THIS year? I'd call total bullshit on those rumors. Sony would have probably unveiled the system at E3 this year if that was true. Besides, I'm pretty sure they would release PS3 in Japan before the US (that's how almost all console launches work.) Maybe you're hearing about the PSP, Sony's new handheld. But they have announced that the PSP is held off until 2005, so the rumors are still bunk.
