Paul Stanley 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2004 Ringling Bros. came to the Xcel yesterday and during a trapeze(or whatever) trick show a woman fell to her death, crew came out and cleaned up the blood and the show continued, i left a few minutes after. I can't enjoy a Circus like that.

Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted May 23, 2004 I'm surprised they weren't using nets. Screw the pride when your life is on the line. At the same time I wonder how many parents will be sending lawyers their way with therapy bills for their traumatised children. I'm certain some people were thinking of ways to cash in on it. Sadly enough its the nature of society today. In a much happier note when I was like 7 and the circus came to town the seats near the front weren't taken so we moved up for free. I got to interact with the clowns and pet some of the non-dangerous animals like the llamas, elephants, and pony. It was one of my happier childhood moments. When my mother was a child and went to the circus an elephant shit right in front of her, she got sick and she said it ruined the whole event for her. Giuseppe Zangara 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2004 I haven't been to the circus since I was seven. I ate so much popcorn I got sick, promptly throwing up in my dad's Gremlin after leaving.
Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted May 23, 2004 I don't enjoy circus popcorn. I did however eat cotton candy and somehow got some stuck in my hair so my whole head and hands for the rest of the day had little pieces of stray lint stuck to them. I looked like one of those little dirty kids that grow up in extreme poverty on that day.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted May 23, 2004 I find that insulting to poor people! Everyone knows the dirt covers up the lint stuck to them. Edit: Whoops, forgot the main topic. Thats what you get when trying to be a show-off.

Some things don't change Speaking of elephant output, when I was in 6th grade and my class was at the elephant section of the zoo, one of the elephants let out a long huge stream of piss and just about everyone in the class was going "ewww" I thought it was the coolest thing ever

Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted May 24, 2004 Damn, she was really cute too. I hate when attractive women die. There are so many other people that God can take from the Circus. Like the Bearded Lady, those motorcycle people in the giant steel ball from American Gladiators, and Circus Midgets...they're just creepy.

kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2004 Uh, this remind any of you of something along the same lines as this? Happend about *this time* in 1999. That was the first thing that came to my mind. And could you imagine if someone here said "U GOT SERVED" when Owen Hart died? (Don't get me wrong, I still laughed at the aforementioned post.) Also, I read about this story not too long ago -- weird that someone here was at the event. I'm surprised that PETA didn't say the death is justified due to the way circuses treat their animals... Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted May 24, 2004 The circus is the best thing in the world and the worst thing in the world on hallucinogens. I like the little trainwreck carnivals that still float around the shittier parts of the country. Always some colorful personalities and treacherous rides at those things. I love talking to carnies..they've got things sorted out in a way.

I wouldn't go within 100 yards of those places...

Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted May 24, 2004 Only here would those last two replies be posted... My post was better though. That being said I didn't really like the "Laugh it off comments" either, but people are free to speak their minds and some people suck. If you haven't realised this by now you're in worse condition than they are.

Your Paragon of Virtue 0 Report post Posted May 25, 2004 Only here would those last two replies be posted... Yeah, seriously. But what else do you expect from a forum where there's a longass thread asking people if they would or wouldn't do random strangers? I mean that's not that bad I guess, but in this context a line should be drawn.
Guest Jimbo Report post Posted May 25, 2004 I went to the circus with my father once when I was little. I ate too many peanuts, and after a tumultuous metro rail ride home, I ran into see my mother, gave her a hug, and promptly puked all over her. She wasn't pleased. Guest El Satanico Report post Posted May 26, 2004 About a week or so after his death I went into the WWF chat rooms as "owen_hart's_ghost." Wasn't warmly received... You did such activities? I also did such activities. Did you happen to be on AOL at that time? There was a whole group that joked at Owen's expense on AOL and I was involved...as was one of the seldom seen TSM mods.
