned to bring up Tough Enough 3 winner Matt Cappotelli to take on Chavo for the title, but he suffered a concussion on a house show on 4/24 and could not work last night. So, Stephanie McMahon made the decision, from what I heard, to put Jackie in the bout instead. Jackie has been lobbying to wrestle against a man for a while now. I have talked to a number of people on the Smackdown roster who think this was a horrible move. I agree with them. For the record, Cappotelli was wrestling his old TE3 buddy, Bob Holly, in the match where he got injured.

I mean really what better way to make Chavo a really hated heel then to have him beat the crap out of a women. It makes me sad to know that I cant remember a time when I didnt watch the WWE, and I thought that The WWE would have Chavo beat the crap out of her. God I feel dumb...

At first Smackdown was a great brand with awesome wrestling series and cruiserweight matches. But now the direction of the show seems to be heading a ugly future. You had the opportunity to give your fans the rare occurance of Chavo defending the Cruiserweight title, to any number of top Indi or international Cruiserweights for the title. Stellar matches that would redeem the Division and get people interested. However you decide in all your wisdom to throw Jackie in and she wins the title. I can understand her wanting to wrestle men because she is tough and certainly can hang in matches. But you are suppose to be bringing back crediblity to your division and this is not it. You have awesome talent in the forms of Rey Mystero Jr, and Ultimo Dragon, but neither it seems have made any attempt to capturing the Gold from Chavo. In Ultimo's case you basically billed his debut and then forgot about him afterwards. Now onto John Bradshaw Layfield. I get the fact he is a bad guy. I don't believe you need to establish it by veiled racism towards latinos. I understand that the latino community is a big chunk of the Smackdown viewing public, and you want to rile them up to generate heel heat, but please he is going above and beyond getting the prequisite Boo's in the ring. Try to understand these rantings is not someone angry at the product but rather truly wondering what is happening? Is all the creative power shouldered to Raw making Smackdown creative storyline quality fall by the wayside? A Fan since 86

For all you know, the TE kid just fell on his face, because he's a stupid TE kid who doesn't know what he's doing. This really isn't he best place to be discussing this, what with it being off-topic and all, but lemme just say that you should probably know the circumstances surrounding an injury before going around spouting that Holly did it on purpose.
