HandofFate Posted June 6, 2004 Report Posted June 6, 2004 No one has mentioned it yet, but I was wondering when they will release what Impact! did. I know that it is played at so many different times, but I was wondering if they might be releasing the ratings for the show sometime soon so that we can get an idea of what it did. Is there some site where we might be able to find out what it did?
Guest Choken One Posted June 6, 2004 Report Posted June 6, 2004 I believe it's impossible really to get a good gauge on how many people watched it since it aired in so many differnt slots at so many different markets. I'm flipping around Saturday afternoon and i flip past FSN and what do i see? Bench Pressing. Are you seriously telling that TNA couldn't get that nice cushy 2:00 saturday afternoon slot but bench pressing could? Beyond the Glory is FSN "staple" show...and they air a new one every sunday night at 8:00...why not air IMPACT after it?
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted June 6, 2004 Report Posted June 6, 2004 Ratings should probably be out Monday or Tuesday.
Scroby Posted June 6, 2004 Report Posted June 6, 2004 Are you seriously telling that TNA couldn't get that nice cushy 2:00 saturday afternoon slot but bench pressing could? That time slot didn't even work for WCW worldwide tapings. I rather have it on a friday cause normally there's a baseball game on a saturday.
syxx2001 Posted June 6, 2004 Report Posted June 6, 2004 And they didnt want to pay alot of money for a weekend slot. And look at this, alot more teens are at home during the week instead of the weekends. At least little kids until mom and dad get home from work.
2GOLD Posted June 6, 2004 Report Posted June 6, 2004 TNA is really really screwed badly already since the ratings will only account for the 4pm time slot they were assigned. So the COMCAST SPORTS NET stuff, cutting off DC/Baltimore from the time slot is going to sting them a ton. They signed the deal for 3pm and that is the only rating time FOX will look at more than likely. Which really sucks for TNA. And I hate Comcast Sports Net. I mean, pre-empt next weekend for a baseball game that was played earlier in the night?!?!?! That is some bull right there.
Guest JacK Posted June 6, 2004 Report Posted June 6, 2004 When do the ratings come out anyway? And what is pre-emption, and why is it such a big deal? The real interesting thing will be if there's a noticeable jump in PPV buys, and if that jump is sustained. And if that sustained jump added to advertising revenue is enough to cover the cost of the TV timeslot.

Pre-emption=When you are moved from your time slot for something else and randomly placed elsewhere.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted June 6, 2004 Report Posted June 6, 2004 So there's no Impact! on Comcast Sports Net on Saturday night midnight next week (week 2) ? In Philly?
Spaceman Spiff Posted June 6, 2004 Report Posted June 6, 2004 TV Guide lists Impact! as being on at midnight.
razazteca Posted June 6, 2004 Report Posted June 6, 2004 So TNA and ROH really hate each other so much that the Philly market refuses to put Impact on a decent timeslot. [/mark mode]

Or in this case not shown at all I have a feeling this will be happening a lot since the O's are replayed a lot on Comcast Sportsnet so if anyone wants to call the number I posted earlier and complain/ask that they replay it, you're more than welcome to and to report back what they tell you. As I said I'm just gonna bug someone I know with Direct TV for a tape of it this week, but it might get old if this happens a lot...
