Conway and Sly? I know that's La Resistance, but why is he Sylvan Greiner called Sly? I though Kenzo was gonna be on Smackdown? I though Tajiri was getting pushed... Expect the tag titles gone... Now, it's just a tool to make Benoit seem more powerful. The logic behind both reasons is fine enough, but the titles being treated like that sort of lowers it's significance. They should get all the people like Val who have nothing to do, and keep them in some sort of consistent tag team so the division has some depth. There should be at least five full-time tag teams at any given time. Something sounds fishy in that La Res/Evolution tag match so I'm not going to put too much stock into Evolution regaining the titles. I will give you a duo that has to be tag champs at some time in the next three or four months, however. Your Tag Team Champions of the World, William Regal and Eugene! Raw always seems so busy, so a competitive tag division might get overshadowed. Perhaps on Smackdown, since a division there could shine. But I disgress. That Steel Cage match was a beautiful blow-off, but nooo... Really though, they have no other option - it looks like they're saving Benoit/Jericho for SummerSlam, ditching the proposed Benoit/Trips program for the Summer (Winter). They have to have a fresh title picture until Jericho's ready to be reintroduced, so Kane's the man. Jericho just has no other place other than this Christian feud until he gets his shot. The Steel Cage probably should've been saved until an early July Raw. I mean, it's excellent blow-off capabilities would've ignored the feud's mass overdoing. It would put them on the same level as the singles World belt (I mean, they are the WORLD tag team titles, duh) and not expose the lack of tag teams so much. Instead, we got makeshift tag teams a go-go on RAW for a bit (HurriKANE, Jericho/Christian until they evolved into a unit, Flair/Batista), had the Smackdown Six for a while on SD, then the WGTT vs. Guerreros/Eddie&Tajiri feuds, and now those belts are relegated to matches involving Goldust 2K4, a guy who should be getting a solo push, and Velocity fodder like Gunn/Holly or FBI. Batista and Ric Flair vs French people, why the hell would that happen? Rhyno vs Kenzo, as far as I know Kenzo's ad's have ran on raw since the japanese guy hating America ran that one time so I highly doubt it, plus we haven't seen A-train since the lottery so I highly doubt he'll even appear on Raw from now to the PPV. Nitro/Jericho program for a couple months...Benoit retains the title against Kane at Blood... and then Jericho asks for a title shot...Benoit accepts...Bischoff refuses to allow Benoit to accept challenges THAT easily and DENIES it. So for about 3 weeks, Jericho goes through a gauntlet of "set-backs"...Benoit keeps protesting but not too much as he still defends the title against the mid-carders. Eventully, Jericho overcomes the obsectales and Bischoff is forced to make it Benoit/Jericho for the World Title at Slam (in Canada no less)... As for Christian...Who knows? I say have a Tajiri feud for Bad Blood...and then do a X/Eugene thing for Slam...Think about how great Evil Trish/Cockybastard X Vs Eugene and Regal would be...in the promos/skits alone... Edge is (thankfully) left out in the cold...I'm sure he'll face Batistia at Blood...not sure where he goes from there however (although they will keep Edge a face for the hometown factor at 'Slam...leaving him virtually nothing to do...unless Shawn turns...which wouldn't be a bad idea) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Although he'd lose the Jericho program, getting the best of Jericho for a little while until the blowoff would get him over enough where he could carry himself.
