I find it hard to believe that these people have gone through their lives without anyone telling them how bad they are that when the judges tell them they're great, they buy it.

Is it legit? The article I read made comments like it is a spoof, is it that unintentionally bad? That may be more entertaining then the real thing. Although, I have avoided American Idol and still know the whole William Hung craze, so it may not be all that entertaining...

They intentionally pick the bad singers out of the crop and trick them into thinking they're good. I don't think the show's too bad. Some of the performances are quite funny. They shouldn't have kicked off Ross/Rose, though. He was my fav.
starvenger Posted May 31, 2004 Report Posted May 31, 2004 I've watched every ep so far, and I'm still amazed that any competition where Tone Loc is a judge can be taken seriously. The judge, Briggs, has some great one-liners. One of my favourites was when he called an auditioner a MILF - F standing for "Fly to Hollywood". Maybe. But Vitamin C had the best comment when she told a GOOD singer "Some day, you'll thank me for what I'm about to tell you. NEXT!!" Anyways, I thought for sure that Frank (the incredibly thin guy who wore heels) would win. Now, it's got to be Mario (the other thin guy) or Nina Diva, who I suppose is the anti-Jasmine. And as far as Much goes, they can't have Rick the Temp on 24/7 (as much as they'd like to try) so this is obviously filler for that...

Dude, at least half of those 'contestants' have to be actors. There's no way they can't be...

You can lie to a contestant and say they're great but if they saw how bad the other performances were they'd be onto the joke in a second. And JoJo is SO going to the fucking top of the heap in this one.

Much also really has to stop producing all these Top richest/fashionable/Hot or Not celebrity shows. I thought they were supposed to be the anti-MTV.

Thing is, even if they think they're good, just judging by the other contestant's looks when they do eliminations, they've got to have a little thoght about how they don't look like talented singers, i.e. Mario.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA> They might as well throw cows blood on their prom dress, and point and laugh. Then maybe the "winner" will throw cameras at them with their mind. Then, and only then, would I watch. THEY'RE ALL GONNA LAUGH AT YOU~!
