Only The Strong Survive Posted June 13, 2004 Report Posted June 13, 2004 That's awesome dude. Nice work. Too bad he NEVER gets the chance to show off his skills in a WWE ring, cause I think he could definitely light the crowds on fire compared to the rest of the Suckdown! crew.
Guest Real F'n Show Posted June 13, 2004 Report Posted June 13, 2004 Thanks dude, that's great, just great.
EricMM Posted June 13, 2004 Report Posted June 13, 2004 Too bad 90+% of that is ROH stuff, funny I just watched the 1 yr. anniversary show yesterday, what a KILLER set of matches he had. On one hand I hope he gets everything he wants from WWE, almost no one deserves it more, or could do more with it. But on the other hand, with what he's accomplished in the WWE so far, I'm kind of waiting for him to leave. He did so much more for me on the Indys..

Hektik Posted June 13, 2004 Report Posted June 13, 2004 You know what, Paul London is a jobber. I really just realized this right now. The cruiserweight division is dead and it will be completly gone in a few months. I was reading the Observer and it said that the WWE will be going back to 80s/early 90s style squash matches (for a few matches, not the entire show). They are doing it as way of getting their new gimmick wrestlers over. The cruiserweight division is going to become their "enhancement talent." Paul London has become Barry Horowitz. I think it is a shame because I thought London along with Kendrick could have become the WWE's best and most popular tag team. They could have made the marks forget about Jeff Hardy. But I guess Spanky was the one that kind of screwed him there.

I see where your coming from, although I wouldn't blame Spanky too much, as it's not like London and Spanky as a team were going anywhere anyway. I don't recall them even having a tag match on Smackdown, only Velocity. London should follow Spanky's career choice quickly, as WWE is only keeping him under contract so he doesn't become a big star in TNA.
Spaceman Spiff Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 I was reading the Observer and it said that the WWE will be going back to 80s/early 90s style squash matches (for a few matches, not the entire show). They are doing it as way of getting their new gimmick wrestlers over. The cruiserweight division is going to become their "enhancement talent." Whee. Problem is, the audience is different now. Big, talentless lugs coming out and doing "ME...SMASH!" doesn't work anymore (Nathan Jones, Heidenreich, Kenzo, Tomko). Using the cruisers and smaller guys (who aren't cruisers) effectively would work better, IMO. Faster, more athletic guys would do more to steady ratings, possibly bring in more/younger viewers, and hold together the midcard than the gimmicks, and extreme gimmicks don't work in the ME. I don't see how reverting back to this mindset can do any good.
humongous2002 Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 Great video, it's a shame that WWE is against talented cruiserweights and more into untalented hosses like Crapshaw,Mordercrap and the Underseller.
notJames Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 Any chance of getting this video in Quicktime format for us lowly Mac users? Pretty please?
