NoCalMike Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 I remember seeing a live white zombie performance on the public access show "on the road" years back and I was amazed at the energy and sheer fun she looked lke she was having, performing for all these metalheads. After White Zombie's demise, anyone know what she ended up doing?
converge241 Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 Sean ysveault? or however you spelled it? she did that band Famous Monsters afterwards and i havent heard of since
Corey_Lazarus Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 Wasn't the chick J? I think Sean Yseult was the dude...but I've always heard conflicting stories on them... I saw a Famous Monsters album once at Strawberries under the White Zombie section (which is the only section with each album released by the band at Strawberries, aside from the section for The Beatles, since WZ only released two original albums and one remix, not counting the three or four indy releases before Sexorcisto). Almost picked it up, too. What do Famous Monsters sound like?
Black Lushus Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 i'm almost positive Sean is the chick, i swear i heard a story about her marrying someone from sevendust...or wait, was that the chick from coal chamber? dammit i get these female bass players confused...except for Paz, i'd slip her the meat anytime...
elite Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 It is Sean Yseult, her real name is Shauna Reynolds or something like that. Last thing I read about her was that she was co-owning some bar and playing in a band called Rock City Morgue.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 J. Mascis was their guitarist. Dinosaur Jr's, too.
razazteca Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 Isnt J also Rob's brother and went by the name Spyder while playing with Powerman 5000?
Corey_Lazarus Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 No. Mike "Spider" Cummings was living in Boston while Rob moved to LA. Mike formed PM5K in the mid 90's, and they were a funk/rap/hardcore act. The pre-Stars Revolt stuff is really good, actually.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 I thought Rob's brother started up some band called Static-X or some shit like that
Corey_Lazarus Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 Nope. Static-X just tries too hard to be like White Zombie and Ministry.
Guest Doyo Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 J. Mascis was their guitarist. Dinosaur Jr's, too. totally different people. Mascis was also the singer for Dinosaur Jr.
Nighthawk Posted June 11, 2004 Report Posted June 11, 2004 No, that was his father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate.
