Giuseppe Zangara Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 The following people appear on this list based on their posting quality, as well as how much I enjoy(ed) interacting with them (though that does not always apply): Agent of Oblivion: The only person on this list to still actively post, Agent of Oblivion is a perfect example of someone I'd likely never socialize with outside of the board. Not because I don't like him, mind you, but I'd probably not attempt getting past his gruff exterior; were we co-workers, I'd write him off as metalhead stoner nobody. It would be my loss; the man posseses a wicked sense of humor and a wry intelligence that shatters any pre-conceived notions I may have about someone of his ilk. Plus, he's made great use of his moderator powers; I've kept mum about his forcibly changing my screenname, but honestly I thought it was hilarious. I'd say I'd love to go drinking with him were the opportunity ever to arise, but apparently he gets violent and scary when drunk, so maybe we could just smoke a bowl. Kinetic: Ah, yes. My supposed twin here at TSM. Posts very rarely; though too many of his recent posts involve making idiotic statements in the music folder, the man still has a few tricks up his sleeve (see this thread). Newer posters may not know Kinetic, or may wonder why he's spoken of so reverently by certain senior members (or wonder why people keep insisting we're the same person), and it's a shame. Kinetic was one of the wittiest, most clever and inventive of TSM posters; his decision to largely cut himself off from online life may benefit his social activities, but it was a detriment to this board. Some people love him for creating what is arguably the most popular gimmick poster in this board's history--Metal Ed--but I'm more grateful for his introducing bukkake into the TSM vernacular. Kudos, good sir. subliminal_animal: I have no idea what motivates subliminal_animal; a gander at his posting history reveals he started off his TSM tenure as a normal poster, talking about wrestling--but with a greater sense of intelligence than most people here, though that matters little since talking about wrestling is gayer than watching wrestling--but then he changed. I do not know if it was gradual or occurred overnight, nor do I care. What matters is that no one I have ever seen on this board is as capable as putting on as entertaining an evisceration as this man can. What makes it better is he often goes over the heads of the people he's insulting; they realize that they're probably being flamed, but they're too stupid to understand half of what he's saying. He hasn't posted since January, sadly. However, if/when he returns, we will be all the greater for it. LooseCannon: Is very likely my favorite person to ever post here, were I to rank this in order of preference (I haven't been, by the way). You can take much of what I said about Kinetic and apply it to LooseCannon, minus the gimmicks and stuff. I don't know what else to say about him, really; I'll note that, based on my interaction with him on and off the board, he's more my twin than Kinetic. Great, funny guy. If you weren't on this list, it doesn't mean I don't like you...though that is very well the case for many of you. Carry on.
Guest Banders Kennany Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 Is that in order of posting quality or in any order? But either way Agent of Oblivion is a good poster and he would be worthy of anyone's top slot.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted May 11, 2004 Author Report Posted May 11, 2004 It was as I thought of 'em. The purpose of this thread, incidentally, was to spread a little love. I've been far too negative on these boards as of late.
Guest Banders Kennany Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 Have you ever met any of these guys in real life? The way you like them is like they would be close friends. Also, I noticed I am not up there but I am sure you just forgot.
Guest Flyboy Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 Wow. I like all of those guys, too. Oh shit -- Inc. and I must be the same person!
Giuseppe Zangara Posted May 11, 2004 Author Report Posted May 11, 2004 ! No wonder mom cries whenever I mention you.
Guest Banders Kennany Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 Shut up. So I see you used up all the positive energy you had and had to get negative again.
godthedog Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 my one-and-only favorite is edwin. very smart, argues well, funny without the dryness of inc & kinetic, fellow amateur writer. also the only other person on the board i know of who has read 'ulysses' in its entirety.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted May 11, 2004 Author Report Posted May 11, 2004 Edwin's good people; he deserves an honorable mention. I've also read Uylsses.
justsoyouknow Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 Heh...well I know that you dislike me, so my exclusion from that list isn't that much of a surprise. I still love you though.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted May 11, 2004 Author Report Posted May 11, 2004 Look, this wasn't meant to be a list of everyone I like, so don't make a transparent grab at sympathy.
justsoyouknow Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 Look, this wasn't meant to be a list of everyone I like, so don't make a transparent grab at sympathy. I wasn't looking for sympathy, I was only trying to get some banter going. But whatever. Prick. EDIT: fuckin' Piss.
{''({o..o})''} Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 Um, you might want to look up the definition of transparent there, JSYK.
Art Sandusky Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 My omission from his list shows I'm too obscure for the Indie guy to know about, thus making me cooler than everyone by Indie Law.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 Cocksuckingmotherfuckingshit
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 Since we're being all happy and revealing our privates to one another. I too have a confession that only one other person on this board knows about. I was Incanetic. My favorites are IDRM, since he reminds me of me in some instances. Marney, because I can fuck with her all day long and she won't do shit, even if everyone else is afraid of her. She's so fucking haughty, yet vulgar. It's a nice mixture. Also, Incandenza, although I also probably wouldn't be able to stomach him at all if I'd met him in the actual world. I'd write him off as a collegiate indie nobody. Kinetic's sharp too, but he never posts anymore, so I don't like him as much. I'd probably have the same opinion of him as Inc were I to meet him elsewhere. Ditto godthedog, though I've got a bunch of ideas for movies that I'd pester him about. Finally though, my absolute favorite poster on here is, yes, Kotzenjunge. The guy reminds me of me, while still able to be the complete opposite of me. When he flies off the handle at some random poster, it's usually a work of art, not in terms of verbage, but in pure exasperation. Even where common interests are concerned, we have totally opposing viewpoints for the most part. I think we might have similar taste in women, though.
Ripper Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 How one poster can kick so much ass yet never get recognized is beyound me. Of course I am talking about myself.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 Great. Now HD is going to be overwhelemed with "Favorite posters" threads....awesome. I miss Loose Cannon. He was a good guy.
Ripper Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 Great. Now HD is going to be overwhelemed with "Favorite posters" threads....awesome. I miss Loose Cannon. He was a good guy. Either that or ib talking about how he just licked a cats ass and got a buzz or something and what other animals can he lick to get high. You pick.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 I guess I better start a favorite Posters thread then.
godthedog Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 Edwin's good people; he deserves an honorable mention. I've also read Uylsses. i stand corrected, we're up to 3. anybody else?
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 what reading it? I've read it. ...what? I can read!
PLAGIARISM! Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 Me too, though gettin my new wave freak ON to Go 2 will surely help.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 My feelings are continuously being hurt...
Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 IDRM was right, if I wasn't so good at everything, I'd probably make a lot more top of the pops lists.
