BoboBrazil 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2004 Sooo something big should happen here tonight I guess. Maybe Kanyon will finally debut.
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2004 We're likely to see the inevitable Jarrett title win tonight. The plus side is the match rules are so confusing...it's possible no one will notice.

What's so confusing about an incredibly overbooked gimmick match? You basically avoid getting pinned, try to hang the title on the rung above the ladder to win it. BoboBrazil 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2004 Raven should win the belt with help from Kanyon. Raven is the best man to lead TNA on national tv that they have. Raven could cement his heel turn tonight if he does it against someone like AJ or Truth. I don't have a problem with Truth holding it if he stops the stupid dancing. Jarrett should not hold the belt for a long time.

He will hold the title forever, just watch....
BoboBrazil 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2004 Oh yeah, I wonder if everyone will debut their new outfits tonight. They were supposed to be getting new outfits that looked more professional for IMPACT!
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2004 I'd leave the title on Truth...but I'm biased. I'd leave the title on him if they were heading into a real natoinal primetime TV spot...So I'd certainly leave it on him for Impact. He's the most dynamic and unique star they have. They have better workers, sure...but they only have one of him.
BoboBrazil 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2004 I have no problems with the Truth other than his dancing. If he stops that he will be a good champion.

BoboBrazil 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2004 I'd like to see Shamrock come back. I liked him as champ and fans really got behind him if you watched the reactions on the first couple of shows. Fans were popping for arm bars and and leg locks from him.

I don't know if that' swhat they'd want for new fans though...because I know a lot of fans still think of him as "K-Kwik" when they see him, so i guesss that's somethign to think about. Hopefullly they don't put the title on Jarett though, I'd rather see it on AJ, but of course that's not gonna happen seeing as he just lost it, and they never do much with his title reigns anyways. But yea...first time ordering since like..Genesis! Or I dunno, been a while since I caught a full show.
DMann2003 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2004 Well, the World title match sounds interesting, so this'll be the first NWA TNA event I get since September.
Exslade ZX 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2004 Is Simon Diamond now..."Irish Pat"? I belive that's what I heard. When the hell did that happen..?
Guest Donners Report post Posted June 3, 2004 I was actually reading an interview with Diamond/Kenney not too long ago where he said that as Simon Diamond he wasn't able to make it to the ME, but with a new name that could change. I like him as a wrestler, but I can't see that happening at all.
Guest Donners Report post Posted June 3, 2004 Ooh, didn't see Kazarian retaining.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Report post Posted June 3, 2004 Somebody want to fill me in ? It's been about 2 months since I watched TNA every week like I used to, now I just turn in and out. Okay, a couple of weeks ago I remember AJ being the champ. Now The Truth has the title ? When's the last time Triple J... I mean Jarrett had it ?
Guest Donners Report post Posted June 3, 2004 He dropped it to AJ in April. Impact will feature an X Division contender match to see who faces Kazarian in next week's PPV.
Exslade ZX 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2004 God if that wasn't the gayest finisher ever...Jeff Jarett actually walked out with it. I was hoping that since they thing fucked up they might have had to change plans seeing as AJ was already climbing up . And there not even gonna explain the reason for the chick coming out there? But whatever it was still a pretty good show.

Guest Donners Report post Posted June 3, 2004 Jarrett won in 20 minutes to win the NWA World Title. Insert shock here. Apparently a **** match.
Guest Donners Report post Posted June 3, 2004 Bah, pre-emption. Sounds like a good match, and there's a ready-made storyline of Killings and Styles chasing the belt.
Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted June 3, 2004 A pretty meh show. The Main was good, but nothing else was really THAT great.

BoboBrazil 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2004 FUCK JEFF JARRETT. Now I guess he can hold onto the belt for another 7 months. I give up all hope for TNA. Well I still want them to succeed to have a 2nd promotion around, but this sucks. Their shows have been boring lately as well, since they have cleaned up.
Guest Donners Report post Posted June 3, 2004 I don't mind it at all. Have it on a person with at least slight name recognition, build up Styles/Killings as genuine contenders for a new audience and THEN give them the belts. Going in with them as champions would be far more damaging than Jarrett IMO.

BoboBrazil 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2004 Yeah it makes since for the faces to chase the heel champion and build up to the win, but what will happen once it finally happens? They will hold it for a short period then give it back to Jeff Jarrett. Funny how Jarrett can always win it despite the odds against him even though he is a heel, but the faces need outside interference.
Guest Donners Report post Posted June 3, 2004 Styles didn't have much interference in his last run IIRC, and Jarrett's heel runs were built around interference from Russo to the point of ridiculousness.
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2004 As promised, I will no longer order TNA PPVs unless they are X Cup shows. Why? There's one reason why... BECAUSE I FUCKING HATE JEFF JARRETT! Seriously. The man is NOT a draw, and only gets the title because his father runs the company. His matches are the same bland tripe over and over again, his promo's are as boring as the first 20 minutes of 2001: A Space Odyssey (with the monkeys), and his fan reaction is equal to Glenn Gilberti. The thing is? GLENN GILBERTI IS A FUCKING CURTAIN-JERKER, AND JARRETT IS IN THE MAIN EVENT! Fuck TNA. I hope they go under.
