negative chants, no idea why. Latino Heat responded them with “Germany

sucks!”.

 

Eddy's act is being so overblown by his detractors. Yeah, it was unprofessional, but you're talking about a minor incident.

But when you have the supposed _face champion_ say that "germany sucks" because "Germany" -for some reason or another- booed him, it's not really showing any appreciation for that town/country. Why would fans want to come back? A better solution would have been trying to win them over with a "hey, you guys can boo me, you can cheer me, as long as you come out and react to me that's great - I love Germany and I hope next time you show the same spirit you did tonight". Of course, in retrospect its easy for me to say that, but Eddie has been doing this for 15+ years, he should know better.

"Germany sucks" is not "snapping." It's misinterpreting a small vocal minority as a mass heel reaction. My guess is that it was pretty quiet outside of that group and the show had blown up to that point anyway. Had he jumped out of the ring and attacked the fans, that'd be snapping.

 

That they're considering this to be a sign of Eddie not being able to be a champion yet the Bradshaw incident hasn't had any reported reprecussions from WWE says volumes about the company and how its bread is buttered.

 

This isn't a matter of supporting Guererro over others at all times, it's a matter of a misplaced crowd reaction compared to a blatantly illegal and inflammatory gesture, nay, series of gestures.

As my Nickname tells you, I'm a german Fan and I've been on the Show in Oberhausen on Sunday. So I'll try to explain what exactly happened:

 

In the beginning of the Match, everything was fine. Eddie got a very good reaction, IMO the biggest Pop of the evening after The Undertaker. The Eddie-Chants were really loud and you couldn't hear any bad chants. But after a few minutes in the Match, the Crowd calmed down a little bit. There were about 50 Fans in a Block that had fun chanting for the Heels all night and they used the quiet Crowd to chant "Eddie sucks", which was very loud then since the rest of the Crowd was pretty quiet.

 

Eddie Guerrero started to react to them, looking at them shaking his head and so on, nothing really special. But there was 1 Fan in the first row who started to get personal. He told Eddie that he was addicted to drugs and said every bad english word you can imagine, going from asshole to motherfucker and so on. Eddie really got pissed now and started to argue with this fan, which lead to a even louder "Eddie sucks" Chant by the so called "Heel Chant Block". The "normal" Fans didn't know what was going on and they were therefore pretty quite.

 

Some Fans found it funny to chant "Eddie sucks" along with the Heel Chant Block. So you have about 500-1000 German Fans chanting "Eddie sucks", and the rest (about 4000 Fans) being pretty quiet. This lead to Eddie really getting mad and then saying "Germany sucks", which ruined the Crowd completely for about 10 Minutes. Who wants to chant for Eddie after he tells you that you suck? So some started a Chant for JBL and others didn't react in any way. After about 10 Minutes, the Crowd got into the Match again and was about 75% pro Eddie. However, the Main Event sucked because with the exception of about 500 Fans, the Crowd was dead for nearly the whole Match.

That makes it even more obvious that his nerves are getting frayed lately. He does need some time off. Would hate for him to lose to Bradshaw and then take a break. If he is indeed working too hard however then its really gonna mess him up further down the line if he keeps the pace up.

Now that they've basically killed Germany, they better be glad Hiroko Suzuki talked to Vince and got him to scrap the Hirohito gimmick or else Japan would be dead too.

Well, as another post reported, the road agents told the wrestlers to react to how the fans are cheering or booing, so I think Eddie might have just responded to how he was told to. I don't blame him either. I'd probably have acted worse had I have been in his situation.

LOP was reporting that management was pissed at Eddie's actions. It was fine for Edge...he's nearing a possible heel turn, and he was against Flair who gets face reactions. Eddie is not nearing a heel turn as far as we can see, and Bradshaw is a heel with no face heat.

 

And just to clarify, Eddie's my favorite active wrestler, so this isn't anti-Eddie bias or anything.
